Chapter 47 - Chapter 47 Truth

Vincent launched himself towards Lucas, aiming for his neck, but Lucas swiftly evaded the attack by utilizing his sharp claws. With a swift movement, Lucas managed to scratch Vincent's scaly skin, leaving visible marks.

In response, Lucas let out a fierce growl, As the fight ensued, a few of Vincent's feral group snakes encircled Lucas, attempting to overwhelm him. However, Lucas remained composed, undeterred by the situation.

Vincent closely observed every move Lucas made, growing increasingly infuriated by the audacity of this wolf who dared to disrupt their plans. He desired to teach Lucas a lesson he would not soon forget.

Without hesitation, the combatants resumed their intense battle. The once-silver fur of Lucas gradually transformed into a deep shade of red, stained by the exchange of violent blows and wounds inflicted by Vincent and his feral group snakes.

Vincent glared at the wolf on the ground, his mind racing with thoughts. 'If I can't kill him outright, I'll make sure he suffers,' he muttered under his breath.

Jimmy's eyes widened in surprise when he returned to find Lucas lying injured on the ground. He hadn't anticipated Lucas attempting to escape.

"Let me go... My Kyra was in danger," Lucas spoke, his voice filled with genuine concern for Kyra.

The words hung in the air, causing a ripple of reactions among those present.

"My Kyra?"

"Does this wolf have a history with that female?"

Speculations and questions swirled within their hearts.

Vincent's expression twisted with a mix of shock and realization. "Wait, so your mate is Kyra?"

Lucas remained silent, standing up and shaking off his fur.

The silence spoke volumes, confirming the connection between Lucas and Kyra.

It became clear that Kyra had risked everything to enter their castle and save Lucas. And now, it seemed they were soon to be mates, as no other male scents were detected on Kyra.

"Answer me!" Vincent's frustration boiled over, his voice echoing through the forest.

Lucas smiled, his admission filled with a mix of pride and concern. "Yes, Kyra is my mate. She came here to rescue me because, you know, I have to go back to the castle. She's still in danger"

"Trust me, no one cares about you once you're gone," Emma said, gripping Kyra's hair tightly.

"Who the hell are you, and why are you--" Kyra began, interrupted by one of Emma's male holding her in place.

"Shut up and don't ask questions," Emma snapped, pausing to look at her favorite strong male, who held a rank of five. "Make sure you bury her alive far away from here."

Her male nodded obediently. He carried Kyra in his arms, feeling a mix of guilt and obligation. Who was he to deny his female's wishes?

The guards didn't stop him; Emma had already bribed them to be on her side, so they didn't care about anyone else's well-being. Their only concern was personal gain.

Kyra had lost consciousness after being attacked from behind by two males. The pain coursing through her body made it difficult for her to regain control. She desperately wanted to open her eyes and fight back.

But try as she might, she couldn't open her eyes. It felt as though she was on the brink of death.

"Where are you, Lucas..." she murmured softly, picturing his handsome face in her mind, struggling to catch her breath.

Her breathing grew fainter as he placed her in the ground. Emma's male looked at her with a remorseful expression, but his hands didn't stop digging a large hole in the ground.

Being a rank five Beastman, he was incredibly fast. His claws were sharp and sizable, allowing him to quickly dig a hole the size of Kyra.

"Sorry, female," he muttered as he placed her in the hole and began burying her, covering her with soil.

Soil fell onto her eyelashes and pink lips, tears clinging to her lashes.

'When did I become so weak?' she wondered.

Breathing became increasingly difficult as she tried to grasp for oxygen, but it offered no relief.

Her vision blurred with dark spots.

She heard noises.

"What the heck are you doing with my female?" Lucas's voice boomed, his eyes bloodshot.

Beside him stood Vincent, his jaws clenched. He never anticipated that his own feral group snake would be so cruel as to bury a female alive.

Especially a female he cared for.

His tail lashed furiously as he swiftly coiled around the level five male, who hissed back in defiance.

Lucas paid no attention to them as he ran to the site, frantically digging a hole. His heart ached at the sight before him; it was his fault this had happened.

He couldn't even protect the female he cared for. As he dug, he quickly retrieved Kyra, cradling her in his arms. Ignoring Vincent and the other snakes, he sprinted toward a nearby castle.

"HEALER! HEALER!" he shouted as he rushed into the healer's room, carrying a mud-covered Kyra.

"What happened, wolf boy?" Healer Amos asked, awakened from his slumber. He was growing old and spent most of his time in his room.

"Look at my female... please save her, please," Lucas pleaded, placing her gently on the bed.

Healer Amos was taken aback as he examined Kyra. When had she become his female? But this was not the time to ponder such matters.

"Clean her body with these wipes," he instructed Lucas, preparing his tools.

Lucas nodded, realizing that due to the rain, the ground was muddy and wet mud clung to Kyra's face, body, and hair.

"I'll take you back home soon, Kyra," he thought, gently wiping her body with a damp cloth.

However, he failed to notice certain changes in Kyra's body.

Vincent hurled him to the ground, blood splattering across his face, but his expression remained stoic.

He glanced at the dying, enormous snake on the ground, unaffected by its plight.

He was Emma's mate, and she had proven to be truly ruthless by attempting to kill another female.

He vowed to ensure she faced the consequences for her actions.

While he couldn't harm a female himself, today she had crossed a line by attempting to take another female's life.

He slithered toward the castle, with more snakes following closely behind him.

So, Lucas's mate was actually Kyra...

He connected all the dots.

Afterward, when he took a wolf with him to the castle, a strangely appearing female, injured and without her mates...

Lucas got angry when he saw him outside Kyra's room...

Then, they came together downstairs...
