Back at the academy, The Olive guard and everyone else watched as everyone started walking toward them in confusion. Leon's retainers are at the front and Violet's aura seem to continue to simmer from the remnant power of that dance.
"The Purification dance is amazing." Boris whispered.
"Indeed, Amaryllis's description of it doesn't show it justice."
"The Saintess saved us!" One civilian shouted gratefully.
Looking around, it seems that the spell wasn't the only thing that was purified. The barriers are all gone. Violet purified the Academy's entire security system.
Alabaster stared at the direction of the stone hall. If she erased the security system, does that mean...
Oh no
He quickly grabbed Boris's shoulder and the two of them escaped while no one was watching. The perceptive Violet is the only one that noticed but despite not knowing them, she felt a sense of deja vu.
"What is wrong with you?" Boris asked.
"The labyrinth. We need to check out the labyrinth."
Alabaster is worried because the only thing that could keep the creeping crystal entity inside might be accidentally purified.
"The labyrinth?" Boris repeated. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go now!"
Both of them ran to the Stone Hall where the entrance is located. It has been years since Amy last teleported there, so the checkpoint has expired.

Leon wasn't worried about himself even without the use of his powers. He may be dependent on it when it comes to imitating magic, but his fighting skills are still quite top notch evident by the bodies he left on the ground. He spared as many as he could with intentions of interrogating them.
Part of him is pleased when they underestimate him especially when they all group up to ambush him, expecting to see a weak defenseless kid. Oh, destroying that confidence is delicious.
He almost pretends not to notice that they are armed with defensive weapons like batons and not a single sword much less any other kinds of dangerous weapons are in sight. It seems that they intend to keep him trapped and alive. He thought that this is the place they intend to kill him, but it seems there is another intention.
What a pain. He thought while tying them down and looked up to see someone approaching them.
The aura is familiar but it's different somewhat and it landed on the ground hard, leaving behind a crater and harsh winds. Leon remained unfazed while everyone else, at least the ones that are still conscious, tried to escape but their movement is restricted.
"You really like to make a dramatic entrance and yet you tell me to stop."
Rufus had a roguish smile on his face. He seems to be in a good mood. Then he noticed a girl behind him. She is pale, thin and tall but she looks sickly. That dress isn't leaving much to the imagination. She is basically a walking skeleton. Judging by her lack of awareness and listlessness, she became one of Rufus's puppets. Leon isn't new to the inhumane nature of Rufus's powers; however, this is the first time he used it on a human being. What made him want this person?
"A lot has happened while I was away." Rufus marveled seeing that Leon is not only safe but still beating up people even without his ability.
"I should say the same thing to you." Leon replied with an impressed look. "Care to help me out?"
Now that's out of the way, he is going to pay a visit to someone.

Everything seems to calm down. The barrier that blocked people from coming inside has dissolved and the queen has brought reinforcements. For the first time, Boris could see an expression of motherly love that one has for their child. Even Leon was genuinely surprised by this unexpected sight.
Boris could see that Sabina finally shed her disguise and is close to collapsing but is supported by Nathaniel. Violet is quite amazing as she appears as tired but still standing on her two feet while everyone praises her heavily for saving everyone.
As for Rufus, he brought the culprits to the Olive guard, and they took care of the situation here on out. Most are unrecognizable but the ones that aren't, are all students. His eyes widened upon noticing Selim as one of them. He knew Selim attacked them, but he never wanted them dead. There is something fishy about this, but this is something that Amaryllis has to deal with.
As for Alabaster, he sighed in relief upon noticing that the seal to the Labyrinth is still intact. He quietly hid away from everyone and teleported away from the area and back into the crowd.
"It's secured." he said.
"Oh, what a relief!" The porky doctor said.
"The seal is either much stronger than I thought, or it didn't reach underground." Alabaster marveled.
"The magic is ancient. Ancient magic, that still exist in the modern age, should be powerful right?" Boris asked.
"Ancient isn't synonymous with power. To be honest, I'm actually surprised that it's still intact at all."
"You should go. This matter is finally over. The two of us can finally go back to what we should be doing." Boris said.
"Indeed," Alabaster agreed and the two took off.

Amy sat back and watched through their point of view. There are two things that hasn't been settled. The ringleader and the motive. Amy is in an inconvenient situation where she cannot go and investigate herself, but Alabaster's future knowledge did give her some context.
Seeing Selim made her falter a bit. From Alabaster's knowledge, everyone was put to death for attempted assassination on the prince. She knew what she is doing when she took no action. All this is necessary even before she knew future knowledge of events. Without any of this, no one would be prepared for the Cambion's arrival. She was sure that she is willing to sacrifice lives to ensure that Aron is born and the Cambion is dead. But how much is she willing to keep that up? She promised herself she wouldn't get overly attached and it worked for a good bit. Not anymore. Selim is a pawn to this whole scheme. She needs to see him, talk to him but she is uncertain if she could save him.
