Hearing Robert's words, Kara rolled her eyes attractively, wondering if that could even be the same thing. However, she quickly thought of something else, her brows slightly furrowed as she spoke to Robert, "Robert, you've missed quite a few classes. Selina told me your situation is a bit troubling. If this continues, I'm afraid you won't be able to graduate, let alone go to college..."
"Go to college?" Robert, who spent his class time meditating, had never considered college. He always felt it was a distant dream for him.
Before his first transmigration, Robert was a typical teenager. College students, in his eyes, were no different from adults. After transmigrating to the Dragon Ball world, school became irrelevant to him.
The only thing related to school in the Dragon Ball world was becoming a scholar, which meant neglecting his great talent and fighting power. His strength continually regressed to the point where he had to rely on last-minute cheats to keep up with the likes of Son Gohan.
Therefore, he could barely accept attending school now, given that he hadn't aged a bit, but once he became an adult, college seemed unnecessary for a Saiyan...
"Don't you plan to go to college?" Kara asked hesitantly, feeling conflicted. After all, Missouri and Kansas had good schools, but they were still a bit behind the top institutions. If Kara wanted to attend those top universities, she'd have to travel far...
Even though distance wasn't much of an issue for Kara, she still felt uneasy about the idea, especially if Robert wouldn't be attending college with her.
"There's really no need for me to go to college. If I need to earn money in the future, I can join eating contests, or buy more land to cultivate. It would also be good for my training. But attending school takes up too much time, and I worry it might weaken my fighting strength. After all, in training, if you don't move forward, you fall behind..." Robert pondered for a moment and nodded, thinking of Kakarot holding a tractor and Gohan wearing glasses.
Actually, although Robert never studied at school, handling exams was no trouble. Whether it was using his mental powers to peek at Kara's or someone else's paper, or telepathically finding answers, there was no issue. But he felt it unnecessary; college wasn't essential for him.
"Oh, I see..." Kara muttered, her mood slightly dampened.
"Barry Allen and Lorna's grades are good, right? If you're worried about being alone, you can plan to attend the same university!" Robert scratched his head and softly comforted Kara, noticing her gloom.
"How can they compare to you?" Kara's mood lifted slightly at Robert's words but she still looked dissatisfied.
"They are indeed much weaker!" Robert nodded matter-of-factly and curiously added, "I wonder how their strength has developed. Have they made any progress...? Huh? If they have improved, doesn't that indirectly mean Peter Parker's strength has regressed?"
For a moment, Robert felt sympathy for Peter Parker, who had missed the opportunity to gain superpowers from the spell and now seemed to be falling behind.
"I'm talking about college with you!" Kara reminded Robert, slightly annoyed at the topic change.
"There's still more than a year left, right? Why the rush? If you want to train with me later, you can come back anytime. You're so fast..." Robert looked at Kara, puzzled.
"Fine, let's talk about it in a year!" Kara glared at Robert and eventually gave in under his puzzled gaze. She thought Robert might not have matured yet and could change after growing up. After all, she had grown a bit in the past few years while Robert's appearance hadn't changed, probably due to his race's characteristics suppressing his perception in this area...
Yes, that must be it. Kara decided not to dwell on the college issue for now. She went to prepare some food for Robert, as he must be hungry after his injuries and the battle...
Elsewhere, Clark went on a date with Lana as a regular person. Initially, there were no issues, as usual, places tend to be trouble-free. However, a bar is a different environment. Lana saw a bar on the street and suggested they celebrate their day together with a couple of drinks.
So, they entered the bar. Although the environment was noisy, it didn't affect their tender glances at each other, as they had just entered the honeymoon phase of their relationship.
However, as a waitress brought their drinks and started to return to the bar, a patron at the table behind Clark slapped the waitress's buttocks.
The bar went silent for a moment at the "slap" sound, drawing everyone's attention and causing the waitress to cry out in shock, trying to escape.
The drunk, clearly intoxicated and getting carried away, became more excited seeing everyone's gaze. He stood up, attempting to grab the waitress and continue his advances, but then a robust figure blocked his way.
