Swords clash without rest as Victor and Greythan spar with each other. Victor is throwing all his sword art knowledge against Greythan, only to have each attack deflected or stopped.
"Had enough yet Benjamine?"
"As if, this is making want to land an attack on you more than ever."
"So long as you have that attitude with the sword, you will not grow. Allow me to demonstrate."
With a perfect form and stance, Greythan focuses his magic to the tip of his sword.
"Ferrum Venti Spirituum."
Then, faster than the eye can see, his sword cuts Victor's cheek. Victor counters but is hit with a second third and fourth cut. Unable to track Greythans' movements, Victor focuses his magic into the length of his blade and thrusts it into the ground, creating an intense shockwave.
"Ruptor Terrae."
Greythan is caught in the wave and goes crashing into the wall. Both struggle to get on their feet to carry on the fight.
"For a human, you are very interesting, Benjamine. I guess I don't have a choice, I'll have to use it."
"Heh. This should either kill me or break a few things."
Victor holds his sword up, ready to defend. Greythan focuses all his magic around himself in a bright green glow.
"Ventus Anima Percutiens"
As if alive, the wind surges towards Victor with a mind of its own. Victor senses that if he doesn't do something, this attack will kill him. His hand automatically lifts up, and the words he utters are not his own.
"Anglorum Custodia."
A massive explosion happens where Victor is standing. Greythan walks towards Victor, expecting him to be on death's door. When the smoke clears, Greythan stops in his tracks. A beautiful soothing light protects Victor with shields on all side's, his attack never even struck its target.
"Who is this human? How is he able to control low tier divine magic on this scale?"
The soothing light begins to fade.
"So... have I proven my worth enough to learn from your people?"
With a smile, Greythan nods his head.
"When the school year ends next week, I will take you to Greythanian. It's time you return to your dorm, I look forward to seeing you in a weeks time."
The two look at each other and smile before Victor turns around and walks to the exit. The butler approaches his master Greythan.
"Forgive me for saying so master Greythan, but there is something very dark and sinister residing in that boy. Do you really think it's a good idea to let him into the kingdom?"
"I understand your concern, Red, but he may be our only chance of surviving the coming war. Let's hope he doesn't catch on too soon. We might provoke the dark force residing in him. And then there's that divine tier magic he used. How is he able to use it, I wonder."
The last day of the school year comes around, and all the students are making plans for the holidays while Victor prepares to head to the elven kingdom of Greythanian with Prince Greythan.
"How long will it take us to reach Greythanian?"
"By horse, it will take two weeks if we were using horses."
Victor stands confused. Soon, he hears the sound of wings flapping and looks up to see a monstrous shadow decend towards him. It lands just an arms length away from him.
"What are these creatures? Are they birds or something else?"
"The elves call them Tacet Falco. They are commonly used for transport, trade, and communication between the kingdoms. Just a warning, they don't take kindly to humans."
Victor extends his hand towards the falcon, a bit scared, but to his surprise, the falcon doesn't try and bite him. It starts smelling his hand before bowing its head. Prince Greythan looks in disbelief.
"I have never seen them take that we'll to a human before. Just what kind of human are you?"
"The kind that shouldn't exist but does."
Victor says this while petting the falcons head. With gentle strokes and touches, the falcon sits on the ground. Greythan exchanges looks with Red and then asks Victor.
"She likes you. Would you like to try to fly with her?"
"I don't think that's a good idea, I have no experience with birds."
"She's already saddled. Just climb on and strap yourself up."
Victor carefully climbs into the saddle and straps himself in. The falcon stands up, and all three take off at the same time. Victor feels the wind against his face and closes his eye's, when he opens them again, they have arrived at Greythanian.
"Wow, it looks beautiful."
Welcome to the kingdom of Greythanian Benjamine Fellowing. Please enjoy your stay."
When they come in to land, a tall, beautiful elf woman with long shining black hair, defined features, and a body so slender and fair it would make goddesses jealous. She stands waiting with a crowd of others. They all gasped at the site of a human riding a Tacet Falco. Greythan jumps off the falco and bows to the elf lady before him.
"It is good to see you again, mother. May our great mother continue to watch over us."
"Is this the human boy you spoke of?"
"Yes, mother. Allow me to introduce Benjamine Fellowing, an acquaintance of mine I recently met and offered to teain him in our ways of the sword and magic. Benjamine, this is my mother, Swind Greythan."
Victor bows down.
"It is an honor to meet you, lady Greythan, may the earth mother forever shine upon your everlasting beauty."
His mother blushes lightly and tries to hide her smile. Everyone around them are left speechless, and Westwind looks at Victor in a state of confusion and shock. Victor just shrugs his shoulders.
"Very well, young Benjamine, you are permitted to stay and train with our people. I hope you enjoy your time here."
