Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 Eden

In a spacious study room, a large table was positioned in the center, with thick, yellowish papers spread across it. Standing at the table was Kyle, a tall man with ginger hair and golden highlights. He pointed at the papers, his eyes filled with enthusiasm. Kyle was the architectural designer responsible for constructing their new tribe.

"Boss, if we want to build a tribe, we need to pay attention to the small details. If we construct houses like other beastmen, we might encounter problems when winter comes and we have to go into hibernation. There is also a higher risk of being attacked," Kyle explained, holding a graphite stick wrapped in string.

Vincent, furrowing his brows, asked, "Do you have any ideas for a house that would suit our needs?"

"I'm working on it, boss. Most of the time, we stay in water or wet caves, but I'm not sure what approach to take," Kyle replied, leaning on the table and pointing at the blueprint.

"I was thinking, why not design houses that resemble caves? However, our area frequently faces disasters like floods and earthquakes. We need to construct houses with a solid foundation," Kyle continued. Vincent examined the blueprint, lost in deep contemplation.

"Boss, why don't we just continue living here?" another beastman chimed in, observing their concerns about building a tribe.

There were many of them, and most had already built hidden nests around the castle. They were content with their current living arrangements, wondering why their boss was so worried about constructing a tribe.

"No, we can't live like this forever. We need our own privacy," Kyle replied, gritting his teeth. The snakes in their tribe were evidently content with living together.

Kyle had witnessed numerous snake beasts hiding and watching females and their mates during mating. It disgusted him.

Vincent remained silent, engrossed in thought as he studied the blueprint.

"Boss, what do you think of the blueprints I've drawn? Take a look and see if any of them catch your eye. They're based on the designs commonly used by other beast tribes," Kyle said, pushing the blueprints closer to Vincent.

Vincent glanced at them, but he wasn't impressed. The blueprints lacked the detail he was searching for, and he sensed that something was missing.

"I don't like any of them," Vincent spoke, pushing the blueprints back to Kyle.

Frustrated, Kyle couldn't achieve the desired results. He wanted to find what was missing and design something that suited their habits best.

"Oh, boss, when are you throwing a party for us to celebrate becoming normal citizens?" another snake beast asked eagerly.

Hearing this, Vincent looked at everyone and spoke. "Soon! But first, let's get some clothes for the new female."

Everyone was shocked. Vincent had never shown interest or concern in any female before.

Kyle widened his eyes in surprise. "What did I miss? Can anyone fill me in?"

"Quiet," Vincent hissed coldly. "No one will discuss this topic." Everyone fell silent, doubting whether their boss had developed feelings for the new female.

Lucas's eyes sparkled with excitement as he swiftly transformed into a wolf and hid behind the big bed.

"Female!"

"Female!"

She recognized the cheerful voice of Toma and quickly opened the door. There stood Toma, blushing and holding a plate of food. Beside him was an unfamiliar male with waist-length dark green hair, light black eyes, and a fair complexion. He appeared cold and gave her a cool expression, his name was Eden.

"Is anyone else here with you?" Eden asked, detecting a different scent in the room.

"Nope! I don't know anyone here, why?" Kyra asked, raising her eyebrows.

"Oh," Eden turned his head away coldly, ignoring her.

Kyra found his behavior strange, but she didn't pay much attention to him because her focus was on the little guy.

Seeing her attention on him, Toma blushed. "Female, I brought some food for you. You must be hungry, right?" Her heart melted at how adorable he was.

"You're so caring, little guy! Thank you," Kyra crouched down to his level, kissed his cheeks, and took the food plate from him, walking back she put it down on the table and walked back toward Toma.

"Then, will you consider me as your mate?" Toma asked, looking at her with his big green eyes.

"Sure," Kyra replied, laughing as Toma blushed furiously.

However, they didn't notice that Eden's expression had changed behind them. He wondered why this female wasn't paying attention to him. When he started imitating the cold and cool attitude of those powerful beastmen, and it worked. The females of their feral snake group chased after him and even wanted to conquer him. He was very happy about it, but he showed no interest in them. Deep down, he was happy to see the females fighting over him and his friends giving him jealous looks.

And now, when he saw this female, he also wanted to attract her attention by acting cold and cool.

Who knows this female wasn't even paying attention to him. She even promised the bastard to be her mate. Sure enough, this little bastard was the same as the big bastard, his brother.

"Toma, you've already given her the food. Let's go, it's your bedtime," Eden said, trying to make his voice as cold and magnetic as possible.

Upon hearing him, Toma and Kyra frowned.

"No, I want to talk to the female," Toma pouted.

"Little guy, my name is Kyra," Kyra said, bending down, squishing his chubby soft cheeks, seeing him pouting cutely.

"Kyra!" he softly exclaimed, looking at her with his big green eyes.

Eden's expression grew even worse. Why weren't they listening to him? His face became colder.

He didn't realize that big blue eyes were watching him from behind the bed headrest, his ears perking up as he glared back.

Lucas didn't like the way that beastman was staring at Kyra and the little snake cub. He felt hatred the first time he saw his disgusting face.
