After a while, the first batch gets out with a dejected look on their faces. The next group goes in only to come out with dejected faces as well. This continues for the next batches as there are only a few faces that seem happy at the end of the puzzle round. Nathan had expected as much as the logical puzzle given to them was for the 1st level of intermediate level. There was no way a novice could have solved it. There are always a few who have higher intellect or have a higher capacity to solve logical riddles that are usually able to crack the intermediate level as well. He wanted to filter them here.
Nathan allows everyone to gather round. He is looking at a crowd that is thoroughly demotivated and dejected. He waves hands and everyone receives a pair of potions; he tells them that these are healing potions and vitality potions that will ease their mental and physical stress.
With everyone back to health, he points at the projected board where their names along with their points are mentioned. He then waves his hands again, and their watches light up as they can see what grade they were and what their evaluations are. It also points out their weaknesses and tells them their improvement areas; this is something Nathan gives to people he lets participate in his trials as a reward as well.
He believes there are no bad candidates; they can always improve. As that is the least he can do to help them in their quest forward irrespective of him hiring them or not. They look at him with glittery eyes as he announces the winners of the event and hands them their respective winnings. He observes that everyone looks at him with respect in their eyes, and with that he has also achieved his second objective, that is to increase their trust for CNC.
He looks at the rest of them and then speak out looking at everyone present, I promised a contract from CNC , don't worry I didn't forget about it, the concerned person will receive it in time. You guys are not aware of your levels, you will receive them once you board the train. The train scans you for level as you enter, people with the level allowed are only allowed to enter the that compartment. The rules are pretty strict as the train doesn't allow people with higher level to enter the level of compartment they have already crossed. They cannot come back or influence it in any way. Believe me when I say this as people have tried it and have paid a heavy price for it, So no one dared to try it after that.
Well a few tips for all you present here and some general information that you may find useful, know that once you cross a compartment after clearing the challenges, you will be given two choices, one is to continue the challenge and move to 13th compartment and second is you get a token to get down at the next station. The token you have will allow you to board the train next time the train arrives on that same station. You are already aware that you can board the train from that station only where you got down last time.
There is another choice when you decide not to go up any further and choose to give up. Then you get another token, are allowed to get down at the next station without attempting the next challenge. But remember this if you use that option, after getting down if you want to try again, you will now have to get the token from the station you got down before by coming early and participating in a contest by CNC. Only ones that are worthy will be given the token to try again.
Just to remind you again of the danger associated, I advise you to not attempt a challenge you feel is above you level , if you get killed there, not even your soul will be spared as you will be eternally bound to train ,So make your choices well and think before attempting any thing. As for the people who only want a short break and want to run some errands while still wanting to climb, the train usually waits about 72 hours at each station.
You can utilize your token to go out , and come back in before the train leaves. If you miss it, then you will have to wait for it to come back . After completing the whole route, it usually takes about 6 months to complete one circuit, So you won't loose out on too much of time.
With these things been said he tapped a few more on the console he had, there was visible movement from the station as staircase appeared at the 13th and 14th compartment as it connected with the steps from the train .
The people gulped as the time for truth had come. Some of them have waited their while life for this moment. As promised, the lady and the guy that won the test along with few other who one the puzzle were allowed to enter the 13 th compartment first. The rest of the people will enter from the 14th along with Raghu and other's.
Raghu is observing at the end of the line watching people enter the train one by one, they only have to step near the steps of the train, there is a blue light that shines over them and the guy vanishes. But the stairs only have space for 10 people at a time and he sees it will be a while it to get in. After about 15 minutes he starts to reach the front and starts climbing the stairs to reach the train. He is quite nervous about this but doesn't let it show and he keeps telling himself he got this, he will find his mother, with that determination he steps on the last 4 steps where a blue light covers him and he vanishes from the spot.
Nathan here is observing all the people moving towards the train, with most of them gone and the last batch about to enter he looks at his watch , the train clock shows 00:05:10 left for departure. He has completed all the things in time as he looks at the halo watch again types some messages and takes out his console again.
As the last guy enters the train, Nathan has already made the changes to the station, as the station will now turn invisible and return to default mode. The stations are not visible all the time as they appear only 10 days prior to the arrival of trains. The halo watch will only show the location of station after the station has become visible. Even CNC only knows the general location of the station and not the exact coordinates as they are controlled by administrators and they only have some controls that are provided to them by admins.
