"Wouldn't it be troublesome to move around the train if it's three of us?"
Harry nodded in response.
"It would be yes. But we don't need to move around the train."
"Oh you guys are in for a treat", snickered Ron. Hermione eyed him but didn't say anything. Harry smiled and lifted his hand up to his chest level and spread out his magical energy throughout the train, searching for the toad. He could feel and see all the other students in their compartments laughing and talking merrily.
"Ah there you are! Your toad is actually in the drivers compartment Neville", Harry smiled.
"Thank you so much! I was loosing my mind thinking it would have jumped off the train", Neville said while shaking Harry's hand vigorously.
"How did you do that?", Hermione asked curiously. "Did you do magic? But you didn't have you wand. How did you find the toad? Do you know underage magic is dangerous? What would happen if you lost control of your magic?'
"Breathe Hermione", Harry chuckled as she ranted off her question at a breakneck speed.
"To answer your question as to how I did it, I just spread out my magical energy throughout the train looking for the toad. And I saw it in the drivers compartment. Nothing too complex"
"Yeah right! You and your really normal way of life", Ron said sarcastically.
Harry glared at him. He then stretched his hand out of the compartment, "Come here"
A moment later the toad floated into his hand, much to the other students surprise to see a floating toad. He then gave it to Neville after casting a small barrier box that will prevent the toad from escaping again. Neville took his toad and went to his compartment. Hermione was standing and looking at everything Harry did, with her mouth hanging wide open.
Harry took a mental note, he had Hermione at loss for words. Hermione, the most intelligent witch ever to be born(yeah this guy still doesn't know how many leagues above everyone, he is).
Harry reached out and closed her mouth for her. This caused Hermione to blush and earned Harry a glare from her.
"H-How did y-you do tha-t? You didn't use your w-wand", Hermione stammered.
Harry smiled, "Well I have never felt the need of wand to do magic to be honest. I do have a wand but it's kinda dangerous since no one exactly knows what it can do. So I went through the safer route."
"So you are capable of using wandless magic? How long have you been learning magic? I mean it's pretty advanced stuff. Even Aurors are not able to do wandless magic. How did you learn it? And what did you mean that using wandless magic is safer for you? Wands are the more safer mode aren't they?"
"This guy can do more than just wandless magic. He can apparate and disapparate at will", Ron added from the corner almost bored. Hermione now looks like a goldfish with big eyes, opening and closing her mouth not knowing what to do with that piece of news"
"Why don't you sit down Hermione? And thank you for that Ron, really helped the situation"
"What? I told them they were in for a treat!"
Harry sighed, he hated story telling mode. He looked at Hermione who was waiting for some answers.
"Well Hermione, you see I innately get magic. All those complex movement and incantations you have...I don't need them to do my magic. As long as I can clearly state my desire to my magical energy, it will do the rest of the work itself. For example...."
Harry picked up a bean for Bertie Botts Every Flavour Bean, "You see this? If for example I want to turn this into a watch, all I would have to do is want it to do exactly that". He looked at the bean, willing it to change into a watch. Both Ron and Hermione gaze were fixed at the bean in Harry's hand as they saw it.
A gentle ripple, like a quiver in the air, emanated from the bean. It was a subtle, ethereal dance of magic, too delicate for most to notice. The compartment's ambient light played on the surface of the bean, casting ephemeral reflections that seemed to follow the contours of the transformation taking place. Then, with a breathtaking grace, the bean underwent its enchanting rebirth. The transformation unfolded seamlessly, like the delicate petals of a blooming flower. A cascade of rose gold hues replaced the bean's original color of green, casting an otherworldly glow that painted the compartment in a warm light.
As if guided by an unseen hand, intricate engravings manifested on the surface of the emerging pocket watch. The detailing was exquisite, a tapestry of magical craftsmanship etched into the metal. Tiny gears materialized with each tick of magical precision, and a slender chain materialized, its links shimmering as though woven from strands of pure moonlight.
The pocket watch now rested in Harry's palm ticking away slowly. Harry had purposefully slowed down the transformation with his will, as he wanted them to see it.
Ron let out a whistle, Hermione's eyes were almost as big as saucers now. She looked from the pocket watch to Harry, refusing to believe what she just saw. How did Harry do that? They were both just going to Hogwarts for the first time. If he was already that advanced then it wasn't necessary for him to even attend Hogwarts. Ron on the other hand was amazed by the magic but he had long learned to stop thinking about Harry's abilities or otherwise he would not sleep for days. He started looking out the window while grabbing a chocolate frog.
Hermione wanted to say something but no words would come out her mouth. Harry chuckled at this, as he remembered Mrs. Weasley's reaction when she saw him apparate into her garden. He took a chocolate frog and handed it to Hermione with some Bubble brew. Hermione just took it and started eating, her eyes never leaving Harry's face.
Harry smiled. He has gotten the golden triangle together at last. Well Hermione is not very likely to stay away from him now that she has seen Harry's magic. She would pester him day and night to teach her everything, which Harry originally planned to anyway. Then a thought came to his mind, should he obliviate everyone and just go and finish off Voldemort first before coming back to them? Then he decided that it's just because he had spent last 15 years of his previous life without having someone who loved him, so most probably it's just because of that. After all, Harry did consider that once he learnt everything at school(like the Hogwarts wards and protections and not the actual courses) he would be able to protect everyone.
