"Let me cut it for you," he offered, taking the mango into his hands. With his sharp nails, he made neat slices, the fruit glistening in the morning light. "It might be a little sticky; let me wash it." He quickly rinsed the slices in the nearby river, then returned, ready to serve.
He wasted no time sprinkling the chili-salt mixture over it, offering it to her with a teasing grin. "Trust me, you'll love it," Oceanus said, his confidence making her smile.
