Chapter 3 - Headache

Dragging them with ease behind her, Shana made her way to the Medical Bay of the compound with ease. Kicking the door open startled every staff member, even the few muscle brained injured from sparring soldiers who tried to take a defensive stance while being bandaged…

That is until they saw who it was… they tried to stealthily get back on their beds and act like nothing was wrong with sweat dripping down their faces hoping that the Medical Shedevil wouldn't come check on them.

As she passed by them dragging four recruits, judging by their uniforms, the grown men silently prayed for their souls to be saved as she kicked four beds together before spinning, launching them up into the air and gently laying them down as if they were light as a feather like bedsheets.

she finally let go of their hands but they didn't let go of each other. Sensing the dread of the Bay she announced,

"They passed the exam! I gave them a GPS so they should be out for a while!" She looked at other medical personnel with a look and they realized what she ment with a nod, "No one is to remove them from this room by any means… Except Me… Is. That. Clear?"

She gave a look around the bay that made even the battle hard soldiers just nod their heads like good dogs as they waited for her to leave.

Which she did and as the doors closed behind her they all sighed in relief, one of the beaten up soldiers who was still new was confuses and just did what his seniors did spoke up questionably,

"Is that the Medical Shedeamon, you seniors warned us about? She was kinda cute!"

Every staff member jerked their head over to the doors in fear and waited.

Seeing that she didn't barge back in, means that she didn't hear the pups remark.

But the nurse taking care of him did.

Smacking the back of his head with a clear crack, she knocked the pup out before he could spout more nonsense. For Shedevils are pretty attractive, but the more attractive they are, the more power and skill they hide behind it.

Shana had made her way back to the pods as she encrypted their score but left their name in first place as she waited atop her pod seemingly invisible.

As still as a predator that waits for their prey silently, waiting for the sabatoshers to arrive.

Hours had passed by as she didn't move. Around the time for morning laps did three brave souls snuck into the practice room with maintenance tools in hand.

'I'll give points for stealth…' She thought as she watched them make their way through the room until one tripped spectacularly into the others who then scattered the tools everywhere with a loud clang and echoes of metal tools rolling at once.

Sounds like a metal banging waterfall.

'I take that back… They suck… Points for style tho…'

They collected the tools quickly as they finally made it to the pods. Going for the Teachers Pod that Shana was atop, they began to try and failed to find the panel to the wires.

Smirking because she knew they were inside the pod under the seat, sneaking down on her stomach so her head was just above theirs as they stood up confused.

With a creepy crackle, that sounded eerie and nonhuman, as it echoed from all around the three that paused with fear as they surveyed their surroundings.

The supervisors shivered from the sudden noise but then began to laugh as if they were watching a horror movie unfold.

From above with extreme balance she followed just above them. Just as they began to look between the pods, Shana moved from pod to pod and gently blew on the back of their necks, they grew scareder and more timid like little kids should in a dark room with a lot of hiding spots.

Expertly taking a tool silently from their opened box she then aimed at a metal wall and threw it.

A loud clang shook the room as the three bolted out of there with tails between their legs as they repeated the word, Nope.

Giggling at their scampering she noticed she got points for the amount of fear her targets experienced.

She then got into her pod and had Corvin start the test up and put it in standby mode with four pods glowing red and hers glowing green as she waited for the incompetent ones to show up.

In the group chat a new message popped up.

[Commander, your kids aren't here yet!]

Replying with a smirk, [Who wants to reward their kids with the chance to drag my kids here?]

[Rock, Paper, Scissors?]

[I mean… They may struggle so the more kids drag the eight of them the better… just saying I give permission!]

Many Graduated Testers smiled evilly as they each announced to their kids; That they got permission to drag the Commanders' Kids to the practice room by any means necessary and the group who brought the most with get rewarded by the Commander herself!

Cheers could be heard and a thunder of footsteps echoed the hallways as teams of kids bolted to the pilots quarters for that reward.

[Since it may be a while, do your kids want a chance to fly?]

The Tester already in the practice room conveyed the question as some eagerly volunteered because then they could see space! As they got in the pods screams could be heard and what sounded like war had broken out.

