The afternoon sun still continued to bring light and comfort to all the people under its embrace, while our two heroes had just finished reaching an area near Inuyasha's.
The area was a small forest slightly thick and well lit, at the end of it you can see a plain, while further away you can see a village that seems to be in full activity. At the edge of the forest and before the plain begins, a ramshackle but functional hut can be seen.
"You should take advantage of Inuyasha being alone in there. You don't want to run into everyone...after what you did to them~"
Speaking quietly as she leans against the tallest tree nearby, Asahiko strokes her chin and beckons Kikyo with her eyes, for her to take action.
Sitting on another branch of the same tree and looking carefully towards the lone hut, Kikyo looks towards Asahiko as if she wants to reproach something she said, though in the end she simply extends her hand causing multiple shikigami to emerge from inside her sleeve.
"Now, you seriously think that."
"Here it comes."
"No offense but... Do you have something to attract demons? Naraku, Inuyasha... no, maybe it's only with half-demons?"
Swaying sideways as he perches on the branch, Asahiko removes his hand from his chin, before looking at Kikyo steadily and after a few seconds he affirms to himself, as if he has come to a great truth.
Finishing his appreciation of Kikyo and thinking that he can certainly understand those two, Asahiko turns his face to look at the desperate Inuyasha who can barely move forward. Wearing only the lower part of his red costume, being bandaged all over his chest and using his sword as a makeshift staff. Inuyasha the half-demon stumbles forward as he is guided by Kikyo's shikigami towards this direction.
"Well~ here I leave you~ the third wheel is leaving~"
Stretching out the words longer than necessary and putting on a smile of someone who has found something interesting, Asahiko makes his fan appear from somewhere, before sharply swinging it and with that a mass of energy in the surroundings seems to vibrate, then disappear.
"A barrier... It seems he had noticed it too. You've come to Inuyasha."
"Ki, Ki. Why, Kikyo!"
Christopher/Asahiko pov.
From behind me Inuyasha's piercing scream can be heard, if I had a say I'd say it tastes like a spoonful of disappointment, another spoonful of anger and a very small spoonful of well hidden spite. Forgetting that stupidity, I increase the energy I'm using to hide and in a few minutes at a slow pace I manage to reach my target.
Keeping herself hidden behind a tree and seeming to be sweating profusely despite her attempt to keep an expressionless face, she managed to spot a beautiful fair-skinned young woman wearing a colorful kimono who is currently attracting my interest. Looking at her more accurately, she has long pointed ears classic of pure demons, intense red eyes, long black hair tied by a ponytail with a feather ornament and within her attire I can recognize the unique shape of a fan.
"Perhaps it's you~ Ho?"
*Booooom!!!!!
OK, it was idiotic to get that close to her and I admit it, but I must say in my defense that she smells just like that stalker. Yes, Naraku, the certified stalker and the one I'm now being shot at the nearby trees for.
*Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom*
Going through a few trees with your own body isn't the most beautiful thing, the only good thing was that my beautiful tails subconsciously protected me and thanks to me suppressing my senses, the pain will never come for me.
"Seriously, you hit me and ran away... Moon shape:Crescent gibbous."
Expelling the trees that had remained on my body, thanks to my powerful and beautiful tails. I see how the black-haired demon is flying on a giant feather and slowly gaining distance from the place. Of course I wasn't going to let it end like that, it would be very anticlimactic, while I was thinking that and with a simple flick of my wrist I threw about twenty-five crimson colored crescents.
*Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom*.
Obviously being an attack without any preparation or buildup of energy, this one stood out for its lack of precision and destructive power. But it was more than enough for her to go on the defensive and in those few seconds she uses to counter attacks, I had already reached her position.
"Lunar form:Crescent gibbous."
A much broader and more concentrated attack came from my fan, its intense red color radiated a raw sense of danger, although the opposite of what I expected happened. My flames did not burn her, nor did they reach her, it was beautiful, her counterattack almost like a dance. The wind breezes did not counter my flames, but guided them in a deadly dance and for every twist plus the odd turn, my flames increased in deadly potency.
"Shit!"
*Booooom!!!!
A huge wave of flames hit me directly and within moments I was on the ground. The only good thing about all this is that my resistance to fire is super high or maybe it's just to my flames... well that's unimportant now.
"Can you give me a hand?"
"That's something I can do."
Feeling that the black-haired demon has left, I speak aloud towards no particular direction, but in a few moments Miroku's voice answers my call. After a few moments of silence, slowly a shadow covers my face and suddenly a piece of metal hits me squarely on the head.
"Wow what a metal hand you have."
"What can I say, I exercise regularly. Now take my staff so I can get you out from under there."
Firmly grasping Miroku's staff and feeling the force he applies from the other side, I try to move my body which is embedded in the ground, which he finally succeeded after a few minutes.