"Enough, stop causing trouble!" Clark said coolly, his mood somewhat spoiled by the date interruption. He planned to take Lana elsewhere, but not before stopping the drunk from further harassing the waitress.
"Yo, playing the hero? Kid, you're out with your girl and still dare to play hero? Don't overestimate yourself!" The drunk, unfazed by Clark's imposing stature, mocked him, unaware of Clark's unbothered demeanor. Angered, he tried to push Clark to the ground.
With a "thud", a figure stumbled backwards, knocking over a table. However, it wasn't Clark, but the unruly drunk.
Although Clark didn't fight back, it was clear that force is mutual. The drunk's attempt to push Clark not only failed but backfired, causing him to fall and almost hit the ground.
"Damn it!" The drunk was furious, no longer caring about who was at fault. He just wanted to get back at Clark.
With a "snap", the drunk smashed a beer bottle and charged at Clark, shouting. The waitress screamed, but the bottle never hit Clark. Instead, he grabbed the drunk's arm, preventing him from moving, and took the bottle, placing it on a nearby table.
"Let go of me, damn it!" The drunk struggled, hitting Clark, a futile effort against the unflappable hero.
"Why are you all just watching?" The drunk looked at his friends, angrily shouting for support.
"Sorry, but please let him go. We'll take care of him..." His friends frowned, standing up but not attacking Clark, realizing he might be a tough opponent. Their sober minds recognized the situation's seriousness.
"Take care of him and don't let him cause more trouble." Clark released the drunk, advising them indifferently.
"We're outnumbered, why fear him?" The drunk, pulled back by his friends, was still dissatisfied.
"We may have numbers, but we're not in the right. It's one thing to cause a small disturbance, but actual fighting is another matter..." His friends glanced at the tall and calm Clark, advising the drunk with wisdom beyond their inebriation.
"Let's go, we'll find another place." Clark glanced at the drunk and softly suggested to Lana.
"Yeah, we shouldn't have come here. Let's find another place." Lana agreed, not expecting such a situation. If she hadn't been so level-headed, her newly acquired superpowers might have driven her to teach the drunk a lesson.
"Sorry for the trouble. Today's bill is on me!" The waitress looked at Lana and Clark with a hint of regret, then whispered to Clark.
Heroic deeds often left deep impressions on girls, especially given Clark's handsome appearance, which naturally attracted the waitress's affection.
However, after seeing Lana, the waitress didn't attempt to leave any contact details, just expressing her gratitude to Clark.
"No need, you're not to blame." Clark declined, paying the bill and advising, "Be more careful, but his friends should handle him..."
"Heh, looks like another one has fallen for you, just like I did back then!" Lana teased Clark as they left, her voice low with jest, "She was pretty, weren't you tempted?"
"If I fell so easily, would you have waited this long? Besides, I save so many people daily. If I fell for each one, how many times would my heart flutter..." Clark affectionately nudged Lana's nose.
"Hmph! So you admit you made me wait long!" Lana retorted, somewhat annoyed.
"Sorry... Huh?" Clark was about to soothe Lana with sweet words when he suddenly frowned, instinctively shielding her.
With a "smack", a beer bottle hit Clark, soaking him but causing no harm.
Clark could have easily dodged the bottle, but showing off too much ability wasn't ideal, so he took the hit, ensuring not a drop spilled on Lana.
"Ah! Sorry, let me clean that up!" The waitress, fearful, looked towards the drunk and offered a towel to Clark.
"I'll do it." Lana took the towel, smiled at the waitress, and began wiping the beer off Clark.
"What are you looking at? Come hit me if you dare!" The drunk, held back by his friends, continued to provoke Clark.
"Let's go." Clark gave the drunk a deep look and softly led Lana out of the bar, noticing a large truck parked not far from the door.
"To be honest, I'm a bit angry." Clark smiled at Lana, who looked slightly bewildered. He then rushed towards the truck, surprising Lana with his unexpected side...
