Chapter 55 - Encyclopedia of Secret Medicines

While Welch and Sauron were conversing, hurried footsteps echoed from outside the hall.

"Sir Father!"

A man in gray-brown armor, tall and with an ordinary appearance, walked in, bowing to Welch.

"The Phosphorescent Fire Elephant has appeared again."

"This time, several serfs were burned to death. If we don't deal with it soon, East Lake Village will probably be destroyed by it!"

As he spoke, a grave expression appeared on the man's face.

"It's just a few dead serfs."

Welch remained unmoved, a hint of disgust on his face. He coldly said, "Look at how flustered you are. Where's the demeanor of a Knight!"

"I am entertaining guests. Whatever it is, we can discuss it tomorrow."

After saying this, Welch waved his hand, signaling the man to leave.

"But..."

A trace of unwillingness appeared on the man's face, as if he still wanted to say something.

"Alright, big brother."

At this moment, Viscount Hall walked over, lightly saying, "Father is entertaining important guests. Even if there's an issue, why be in such a hurry?"

Hearing Hall's words, the man's face darkened.

East Lake Village was his fiefdom, now being ravaged by the Phosphorescent Fire Elephant. While others might not be in a hurry, he couldn't remain indifferent.

"It's none of your concern. Leave."

The man said coldly, then turned his gaze to Welch, kneeling on one knee, pleading, "Sir Father, the Phosphorescent Fire Elephant is roaming near East Lake Village. Recently, many people have died. Please, for the sake of those innocent villagers, take action as soon as possible!"

Upon hearing the man's words, Welch's face turned ugly.

"Idiot! I'm not dead yet. When did Benliu City become your responsibility?"

Welch suddenly grabbed a wine glass and smashed it at the man, cursing, "Is your brain filled with water? You're just as foolish as your whore of a mother!"

The cup hit the man's forehead, causing blood to flow from the corner of his eyebrow.

But compared to the pain on his face, Welch's words made him feel more ashamed. However, facing the rage of Benliu City's Lord, he dared not say much.

On the side, Viscount Hall had a faint smile on his face.

"Get lost!"

Welch cursed again. The man could only silently stand up, leaving the hall without saying a word.

"Sorry, Sauron, for making you laugh."

Following that, Welch's tone returned to normal. He shook his head, saying, "My eldest son has never been smart, always making me angry."

"Don't mind him; let's continue."

Sauron slightly nodded, but his mind was contemplative.

The one scolded by Welch just now should be his eldest son, Moxine, a highly regarded Dual-Blade Knight in Benliu City.

Rumors outside claimed that Moxine had always been regarded as the successor by Welch. His Knight innate talent was excellent, and he had the ability to govern Benliu City well during Welch's absence. He was loved by the people, and his reputation even surpassed Welch's at one point.

However, it was precisely this reputation that displeased Welch.

At the same time, he felt a trace of fear. The youth and excellence of his eldest son made this Lord of Benliu City feel a sense of crisis.

Therefore, after Hall was born, Welch intentionally suppressed Moxine.

Not only did he drive him to East Lake Village, but he also gradually reduced cultivation resources, causing Moxine to be stuck at the Intermediate Level Knight realm for many years.

"Is the matter of the Phosphorescent Fire Elephant really not urgent?"

Sauron contemplated for a moment and said, "If Lord Welch needs it, don't mind me. We can go and subdue it now."

"No need, there's no hurry."

Welch waved his hand indifferently, saying, "That Phosphorescent Fire Elephant is just roaming near East Lake Village. It's still far from Benliu City."

"Let it live for another day. We can go tomorrow!"

Seeing Welch's attitude, Sauron didn't say much.

After all, East Lake Village wasn't his territory. Whether people died sooner or later, it had nothing to do with Night Raven City. So, a day earlier or later didn't matter.

As the sun set and the moon rose, night quietly descended, casting a silver-white radiance.

In a luxurious room in Benliu City, Sauron sat on the edge of the bed, meditating in the usual way. Dim rays of light floated around him.

After half an hour, Sauron slowly opened his eyes.

Looking at the data panel in front of him, thoughts flickered in Sauron's mind.

Compared to the last time, the changes in the data panel were not significant. Due to the lack of magical potions, the progress of the Snow Eagle Breathing Technique and Red Snake Breathing Technique had slowed down.

"I still need exclusive magical potions!"

Sauron sighed and picked up a black book titled "Encyclopedia of Secret Medicines" from the side. Upon opening it, it contained information about various magical potions.

"Sharp Eye Elixir, Wind Whisper Elixir, Widow's Grudge Elixir, Poison Blood Elixir, Crimson Scale Secret Elixir!"

From this "Encyclopedia of Secret Medicines," Sauron found five magical potions that could match the Snow Eagle Breathing Technique and Red Snake Breathing Technique cultivation.

Among them, Sharp Eye Elixir and Wind Whisper Elixir had a high amplification effect on the Snow Eagle Breathing Technique.

The other three magical potions matched with the Red Snake Breathing Technique, especially the Crimson Scale Secret Elixir, almost serving as an exclusive potion for the Red Snake Breathing Technique.

If relying on these five magical potions, the Red Snake Breathing Technique and Snow Eagle Breathing Technique could quickly reach their peaks.

Thinking of this, thoughts flickered in Sauron's mind.

Bringing these two Breathing Techniques to their peaks meant two additional runes. If he could possess six runes at the same time, Sauron would only be a step away from reaching the Level 2 Apprentice realm.

Dong dong!

Just as Sauron was contemplating, there was a knock on the door.

"Come in." Sauron said.

The door was pushed open, and two charming maids walked in. They wore transparent veils, revealing a layer of tempting allure. They softly said, "Master, please let us serve you."

"No need, you may leave."

Sauron waved his hand, his expression indifferent. Using household slaves to entertain guests was a noble tradition, still preserved in many places today.

However, Sauron wasn't interested tonight.

Not to mention whether these two maids were clean or not, he had to go to subdue the Phosphorescent Fire Elephant tomorrow. Sauron didn't want to waste energy on such matters.
