When Damon leaned in, Kyra tensed, ready to push him away, but he surprised her by smiling and gently brushing snow from her shoulder.
"Thanks," Kyra said softly, feeling a bit embarrassed for misinterpreting his intentions.
As Damon dusted the snow from Kyra's shoulder, his touch lingered for a moment longer than necessary. His eyes held a glint of amusement, as if he knew exactly what she had been thinking.
"You're welcome, Little thing." Damon replied casually, stepping back slightly to give her space.
Afterwards, Damon cooked food for them, and they sat near the fireplace in chairs.
"Are you really leaving?" Kyra asked.
"Of course, I need to go find your mates. Can you give me your spirit necklace?" he asked.
"Spirit necklace?" Kyra looked at him in confusion as she held up the blood-red necklace on her neck given by Vincent. "Are you talking about this?"
"Yeah," he replied, eyeing the pretty necklace.
