"Don't cry, Kyra. I can't bear to see you cry like this. That snake was crazy... shh, my baby. You're so sweet; how dare he ignore you," Lucas said, hugging her tightly as she put her head on his chest, wetting his clothes with her tears.
He kissed her forehead tenderly.
"Why wasn't he talking to me? I didn't do anything wrong! I was just a little careless. Why he stopped talking to me?" Kyra cried.
Lucas patted her back, holding her like he was cradling a baby.
His heart ached seeing her tear-filled face, red cheeks, hazy eyes, and her tight grip on his shoulder.
She started shivering.
"I-ii *Hiccup* Lucas..." Kyra tried to speak, but she started hiccuping.
Lucas pushed her face more against his chest, feeling her cry even more.
