Running over a burning house, while dodging the occasional wind slash and chasing the elusive Kagura, Asahiko leaps onto another roof at the same time as she opens her fan.
"Moon Form:Crescent Moon!"
"Blade dance!"
Asahiko's flaming slashes are crushed and quickly overpowered by the attacks coming from Kagura, though this doesn't seem to matter much to Asahiko who moves to another rooftop, before launching her technique again.
Christopher/Asahiko pov.
The villagers have been totally evacuated according to what Shippo and Kagome have told me, making it easier to fight without having to avoid hurting the odd person. Of course this didn't totally improve my position in the fight, Kagura's ability to escape my blows is amazing.... It's literally wind and this can be felt in the rhythm of the battle.
"It's unnecessary for us to keep fighting. It's a waste of energy for both of us and neither of us gains anything from this situation."
His words were absolutely rational, the battle is going nowhere and this stalemate is only wasting both of our time. That's what I would say if I were in my rational mode, but since I'm not... Let the world burn.".
"Um~ um~ very well said... Cloudy Fang!"
Grabbing Clouded Fang's hilt in a movement that seems extremely slow, but what at the same time is astonishingly fast. I raise it above my head with my right hand and begin to power it with a never before used amount of energy.
The blade is covered with reddish energy in a few moments, after a few seconds it begins to overflow into the surroundings and in a few moments I begin to hear a certain voice coming from Clouded Fang. The voice seems to roar in the distance, but each time it seems to get closer "Go".... "ha"... "Kuryu"... The phrase seemed to be right on the tip of my tongue, so close, so close.
"GOKURYU"
"Stop Asahiko!"
Biting my own tongue as I feel Saya's words and noticing the clear influence of Cloudy Fang on my actions, I stop with all my willpower my words, before launching this cumulus of energy forward.
*Boooooom*
The first thing that could be heard was the roar of the wind caused by the incomplete technique, it was as if a hurricane was advancing at full power, with the sole purpose of destroying everything in its path and that was what the technique did. Trees were uprooted, houses crumbled like a house of cards, earth was crushed, entire boulders were crushed and this trail of destruction stretched up to 250 meters in a straight line, with a width of about 20 meters.
"Ha... Wh, what, what was that? No more important, it's where Kagura is."
"That young girl's disappearance is not important, it's even basically impossible for her to use the surrounding air to attack, after the Gokuryuuha's energy permeates the surroundings"
"No,that's not important. You almost used the Gokuryuuha! Do you even know how dangerous that technique can be?"
It was unnecessary for me to explain, I may be a rather carefree person, not to say totally carefree and with a very low interest in people I have no contact with, but this technique is....
[Amazing isn't it? Look at the power I can bring you, no, the power we can wield if we work together. Nothing and no one could resist us in the whole world, you just have to give me even more...]
Before I can continue speaking in a strange cloying voice, I place it back into the scabbard and watch it twist for a few seconds, until there is no more movement from Clouded Fang.
"Clouded Fang was talking to you?"
"Yes, something about how amazing his technique is and how we can rule over everything if we work together."
"We need to get you a new sword fast, we can't let Cloudy Fang keep gaining power and influence over your thoughts."
"It's not that bad, it's just that in this situation I might over feed her and maybe let my guard down a bit against her... What's that smell?"
It was similar to smelling something that you know must be tasty, but for some strange reason gives you a feeling of disgust. It was very difficult to explain the sudden situation that caught my sense of smell, but Saya, who has been around these parts for quite a while, quickly extended an explanation to me.
"It's the blood of a Hanyō... But this particular smell - quick, something must have happened to Inuyasha!"
"Let 's go!"
Without hesitating for a second upon seeing the seriousness with which he speaks to me, I extended Cloudy Fang for Saya to enter the sheath and quickly head towards the place in question. After a few seconds of fast forwarding, we meet Kirara who is carrying Kagome and Shippo on her back, we only nod to each other before moving forward.
After a few moments, we reach an area of the village that is in an unpleasant state. All the structures have been torn down, the few that are still standing appear to have been pierced by a body multiple times and the surroundings are littered with traces of blood.
"Look over there. Is that Steel Fang?"
"Miroku, you think that fool Inuyasha would drop his sword."
"No, Shippo, Miroku is right. That is Inuyasha's sword and it appears to be broken."
With Kagome's response to the little tanuki, my attention is also drawn to the remains of Steel Fang and oh god what have they done to it. The sword is literally broken in two and its transformation has been reversed, leaving only a broken as well as worn out ancient sword.
*Groan*
A bestial growl makes its way through the wreckage of one of the houses, as the smell of blood in the surrounding area seems to thicken and my senses begin to vibrate slightly.
Emerging from the wreckage is Inuyasha, although he now has a strange aura about him. Perhaps it is because his eyes are now red, with the exception of his iris which is green. Though it could also be because of the amount of blood his body is bathed in, the blue stripes just like Sesshōmaru's that magically appeared on his cheeks or all the demonic energy around him.
"Inuyasha!"
*grunts*
"Miss Kagome, it would be best not to attract his attention without knowing what's going on here."
"It's Inuyasha Miroku, he won't hurt us. Inuhsvw"
Wrapping one of my tails around Kagome and shushing her all at once, he pulled her close to me, before slowly speaking.
"It seems to me that friendship won't help in this situation~ maybe love can~ although unfortunately we don't have Kikyo... Hahaha you should see your face. Now seriously, Saya, what's going on here?"
"If you're done playing... They're pretty much the same, cof, cof. When we give out Inu no Taisho's swords to his children, we put different effects on them. Sacred Fang can't be cut and Iron Fang serves as a seal to the yokai blood flowing in Inuyasha's veins."
Squeezing Kagome with one of my tails under Miroku's envious gaze, she listens carefully to the story Saya narrates and I slowly begin to understand what that is in front of her.
"So with the broken sword, will Inuyasha stay like that forever?"
"Not at all, Inuyasha will have transformed because of the danger to his life... That's just a part of him and he can't control it forever. Asahiko takes care of it."
"Wait, what?"
"We can't let him off the hook until he calms down naturally, then you'll have to beat him until he passes out."
I've wanted to punch the idiot for quite some time, but punching him in this irrational way even counts... Well existential doubts later and more punching now.
