Before Robert and the Hell Demon had fully started their war, various forces in America had already become anxious. After several nuclear-level extraordinary incidents, they were only able to arrive at the scenes afterward. But this time, they watched everything happen with their own eyes.
After all, the attention drawn by Elsie Simmons and Tony Stark, especially when Tony Stark was suspected dead, had already caused many to covet Stark Industries, given Tony Stark's lack of an heir.
But soon, everyone's focus shifted away from Tony Stark, not just because he had reappeared, but due to the terrifying explosion. No country wanted to see a nuclear-level explosion threat on their territory, leading almost all official forces to convene and discuss countermeasures.
The situation at the scene was now unclear to anyone, and nobody dared to check it out. Suicide squads were still preparing, and the American military was once again enacting forced volunteerism, but they were still far from understanding the battle situation.
"Should we drop a nuclear bomb there? Preferably a bigger yield one, to kill those two monsters once and for all!" someone suggested, labeling Robert and the Hell Demon as monsters.
"Have you lost your mind? A larger yield bomb when the main city area has already been half destroyed? Do you want to annihilate your own country?" someone immediately objected, as launching nuclear bombs, especially on one's own territory, was not a simple decision.
If this were happening in another country, America would not hesitate to launch a nuclear strike to cleanse the area. But this was happening on their own soil; launching a nuclear bomb at home was unthinkable due to the risk of nuclear contamination. They could not simply separate their nation into upper and lower realms; they still needed to... rely on their voters.
"Destroy it, then. Destruction is better than these two threats!" someone insisted.
"What about your extraordinary methods? Weren't you all funding research into them? Now's the time to use them. Why are you silent now? Especially you, Nick Fury. You were always the most eager when it came to funding. Why silent now?" the World Security Council soon turned their attention to a silent Nick Fury.
"Because I don't know what to do!" Nick Fury bluntly said, "It wasn't just me asking for funding. Everyone was, but no one has any solutions. Why single me out?"
"The strongest weapon SHIELD can produce is at most nuclear-level, and it's not easier to deploy than launching a nuclear bomb, just a matter of science versus the extraordinary. I suppose other organizations are in a similar situation?"
"The military indeed has a weapon comparable to a nuclear bomb, but it's complicated to deploy and consumes a lot," a military representative said. "Of course, if the decision passes by vote, using this weapon is not impossible..."
"But can we actually hit them with this weapon? Given the Saiyan's displayed flight speed, our weapon wouldn't even hit the ground before he dodges. And that human who turned into a demon, releasing nuclear-level power while remaining stationary, can our weapon really hurt him?" someone from the Illuminati shrugged, expressing doubt.
"Are we just going to watch?" someone angrily said, "If you all have trump cards, then bring them out. What's the use of hiding them?"
"The Saiyan might not lose. After all, there were traces of his intervention in the previous extraordinary nuclear explosions," Police Chief Blake said softly.
"Then tell me, who exactly is the Saiyan, and what's his real identity? Didn't you interact with him before? Don't say you don't know!" the previous speaker scoffed, mockingly looking at Police Chief Blake.
"I really don't know. I asked my good friend Jackie Chan for help, but he's back in China now. If you dare, go ask him there. Just be careful; you might not make it back..." Police Chief Blake responded with a shrug, not caring much. He even hinted that Jackie Chan was receiving official attention and training, so any approach should be low-key.
"You!" the previous speaker was angry but was quickly interrupted by someone else.
"Enough, Blake, don't pretend you didn't understand us. The demon is a threat, and so is the Saiyan. We must find a way to deal with them while they're fighting!" a new speaker said, his eyes flashing coldly.
"I vote against it," Police Chief Blake closed his eyes, too tired to argue further. He even suspected Hydra members among them but had no evidence and chose to ignore it, knowing his opinion wouldn't change anything. The consensus was to eliminate the Saiyan and the demon together.
These official personnel were unwilling to see individuals like the Saiyan and demon, who were beyond their control, appear in their nation, including so-called supermen.
"Let's each contribute and monitor the battlefield, finding the right moment to act. Let's vote!" someone quickly made a decision. After the majority voted in favor, deploying weapons against Robert and the Hell Demon became a done deal.
However, as soon as this decision was confirmed, the news was quietly leaked by more than one person.
"Someone plans to use nuclear-level weapons on the Saiyan!" Tony Stark just started speaking when Steve Rogers also looked at him gravely, having received the same news.
"Humph! These people are still so ridiculous. They haven't dealt with the demon yet, and they're already targeting their own. What do we do now?" Tony Stark took a deep breath and asked Steve.
"Eighty-seven percent approval. Even if I stand up, it's useless," Steve shook his head and looked at Tony, "There's only one way left. Can you withstand the pressure?"
