Chapter 39 - Chapter 39 Eleventh

Eden furrowed his brow and said, "Toma, let's go. Your brother must be waiting for you." Toma nodded in agreement.

"Sure thing," he replied, then turned to her. "Kyra, I'll play with you tomorrow, okay?"

Kyra smiled warmly. "I'll be waiting," she said, watching as they both headed downstairs. Once they were out of sight, she closed her door.

Suddenly, she felt arms wrap around her from behind. She stiffened as she felt his breath on her neck. "Don't talk to that guy again. I don't like him," he murmured.

"Why?" Kyra turned to face him, raising her eyebrows as she walked towards the table where their food was.

"Don't ask. I wanted to punch his ugly face when I saw him," Lucas said, plopping down on the bed and leaning back with his hands supporting him.

"Let's forget about him and eat something. You must be hungry," Kyra suggested, sitting beside him with the food plate.

"You eat. It's yours. I can't take food meant for females," he said, turning his face away.

"Lucas," Kyra called, but he didn't respond.

Feeling helpless, Kyra said, "If you don't eat, I won't either." Hearing this, Lucas turned his head towards her.

"Okay, let's eat together," she said, pointing to the food. There were neatly cut fruit slices and two large pieces of toasted meat.

"I'm thirsty," Lucas said, grabbing the jug from the bedside table, filling a glass, and drinking. They both started eating in silence.

"How did you manage to anger that snake?" Kyra asked suddenly, breaking the silence.

Lucas paused, mid-bite, and with wide eyes, replied, "I honestly don't remember. And that snake even beat me."

"Hmm... he even tried to kill me," Kyra spoke, making Lucas' eyes widen in anger.

"Damn! He had the nerve to Kill you... and I was foolish enough to try to befriend him," Lucas said, frustration evident in his tone.

"He kidnapped you, and you still wanted to be friends with him? You're out of your mind, Lucas," Kyra said, shaking her head as she took a bite of mango.

"Now I know I don't want to become his friend. God, please don't let you have any mates like him in the future," Lucas said unconsciously.

"More Mates?" Kyra asked, her voice low, knowing that women in this world often have multiple partners and are okay with it.

She wasn't sure if she could handle having multiple husbands and living with them all. But she didn't want to dwell on it, not when her mind was consumed with thoughts of Lucas.

"Yeah, there might be others... but I'll always be the main one, and they'll have to meet certain conditions to join us... Oh wait, Kyra, will you accept me as your mate?" Lucas leaned closer, his eyes searching hers.

"Why do you need to ask when you already think of yourself as mine?" Kyra replied, biting her lip and smiling.

Lucas' face lit up with a wide grin, his heart soaring with joy.

"But what about your original world?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I'm not sure. All I know is, I just want to be with you, Lucas," Kyra replied, her words filled with sincerity.

Both looked into each other's eyes, love blooming inside their hearts. Kyra had only Lucas in her eyes.

Will she have room in her heart for those who are destined to shake up her world in the days to come?

Especially, a seed of love took root in Vincent's heart, a seed born from the soil of hatred. Who can say? Maybe the deeper the hatred, the more fertile the ground for love to bloom in unexpected ways.

In one of the suspicious rooms on the ground floor of the castle, a woman lay. She had dark, piercing black eyes and short green hair, wearing leopard print clothes. She spoke.

"A new female, my foot! That Monica was a pain in my ass, and now who is this new female?" she said, kicking one of her males who was rubbing her leg, causing him to fall to the floor. He lowered his eyes, hiding his sad emotions.

"Who is she anyway? She needs to leave here and go back where she came from, or else I don't mind killing her personally," she spoke again, her eyes flashing with strange emotions.

"But Emma, females are precious. You can't kill them," one of her mate spoke, shivering as he looked at her. Her eyes were even more venomous than their poison.

Emma didn't answer him but pointed her long fingers at him.

"Females are precious, but not males. Kill him," she spat as she leaned on the bed, and a breathtakingly hot man came toward her, starting to kiss her, his hand holding her face as she looked at him with lust in her eyes.

Behind them, a painful scream should be heard with crying, blood spread on the floor as other males of her looked everything without emotions.

However, no one noticed the male she kicked on the floor clenched his fist.

Dark emotions appeared on his face as he looked down at his fingers muttering to himself, "eleventh".
