Lan turned to look at his husband who was watching them when he was talking with his brother. He shook his head at him, to let him know that the task was not going to be easy.
Lan was now worried. From what his brother had just said, it showed that indeed he still harbours a deep rooted hatred for their cousin.
Now he understood what his husband meant by getting his brother to forgive their cousin eventually. He didn't know that his brother still held grudges against him.
Now he will make it his personal business to get the two to work together and like his husband said, hopefully that helps his brother to let go of his hatred for the other person.
Lan knows how hating someone only destroys you. It took a long time before he himself could actually forgive the guy. His brother is too young to let anger or hatred to stay in his heart. He doesn't want that for his younger brother.
