Weeks later, Amy was in the library chatting with Selim.
After confirming that her past self has teleported, she took her place and resume the life she left behind. No one noticed any changes or anything out of the ordinary. Even Viola with her sharp senses couldn't tell the difference.
It is great to be back and out of hiding. Everything is back to normal now. The first thing she did was create a cannon to shoot out confetti from scrap metal much to Viola's shock and confusion.
Alabaster and Selim have been especially helpful in her latest research. He seems to be quite certain on finding a succubus who would help her in her endeavor.
In exchange to his faith, she will do her best to figure out a way to give the succubus what she wants in order to get her to cooperate with them. If memory serves her right, Nana reveals that she hates being a succubus who depend on the wellbeing of humans to live.
Pitiful.
"I have a question. If I were to change the physiology of a being to a human, can that be done?" She asked.
Selim looks taken aback by such a question.
"Well... There are such theories, yes. For barbarians, their diet consists of near raw meats, and anything that can be foraged in the forest. As such, they are resistant to most toxins than regular humans. Studies show that during their slavery, they were given inappropriate diets as they are unable to consume gluten and most foods considered normal to us. But those that survive develop a tolerance to our diet so in a sense, it is possible."
Amy shook her head. This isn't the answer she is looking for.
"What I mean is to change a monster's physiology to be like that of a human."
He expressed complete shock over this.
"I mean, it's not impossible but they are much vastly different than us in many ways to the point that it can't be done. They have many toxins and organs that we don't have. For example, orcs are exclusively carnivores. They cannot consume anything but meat and they are known to practice cannibalism. It is considered impossible for them to change their diet."
Amy cannot be sure of that. Yes, Orcs depend only on meat and cannot consume plants as the enzymes in their stomachs cannot handle it. But a succubus is different, they weren't originally required to consume semen. If possible, their condition can be reversed.

Alabaster is chilling in her room while being watched suspiciously by Ramiro. He gets decent food and clothes from Amy while he is busy writing down information for Amy while he leaves. The school year ends in less than a month so he will leave by the time doors open up for everyone to leave.
She had also prepared supplies for him including every useful magical item that money could buy as well as modern equipment needed for travel. There is one thing that stood out to him. There is a small box filled with small rune-carved orbs, the size of marbles. He can read them but he has no idea what to expect from them except that they are used whenever he is in trouble. Life is so complicating and hard to adjust since he lost his magic. At least, he still has other reliable skills to protect himself with.

"Ryllis!!"
She glared in the direction of the sound, knowing where it is coming from.
Leon rushed over with Theseus and Rufus with a bright smile.
"C'mon, the exams are over. You shouldn't be in the library. Have some fun."
Amy silently glared at him not wanting to be disturbed.
"Violet is also searching for you. The end of year party is starting soon." Theseus says excitedly.
Her expression softened upon seeing her friend's happy expression.
"Alright," she got off her seat and grabbed the books in her arms to put away, "Let's go, Selim."
In disbelief and nervous by being near Solin's prince, he babbled a few words of greeting before following her with the rest of the books.
Amy and the others head to the grand hall where everyone is enjoying themselves. Amy felt like a small piece of worry is gone. The smiling faces of her friends, classmates and family made her feel at peace for the first time in months.
At least that should be the feeling.
That isn't true at all. This makes her anxious. Almost to the point of tears.
For too long, she has been living a life of another person; Violet. She could be living all of this and she as a fake is living her life. Just because her appearance and personality is different doesn't mean that this isn't her body.
She truly loved the bonds she created; her parents, her sister and her friends including Alina. She is so attached to this world that she meddled in affairs that she didn't need to for the sake of others. She felt like she belonged here. She wanted that so badly. Despite all the things she did, she did it with partial excuse that it was for the sake of the future but other than just doing it for herself, she did it to cement her place here. If she were truly Violet then she would at least belong here even if it were the past, if she had her original memories then perhaps she would know where her place truly is but she isn't. She has no memories of her original life to piece together who she is and she knows that she is truly not the owner of this body but manipulates it and her fate at the orders of the gods who only wish to change the story.
Her time in the past has made her realize something. This world isn't real. She knew it from the beginning, but she pushed that reality to the back of her mind. She is only on a mission to make sure that the story changes with her as the only variable. This world is created for the entertainment of the gods who can change anything out of a whim. She could be swiped away if she is considered boring to them and wake up in her old life and forget about this one just as quickly. Walking, breathing, and interacting with these fictional characters leaves a dark taste in her mouth; a harsh reminder that she will never see any of this again.
It will disappear like a dream.
Whatever she aspires to do or expects from this world of a lie doesn't matter anymore.
It is time to wake up.
Yes, this is how it should be.
Now everything is truly back to normal.
