Amaryllis, nicknamed Amy, is sitting on her chair while reading a book. It has been five years since she was born and as expected, she forgot everything in the past due to infantile amnesia. The only recollection she has is that she has more access to Violet's purification ability and her original Construction and Deconstruction ability which she kept secret.
She has been secretly practicing it with only one accidental casualty; a squirrel, who just so happened to get in her way. The details are explicit and hard to make out with her young brain and one she would have prefer not to remember. Truthfully, she would like to experiment this ability more but moral and ethics aside, it leaves a mess so she has let it slide.
In addition to her abilities, she has been studying diligently to the point of becoming a full-time scholar at five years old. Her parents like to brag that she said her first words and learns how to write her name before she turned two years old and reading advanced texts at her age. Because they are doting, loving parents, she feels that even if she told them that she is much older mentally, they wouldn't believe it.
"Amy!!" She then turn to see Viola peeks inside of the room before entering it with a playful smile. She has laurel green hair and emerald green eyes. "Mother is here to pick us up. Let's go!" She then dragged her by the arm.
"Viola, don't pull too hard." She quickly holds on to her book as her twin takes her away from the room.
In the beginning, her sister, Violet, nicknamed Viola, was born with dark indigo hair and green eyes and she, herself, was born with green hair and violet eyes. As they grew older though, they lost their baby hair and now they look different which baffled everyone especially Amaryllis. Violet in the story has green hair and violet eyes and even she was also born that way but now things changed. Amaryllis now has Indigo hair and violet eyes while her sister got the laurel hair and green eyes. After their looks started to change, she had an identity crisis for a few months. But then realized that this is the other gift the god was talking about. In addition to a new set of powers, she and her sister get a new look that isn't like Violet even though she is still the same Violet in the story. To tell the truth, she likes her current look better. To have green hair as a natural color is quite off to her. Also, with her little sister having the same name as the one in the story, she began calling her Viola so she wouldn't get them mixed up.
There are a few interesting things to say about Viola. While Amy has been secretly practicing her purification ability, Viola prances around with hers, taking every opportunity to show them off. It is of no surprise. In the Story of Aron, twins sharing the same power is common. Viola has the same purification ability as hers and was confirmed to be the first out of the twins to have the stronger ability while Amy was believed to be weaker. The reason is because she doesn't think there is any merit in showing off especially at such a young age but she doesn't stop her sister especially as she is gifted in her own way.
As she grew older, she also had more context on the world she is in that the story didn't entirely cover.
In the story, there are five kingdoms in the Grand continent which is the largest continent in the world. In total, they are known as the Western Kingdoms to the rest of the world. The kingdom she resides in is called Solin. This Kingdom is one of the more liberal out of the others due to not having discrimination regardless of race, gender and affiliation. It is because of that, this kingdom is very prosperous and popular with an incredibly large population compared to the other Kingdoms.
Then there is Karnei, Getel, Hekaton and Damat. Two of these countries are hostile to certain races and individuals while one of them is at least dubious about it.
As for her family, she is a part of the House of Anthos; an elite family with all its blood related members all named after plants. Amaryllis's father is currently the Deputy Minister of Agriculture. But he is not the head of the house. Her grandfather; Count Linden is. Other than her father, Rowan, she had two uncles who are sharing the duties of administering their territory while her own father stays out of the spotlight. Then comes her own great-grandfather; Lord Oleander. He is the former lord and her godfather and currently the eldest member of the Anthos family. Since she became his goddaughter including the fact that she is his biological great-granddaughter, he gave her whatever she asks. Most of the time, she asks to study and she grew up with an advanced education at this point.
When they reach the door, they see their mother waiting for them.
"Are you ready to go home?"
"Yes,"
Amaryllis got in the carriage and while it took off, she noticed an unfamiliar presence walking along with the carriage's pace but is unsure what it was.
"Mother, is there someone here?" Amaryllis asked. "There is some strange presence I don't recognize."
"You felt that?" She says in astonishment. "Your father bought a slave from one of the barbarian tribes from the borders of Getel and Damat. He found her quite pitiful."
"A slave? But slavery is illegal here." Viola said.
"It is, my dear. But that doesn't stop bad people from buying them in this country. Your father is a good man. This particular slave is a high ranking member of White Wolf tribe. If she dies here, there will be an international crisis. He wanted to send her back home as soon as possible."
Wait? White wolf? Amaryllis looks out to check on the slave and she sees a young girl who barely looks older than ten years old walking lethargically. She has messy ash grey hair and bronze skin. But the one thing she notices is that stone beads that thinly wrap in her hair. She looked at her in astonishment.
Father has a sharp eye. Those beads are worn by the children of the chief.
That seems like Alina of the White wolf tribe. She seems to be the right age too. She is the future matriarch who would unite the barbarian tribes but she ignored Rufus being a literal danger and in fact allied with him under false pretenses. Rufus also used the tribe and add them to his army. Alina is one of the villains who held a personal grudge against all the five kingdoms and one of the few prominent villains with excellent morals and whose death was in vain.
Amaryllis can't help but feel excited. She sees an opportunity to get her to her side. In the story, it is unknown who bought her but she is stronger than she'd seem. Her mother is right. If Alina dies in Solin then the barbarian tribes will go against them first and despite their small numbers compared to an imperial army, they are extremely formidable. She mentally thanked her father for this. She will change the story one small step at a time but now her first big step is to recruit Alina to her side.
