Chapter 49 - Chapter 49 let them go

Kyra awoke to find herself engulfed in darkness, unable to see anything around her. She cautiously stepped forward, navigating through the black void with no source of light to guide her.

Suddenly, a glimmer of light appeared in the distance, beckoning her towards it. Filled with a mixture of hope and trepidation, she hurried towards the light. However, her heart skipped a beat when the surroundings transformed into a sinister shade of red, casting an eerie glow over everything. The oppressive silence sent shivers down her spine, intensifying her fear.

"Hmmmmm..." A voice whispered from behind, causing Kyra to startle. A cold sensation washed over her, causing her hair to stand on end and beads of sweat to form on her forehead. She found herself paralyzed, unable to move or utter a single word. It was as if someone had taken control of her body, leaving her breathless and overwhelmed. The weight of a presence bore down on her, and she could feel a pair of dark eyes boring into her soul.

"Y.O.U," the voice uttered, sending a wave of terror through Kyra. Her heart raced in her chest, fear gripping her every fiber.

'Oh, please, God, save me,' Kyra whispered in desperate prayer, her voice trembling. She felt an invisible force constricting her throat, choking the life out of her.

With a sharp gasp, Kyra jolted awake, her eyes wide open with terror. The remnants of fear clung to her, her heart pounding in her chest.

"Shh... everything is okay now. Don't worry, Kyra. I'm here with you," Lucas whispered soothingly as he embraced Kyra, gently patting her back to provide comfort.

Lucas had fallen asleep while holding Kyra. It was already midnight when he was abruptly awakened by her sobs and desperate cries for help. Startled, he immediately turned his attention to Kyra and was taken aback by her distressed state.

Tears streamed down her face, her quivering eyelashes and trembling lips revealing her inner turmoil. Her entire body shook with fear.

Without hesitation, Lucas enveloped her in a warm hug, offering comfort and reassurance. His blue eyes flickered with a hint of darkness.

'That female dared to harm my Kyra, causing her such trauma. I won't let her get away with it,' he thought fiercely as he held her tightly.

His silver locks cascaded messily onto his forehead, concealing his hidden emotions. Breaking the embrace, he noticed that Kyra had fallen asleep.

They were back in the room where she had stayed previously. Lucas glanced around, searching for something to help ease her discomfort. Spotting some clean cloth nearby, he wet it with cold water and gently began wiping away the perspiration that covered her face.

Her fair, milky skin flushed with redness. The more he observed her condition, the stronger the flames of revenge burned within his heart.

Never before had he experienced such intense emotions, the urge to inflict harm on someone. He had always strived to maintain friendly relations with everyone. But now, when someone had dared to harm what was rightfully his, his treasure, his love, his Kyra, Lucas felt a fire within him.

He held Kyra close, pressing a gentle kiss on the crown of her head. He didn't feel sleepy; his focus was on the Kil female who had dared to harm Kyra.

However, at that moment, his priority was to provide comfort to Kyra, knowing that she was plagued by nightmares.

The events of the day had left her frightened, and he couldn't bear the thought of leaving her alone. His mind was consumed by the image of her tear-streaked face.

The curtains billowed, revealing a pitch-black night devoid of stars. A chilling coldness permeated the room, and ominous shadows seemed to leer at them with malicious intent.

In the dimness, a horn-shaped silhouette caught Lucas's attention through the window. He raised an eyebrow suspiciously.

However, his doubts were dispelled as he realized it was simply a bird perched on a nearby tree.

Unbeknownst to him, as he shifted his gaze away, the dark shadows returned, lurking unnoticed.

On the fourth floor, in Vincent's room

A massive, dark snake with black scales slithered within a pool of water.

Vincent leaned against the wall of his swimming pool, his face glistening with moisture, enhancing his striking features. His Adam's apple bobbed as he opened his narrow, blood-red eyes.

Motionless, his gaze remained fixed on his younger brother, who peacefully slept in his bed. However, Vincent's mind was in disarray, consumed by chaos.

He had already grounded Emma and didn't do anything because he wanted Kyra to punish her.

Vincent had never been one to conceal his emotions, and when he began developing feelings for Kyra, despite only knowing her for a short time, he accepted that he felt attraction toward her.

After all, why wouldn't he? Kyra was undeniably beautiful and had a great personality.

He tightly rubbed his face, closing his eyes as his chest rose and fell with each breath, reflecting the turmoil within him.

Should he let go of Wolf and Kyra? He doesn't want to end up in hell by falling in love with any female.

However, before letting them go, he planned to present them with a condition. He couldn't simply release them without some form of recompense. Right?
