"Ugh," Amy woke up with a massive headache. She immediately felt something wrong upon waking up. Her feet feel colder than the rest of her body. She pulled up the covers and after feeling her feet, it felt freshly washed and scented.
Instinctually, she looked out the window and saw the flowers are in full bloom. That was the biggest shock of the day. It is still winter. How the hell are flowers in full bloom, unfrozen, and filled with so much magic? After staring heavily at the flowers for an unknown period of time, the door opened to Boris and Sally who brought in more items. Sally looks squeamishly excited while Boris looks apprehensive.
"Miss! You are finally awake! I never knew you were such a good dancer! It was so beautiful! When you started sleepwalking outside, we were all worried but you conjured such beautiful magic."
Amy stared at her blankly, comprehending what happened. "Oh shit," she mumbled under her breath.
"I'll bring your breakfast." Sally says cheerfully before leaving the room.
After a slight pause, she turned to Boris who began organizing a few things, "What the fuck happened?"
"You have never been sleepwalking before. You started walking out the door and everyone followed you and made sure that you wouldn't get hurt. No one wanted to wake you up either because I told them not to. Then, you started dancing for two minutes. You used magic to undo the frost, warm the air and made flowers bloom during your dance. None of the servants saw magic like that up close before. They see you as majestic to be honest."
Amy felt her palms get sweaty, "I was dancing?"
"Quite beautifully. I have never seen it. You never told me you were such a good dancer."
"I'm not. I never danced in my old life nor do I have any sort of skill in it. This is Violet. I dreamt of her last night or rather... I dreamt that I was her, dancing, on a dancing path."
Boris looks confused. "That is no dream I have ever seen. We have seen your dreams and vision but we have never seen this one before."
"It might be Violet's memories seeping in. I had my suspicions now but what if Violet is here? Like she is in my body as a separate identity or if she is a spirit that wishes for her body back?"
"That's not gonna happen."
Puzzled, she stared at Violet who was standing next to Boris.
Judging by Boris's expression, he does not see Violet talking to her.
"Are you not gonna talk to me?" Violet asks before her voice started to change, "It's me." Amy felt a sudden chill as she can finally hear it. As a cruel prank, the Violet hallucination began to talk in a very familiar voice.
"What do you want?" Amy answered after ignoring the Violet hallucination for several months now. Boris is confused but seems to understand not to question it.
"It's been far too long. This is a gift. There will be no more nightmares or hallucinations after this."
"What is with the Violet hallucination? I know this is your doing."
The deity now taking Violet's appearance smiled. "I did but everyone wanted to know how you'll react to it. Frankly, quite boring. But believe it or not. Everything she has done is all in your head. You were afraid, not of her but of yourself."
"I am more afraid of the life I made here will vanish. I thought I made my peace with the idea that this world isn't mine though I fear it disappearing on a whim."
"I kept my word and you are certainly not taking advantage of your blessings here. This world has everything you don't have if not lost in your old life. You are quite indecisive on which side to choose"
Amy didn't answer and gave a glare at Violet.
"Are you gonna torment me with her?"
"You won't see her anymore if that is what you wish. But I do admit that taking her shape has rather made quite the scare in you. I might do it more often."
If she were honest, she loathes the fact that a god is pulling the strings here and that she couldn't even threaten the god, let alone take any action against it. She is even more afraid that if she tries then everything will cease to exist. The consequences outweigh any possible benefits so rather than try to 'take advantage of her blessing', she would cement her plans. That damn god could choose to cure her if it would speed up the process but didn't and even taunt her by looking like Violet. Despite knowing that Violet is a pitiful person, despite knowing that she also took her body, she is glad she didn't look like her and she has somewhat dislike her character even before becoming her. It is not a matter of jealousy but rather that girl's weakness, a trait in which she has been trying to purge since the beginning of her new life.
"Am I really gonna be cured in a few days?"
"That dancing is to show you something. Violet may be extremely weak-minded but she has something you don't. We look forward to what she could've become." The hallucination looked out the window and Amy followed.
The amount of colors are overwhelming and the staff are now trimming them. They are chatting happily amongst each other.
"In the story, you know what she is like. Her character in the Story of Aron has its own positive moments. Her magic is innately potent as her dancing is enough to make flowers grow. She is a joyful character. You always see the bad in people first before the good."
She can't deny it. "Are you trying to teach me some sort of lesson here?"
"No," it replied, "Just food for thought. You suffered through this trial long enough."
Amy watched as the hallucination of Violet disappeared.
"It's the deity. It's gone. It took the shape of Violet. He says I will be fully cured soon." She said with a slightly solemn look.
Boris looked confused yet joyful, "It hasn't been a full year yet but..." he looks reluctant after seeing her expression, "What's wrong?"
Amy closed her eyes shut for a bit. The migraine is still there but the idea of not having this anymore seems to dull the pain a bit.
Looking back, she does see the bad more than the good in people. With Rufus, she admires his intelligence but looks down on him for his character, Sabina and Salvador are the same and she still has thoughts of killing them if they remain the same as their story self. The thing is that they are villains. Reforming the White siblings are one thing but that isn't possible for all of them. She even has similar thoughts on the ones who are not villains. Not everyone she has met is a good person after all. She has basically made Alabaster and Boris brain dead before she reformed them to her side and took away their free will. Thinking back to her experience in her original life, she was strict towards herself than on others. She was also apprehensive of them for good reason. Life is harsh so she has to get with the times or else she would be unprepared and lost. She had regrets but the memory behind that is unknown but she knew that she cannot change the past. When she reached into her new life, she didn't take advantage of it, rather decided to make preparation for an unchanged future, changing the future when it meets her own goals rather than for the well-being of everyone.
When she got shot, she knew her world isn't as safe as she had initially imagined. She probably lived in a world where she expected constant dangers, this is why she is like this.
"It can't be helped." she murmured.
Then the door opened to Sally with breakfast. Grandpa Ole must be feeling sleepy again if he hasn't come visit her. Since he is growing older with more health problems, he sleeps in more often.
As the breakfast table is set up, she had thoughts of visiting him soon.