"Damn! After all, it comes down to me. But it's also true; we can't let them steal all the spotlight!" Tony's lips curled into a slight smile as he commanded, "Jarvis, give me a completely encrypted channel, prepare for the onslaught from all systems. If necessary, let their systems go haywire first. I remember, this nation doesn't have many official systems that didn't buy from me, right?"
"So, Iron Man will play the role of the top commentator for a bit, and snatch some spotlight back. Do you think Superman will come out?"
"If things get big, he'll definitely see it. Otherwise, he couldn't have saved so many victims worldwide!" Steve said confidently, "I'll have London help you intercept fully!"
"Sir, there's news from Gotham. The Saiyan is fighting a demon that released nuclear-level destructive power. They've decided to kill both the Saiyan and the demon with nuclear-level power. What should we do?" Meanwhile, in Gotham, Alfred hesitated as he asked Batman.
"No rush, let's see how things go with Robert first," Batman said quietly, "We can't change a decision that's already been voted on, and such measures might not work against him. Besides, if things really escalate, who knows, he might come out to mediate?"
Batman recalled the images of fighting Robert in the dark space, realizing the full extent of Robert's destructive power when he went all out. Before, Robert had been holding back.
"Hmph!" Earlier than Tony Stark and others received the message, Clark had already heard about the officials' decision. He vanished from his spot, appearing outside Earth, basking in the sunlight, quietly gathering strength, watching over every potential launch site for the so-called ultimate weapon from space.
Clark knew that such ultimate weapons likely posed no threat to Robert, who could easily dodge them, but that wasn't an excuse for inaction on his part.
Moreover, if Robert indeed dodged them, and the area became subject to multiple nuclear-level forces, it would no longer exist.
While those officials were plotting against Robert and the Hell Demon, the battle between them had already begun. However, the start of this battle wasn't favorable for Robert.
Although Robert managed to evade the Hell Demon's initial powerful attack, he still suffered some injuries. Thus, Robert planned to wait a bit to fight the Hell Demon in peak condition.
What Robert hadn't expected was that the Hell Demon's domain could expand outward. If this expansion continued, it would give the Hell Demon a significant home field advantage. From one city to two, from one state to a country, the Hell Demon would become invincible.
Therefore, Robert had no choice but to enter the Hell Demon's domain for battle. It was a trap Robert couldn't avoid.
But Robert wasn't too concerned. After all, he had almost entered the hell dimension to battle the Hell Demon before; this was just a delay.
With a loud "Boom!" within the Hell Demon's domain, Robert and the Hell Demon collided. Robert was sent flying backward, but he quickly threw two energy discs, cutting through the Hell Demon's body. The demon's blood spilled on the ground, strengthening the surrounding domain.
The energy discs, after slicing through the Hell Demon, only left cracks on the ground instead of cutting it open, as if the domain had made the area much more durable than the rest of Earth.
"This actually eases my mind a bit!" Robert noticed this and his eyes brightened. Although not as independent as the dark space, this allowed Robert to unleash his destructive power against the Hell Demon.
"Whoosh!"
"Whoosh!"
"Whoosh!"
With a thought, Robert reintroduced the Prince's Battle Tactics, but with a twist. He mixed countless energy discs into the tactic. Even through the dust, the Hell Demon's blood could be seen staining the ground.
This battle was recorded and globally broadcasted by Tony Stark's armor, complete with Tony's exaggerated and humorous commentary.
In Tony's commentary, Robert was portrayed as a warrior protecting Earth, a superhero like himself, a comrade, while the opponent was naturally depicted as a demon from hell seeking to conquer Earth.
Tony wanted to convey that being a superhero was not easy. They often face life-or-death battles out of public view, silently protecting Earth and humanity. Yet, some despicable politicians would target them, seeking to harm them!
As a renowned superhero and top idol, Tony knew how to set the narrative, especially against those politicians, because many people liked to hear about it...
As for Tony's actions, those who had just decided to deploy ultimate weapons against Robert and the Hell Demon were shocked. They urgently ordered the broadcast to be cut off, but to no avail, as the forces attempting to disrupt the broadcast were not the only ones; there were also those guarding and disrupting the official powers.
"Damn it! Issue a warning to Tony Stark!" an official commanded, "Tell him to shut down the broadcast immediately, or else..."
"Or else their political donations will disappear?" someone mocked dismissively.
Tony Stark was one of America's top capitalists and financiers, meaning many officials depended on his support. A minor disagreement behind the scenes was one thing, but openly warning him? Were they prepared for bankruptcy?
"Roar!" As the officials were at a loss about how to handle Tony Stark, the Hell Demon let out a roar, followed by a triumphant voice, "Finally, I've stabilized this domain. I should thank you for making me bleed so much. As a reward, you'll see my true form..."
