Victor's face grows dark as he sees George kill the people for fun, splattering their blood and body everywhere. Victor concentrates on a spell compressing the energy as tight as possible, before George can harm another human Victor covers the distance between them in a single stride a pentagon appears on his hand.
"Malleus Pugnus."
George is sent flying backward from Victor's punch breaking poles and walls.
"Hahaha, that was quite the punch Bloodgrave. Unfortunately, it never killed me, so now I'm going to make you scream and beg as I cause a part of your body to explode."
George starts laughing maniacally. When he goes silent, he moves to attack Victor without warning. Victor watches carefully looking for a rhythm and starts dodging his attacks. With his attacks not landing, his rage is pushed even further, making him deadlier with each minute.
"I've got to find a way to stop George without harming others and getting myself killed. If I use a fraction of the power that I used in my battle with Shadow, I could possibly win."
"Easy there, Paladin, that would not be a good idea."
"Shadow?? What the hell, why are you only talking to me now?"
"Because you'll kill yourself using that power again, and this time, no one will save you."
"So what do you suggest I do?"
"Basics."
"Seriously? That's all you're telling me?"
"Of course, you need to think of things for yourself if you one day wish to take on the gods. I'm not going to spoon feed you."
Victor is left fuming and tries to understand what he meant by basics. George does not stop attacking, giving Victor no chance to think clearly. While avoiding his attacks, Victor tries his best to find a way out of this situation. He looks at George's feet and remembers back to where he was hunting buck. He gives a confident smile.
"Palus!"
The ground beneath George's feet begins to turn into deep mud, causing him to stumble and give Victor an opportunity to recover a breath. Finally realizing what Shadow meant, he casts all doubts aside and is focused on the fight at hand.
"Indurare."
The ground hardens trapping George and restricting his movements.
"Saxum Calcitrant."
Victor rushes passed and kicks him so hard his bottom jaw tears off from his face, spraying blood all over. His rage causes the ground to break, and he frees himself then charges towards Victor, his eye's blood red like a berserker. He is unable to speak, but Victor vaguely hears him saying;
"I'll kill you!"
Victor closes his eyes, knowing this will be George's last moments and begins casting spells.
"Glacies Carcere, Murus Terrae, Liquefactum Fluxus."
George gets trapped in a prison of ice followed by walls of earth around him. Trapped George notices a red glow coming from underneath, the temperature increasing fast. As the ice melts, steam forms, and the intensity increases from the earth's walls, ability to hold heat, and the lava just below the surface. He starts giving ear piercing screams as his flesh is melted and burned away by the steams heat.
Victor closes his eyes, but the agonizing screams still ring through his ears. When the screams stop, Victor dispells his magic, revealing the burned, half dead body of George, who is still driven by hatred. Victor slowly walks up to him, drawing his sword. He looks at George and tears well up in his eyes.
"I'm sorry, George, please forgive me. You may rest now."
"Mors Plaga."
He brings down his sword, chopping off George's head. He looks around at the carnage that unfolded before and during their battle, a bittersweet feeling washes over him. The students and teachers slowly make their way out of the building once most of the smoke has cleared. All of them wait to see who won the battle, as more smoke clears, they see a figure down on one knee over another figure. Their eye's widen with shock as Victor emerges from the smoke battered and bruised but alive carrying the head of the murderer.
They all start celebrating as Victor walks towards them. Some go to congratulate him but are ignored as he makes his way through the crowd. When one of the students grab his arm, they are met with a direct punch to the face from Victor. He walks up to the headmaster of the academy and drops the head by his feet. He looks at Victor, and Chills runs down his spine as he sees the lifeless, killer eye's Victor has.
"Don't bother me. I will return once I've recovered."
He walks into the woods and dissapers before everyone's eyes.
The headmaster regains his composure and starts issuing orders to the students and teachers to clear up the bodies and destruction caused by the event. Victor walks through the forest and finds a comfortable branch to lie on. When he is comfortable, tears flow from both eyes, and he lets out a spine chilling sob scream.
"Was there really no other way to save him? Did I do the right thing? "
All these questions begin to flood his thoughts until he feels a hard slap on his face. He looks up and sees his dad shaking his head.
"Care to explain what's with the sad face?"
The two look at each other with silence falling around them.
"Let's go somewhere more private, and you can tell me what's happened."
Victor stands up and follows his dad through the forest.
