"While he is moving towards the chamber, Shuchi is in great shock. She just observed a phenomenon that she thought she would not witness in this realm, something that she understood does not happen until you climb to the 9th realm, as nobody has developed enough potential to call out the God's will through the altar. She does not know which God's will pulled him in and blessed him, but she believed it would have been some minor god as no one on the 14th realm can get a high God's will to act. She observed his soul traveling to a separate realm and coming back.
This is actually one of the primary purposes of the altar, which allows the God's will to act freely and bless individuals worthy of their attention. The altar has the wills of all gods from the realms, including the ones that live in their own dimensions. This arrangement was made so that they could bless a candidate's souls and increase their potential, ultimately giving them an edge over other candidates. It does seem like cheating and favoritism, but they are gods; they make their own rules. So the ones complaining just have to suck it up.
The Administrators make sure that God's don't interfere in the trials and are restrained from giving them huge gifts that could tip the balance in favor of their candidates. This arrangement was agreed upon by the gods and enforced by admins to keep the balance while climbing the train. Shuchi's thinking about a minor god blessing someone might have been correct regarding the god's identity if it was any other candidate; god's will that Raghu invoked was one of the highest-level gods existing in this realm. She would have been shook for a lifetime if she found out who had just blessed this man.
All this happened in no less than 5 seconds, but for Raghu, it might have been hours. The others might not notice, but she did. She is now slightly interested in finding out, but the rules that bind the gods also bind her. They can't interfere unless it's a matter of realm; they are just there to supervise and integrate them into the system.
Meanwhile, Raghu has already entered the chambers and is observing a small room full of white marble flooring which has another solution and a manual placed on an ancient-looking wooden circular table placed at the west corner of the room. There is a golden reddish flame lighting up the room as there is a goblet placed at the center of the table which looks even more ancient than the table.
The rest of the room is empty, so he walks up to the table and opens the manual labeled "Introduction to Prana, A beginner's Guide to Connect to Your Element by Nina J Simons" to read the instructions. He reads it carefully as it says, "Take the solution and pour it into the flame, then sit down in a meditative pose, relax the mind and try visualizing absorbing and assimilating the energy within yourself. Observe your body energy connecting to the energy and the mist surrounding you. Breathe, relax, and repeat this process. Make sure you follow the breathing technique properly. Don't panic when the energy enters your body. Relax and let it connect you with your traits, elements and prana. Feel the power flowing and let your instincts guide you." There were many more things written with precise instructions on breathing techniques as well as the postures to be followed.
Taking the bottle which had a translucent color solution, he poured the solution into the goblet, sat down at one corner of the room. After some time, the solution started having an effect on the surroundings as the flame started to emit heavy smoke and the whole room is now filled with smoke generated from the solution. Raghu found it interesting that even though it looked like smoke it wasn't suffocating in any way, it has a very subtle way of easing one's mind; he feels relaxed, so he follows the same technique to the letter, finding it quite easy to comprehend.
Raghu starts meditating and tries to follow the way Nina seems to have directed him. He feels like the mist is now settling in and around his body, and he needs to absorb the mist particles through his skin tissues and guide it to his head towards the point between his eyes as directed in the manual. But his instincts are warning him that this is not the correct way.
That is when his Tattoo of the Jackal reacts and burns a little; the pain is bearable, but it is pulling the energy of the surrounding towards itself. Raghu is shocked a little as he had not noticed the tattoo before. He knew the goddess had gifted him the jackal, which would be his lifelong companion going forward. He can feel the tattoo coming to life as he feels a connection forming between him and the Raakt in his mind.
As the time passes, all the energy gathered around in the room is taken in by Raakt himself. The process lasts for about 30 minutes as Raghu is simply observing the process, trying to understand the energy. After a while, the tattoo lights up as he sees an image of an infant Jackal projected in his mind, and it thanks him in its childish voice, which Raghu finds quite adorable, but he can't tell the gender yet. Thinking to worry about it later, he observes that he is receiving another form of energy from it.
Observing what has happened, his soul animal had just taken in the energy present in the room, utilized it for growth and also returned him energy that he could utilize. This is a really effective way, he thought, as this allowed him access to more purified energy and he can feel the potency of this energy is much higher than the energy of the room. But he feels the conversion rate is a little low. For comparison, he thought of energy absorption to energy received to be in the ratio of 10:3. It would usually be time-consuming to absorb the energy in the surroundings as it requires him to meditate for long hours. But his companion doing it for him will reduce his stress as he only has to worry about the later parts.
The book had precise instructions for utilizing this energy to strengthen himself. He followed the same procedure as it worked for this as well, which made him quite happy. But he feels he will need to come up with a better way to allow better absorption and assimilation of this energy. Maybe they have a better manual in the server which he may be able to buy later. As this given here is only a beginner version, there must be better techniques.
He continued absorbing the energy and tried to assimilate in his body. He can observe his body cells continuously being reinforced and there is a layer of red, black and tints of violet-colored energies coating various parts of bodies. This is when he feels the need to understand his elements. He can only work on them when he knows about them. He can tell the Red is fire element and black is Death element but the violet energy is not something he can comprehend now. So he decides to work on the known elements for now.
As he is busy understanding his element, outside at the platform, everyone now has had a chance to sit at the altar and get their respective vials. As Shuchi saw the last one entering the chambers for self-realizing their elements and to connect their traits. Now that her work is done here, she looks at her halo watch, presses some buttons on the display on it, types a message and sends it to someone. She knows that there are still 2 days for the train to arrive at the platform and it will take the candidates that much time to assimilate as well. She waves her hands, opening a portal and enters it, vanishing from the spot."
