Tony Stark briskly walked into the room, his eyes scanning the faces of the three people present. He ignored the man directly, seemed unimpressed by the maid, and automatically focused on Daisy sitting in the middle.
Appearing quite elegant, Stark adjusted his suit and extended his hand towards Daisy, saying, "Miss Johnson, a pleasure to meet you."
Daisy felt as if an exclamation mark had popped up on her forehead. This guy exuded a certain vibe from head to toe—showing off! Like a peacock desperately flaunting itself. She wished she could send a shockwave to send him flying.
Considering various aspects, Daisy reluctantly shook hands with him. Compared to the poised Pepper and the intelligent Obadiah, Tony Stark now seemed like a bastard, a lecherous one at that.
His mind seemed to be occupied solely with machines and women.
Perhaps to assert his authority, Stark immediately began bombarding them with questions as soon as he took his seat, and Daisy patiently dealt with him.
"Data analysis? Seems rather low-tech. Your information processing capabilities are quite primitive. If it were up to me..." He had no concept of tact and respect, choosing science over women. He abandoned any attempts to please Daisy and belittled the data analysis method in front of them to nothing.
Daisy inwardly chuckled. Stark looked down on data analysis just because of the presence of the artificial intelligence Jarvis? What's so great!
As Tony Stark continued his grandiose talk, the others lost interest in the conversation. Fortunately, the time wasn't long, and the data analysis was eventually completed.
The results surprised Daisy. The current place that could help Stark Industries expand its economic footprint was unexpectedly Afghanistan.
Did this guy go to Afghanistan to sell missiles because of my data analysis? Daisy found it hard to believe. Initially, she thought she was a participant in the plot, but now it seemed more like she was the plot designer.
"Have you been ignoring the Afghanistan region? Have you never sold anything there before?" Daisy asked tentatively.
"Our focus has always been on the American continent and Africa. Trading volume in the Asian market has been minimal," Obadiah spoke vaguely. Daisy suspected there were hidden details internally, but these had nothing to do with her.
Pointing to the data analysis, she said, "According to my algorithm, the local conflict is escalating. The U.S. military has already retracted its defense lines to major cities, and tribal forces urgently need missiles, a weapon that can decisively turn the tide of war."
"With the increasing intensity of local conflicts, it's not just missiles; they need everything related to war, such as radar, rifles, armored vehicles. This region will provide a continuous source of profit for Stark Industries," she concluded. The life and death of the Afghan people had nothing to do with her.
Obadiah applauded her analysis. It was objective, and it subtly aligned with some of his thoughts. Speaking through an outsider just fulfilled his wish.
Without waiting for Tony to speak, Obadiah made a decision, "Stark Industries will pay Skylar Data Analytics Company $1.5 million annually to join our advisory board, and for this consultation, we can offer a reward of $300,000."
Tony Stark was a bit dissatisfied. What's so impressive about a simple data analysis? He could do it in minutes. However, considering Obadiah's face, he didn't voice his opposition. Anyway, it was just over a million dollars.
With the business matters concluded the small company couldn't match the giant Stark Industries in hosting a banquet. They shook hands and bid farewell, each returning to their respective places.
As Tony Stark casually asked Daisy if she was interested in having dinner together before leaving, she immediately refused without much thought. The other party just shrugged, seemingly unbothered.
The first encounter between Daisy and Tony Stark had officially ended, and it could be said that both sides were left with bad impressions.
Back at her company, the group held a small meeting.
With their growing reputation, the big data model slowly took the stage, and those interested had already started studying algorithms based on their model.
Daisy instructed James to adjust the company's main business direction, relinquishing a large market share and focusing on the medical field, leveraging their early advantage.
As long as they could provide the best medical advice, patients wouldn't mind spending a little more money, considering that life was priceless.
"Recruitment! Now that we have money, the company's development needs to accelerate, and we must take it to the next level." Daisy concluded her remarks, eyeing the others to see if there was anything else.
James cleared his throat, "A capital investment firm contacted me earlier, asking about the investment."
"Which investment firm?" Daisy asked.
James pulled up his records, "Ekana Capital Management Agency, headquartered in the northeastern United States. It's an investment firm focused on genetic engineering, new media, and nanotechnology, and they have substantial funds."
Daisy thought for a moment, her expression a bit weird. She remembered this investment firm. Back when she first crossed over, she gathered information about Hydra, and Ekana Capital and Typhon Group were important organizations associated with Hydra.
In her memory, both partners of Ekana Capital were S.H.I.E.L.D. agents on the surface. Now that she had entered S.H.I.E.L.D., she had undoubtedly disrupted their plans.
The nature of incorporating an unknown small company is completely different from that of incorporating a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. These guys are still hiding in the dark and will not expose themselves for this benefit.
"They didn't contact you again afterward, did they?"
"No."
"Alright, I got it. If there's nothing else, let's adjourn the meeting."
With the New York matter settled, and after enjoying a well-prepared dinner by the maid, she headed straight back to S.H.I.E.L.D.
A 500-word report appeared on Nick Fury's desk half an hour later.
October weather, is still somewhat hot even in Washington. The air conditioning in the room was on full blast. Even if he was sitting in his office wearing a leather jacket, Nick Fury didn't feel the heat!
He read the report from start to finish twice. Daisy devalued Stark to nothing.
Sharp, vulgar, lecherous, lacking team spirit, obsessed with reputation – Daisy's words conveyed a clear message: this guy is scum. If he meets with trouble, we shouldn't bother rescuing him! Let him die!
Nick Fury, of course, wouldn't blindly believe her one-sided account, but considering the information S.H.I.E.L.D. had gathered from various sources, Daisy's report seemed reasonably objective.
He signed it, filed it away, and began dealing with the next matter.
The next issue at hand was the three female students. All three showed great potential, but deciding how to use them required some careful consideration.
He needed to gather opinions from elite agents as a reference. To prevent his subordinates from linking up, he conducted video interviews one by one on a secure channel.