Down the hallways that led to the still sleeping cadets who were rudely awoken by hands of all sizes snatching and dragging them down from their bunks and out the door as more teams arrived to help did the kidnapped cadets start to freak out and thrash around. Many teams worked hard together to subdue the eight groggy kids as they made their way slowly yet skillfully restraining them on their way to the practice hall.

As it was captured on camera the compounds A.I.s all had a laugh before sending it to their respective bosses for review.

Eight groups had managed to make it to round five before rushing to the finish line and each did a different way to protect the transport as they were still learning the controls. Hiding the scoreboard except first place so as to give the sleepy cadets false hope.

By the time the parade of cadets that had captured and brought the eight pilots in like a primitive sacrifice ritual the other group made way, eight groups of four had passed a novice flying class with no knowledge or teachings except by Shana who explained the basics on how to maneuver, shoot, and shield display.

The eight cadets were dropped in front of the pods as the ones who had carried them stood off to the side in rows at attention with a poker face on as they knew that the commander was upset so they played it by the book.

Over the loudspeaker she commanded with anger in her voice, "FLY OR BE KICKED FROM SCHOOL!"

The rich kids didn't want to be kicked for they had spent too much money on bribery to be dismissed plus the entire school and their GTs were present and the glares from them made them feel insignificant.

So begrudgingly the eight all got in pods and four were randomly selected as the other four got to watch until their turn.

[Ready! Go!]

[Rykers Team Deploy]

The simulator called as the first batch took off to eliminate the enemies as they tried to book it to the finish line.

[Round 2!]

"What?" They cried as they saw multiple red dots appear behind them

[Transport Health Dropping Rapidly]

[Failed]

[Transport Did Not Cross The Finish Line]

[Next Group]

[Shenyte Team Deploy]

The second group tried to stay close to the transport as they dodged being shot at as they slowly took care of the enemies.

[Round 2]

They kept flying around the transport as if it was a shield as they sniped the enemy ships.

[Failed]

[Transport Destroyed]

[Generating Scores]

[Scores Hidden]

[Requesting Authorization]

The cadets got out of their pods and looked over at the teachers pod as a very calm expression officer.

First Lieutenant Woods got out and without saying a word to them she walked over to the sixteen who had lined up by the book and awaited their reward.

"Come!" With that she led the way out before pausing halfway, "Their Punishment Is In Y'alls Hands For The Day!" She disappeared with the group as many distorted faces smiled evilly towards the group.

Shana led the way to the Med Bay just in case she picked the wrong one again.

In a corner of the now empty bay, "Grab a shoulder so all of you are at least touching two people."

They did as they were told as they were confused by her actions.

Placing a hand on one of the end personnel she made a Fighter Sub System as it traveled through all of them with ease and only making them drop to one knee before initializing before their eyes and listing them on the progress tablet for that system.

Baffled cadets looked at her as a display she didn't know appeared above her head.

{Forerunner Mage}

As they easily got used to the system they found out that they couldn't move correctly just yet.

"Sit! Or you'll hurt yourselves!" She spoke and they did as they were told, "It will take a few hours to finish setting up in your system before you can use it… so just chill here for the day then report to your GTs!"

"Understood!" They cried out as she left them to check on the others who were still knocked out.

Going back to the pods she got into her teachers pod and began flying other simulators as some of the other kids got in the pods and tried to follow her and learn how to fly since they had seen that their different classes did better than those who were trained.

Over the next few days instead of a morning run, the classes would take turns to drag the pilot cadets out of bed and to the pods before the sun had risen, and in return was granted the F.S.S at the end of the day.

She didn't mind giving out the systems because she got extra points from every system that generated points.

She had used the points she had before like water and still barely made a dent in the points as she upgraded herself to that higher than a Spartan, and her designated Pelican could hold more than three Destroyers, had auto regeneration, and the base entrance could hold a lot of people and heal them over time, as well as an advanced hyperdrive capability, and advanced shielding that could auto regenerate faster than it would be damaged.

Knowing that, to change history she would need a lot of points because she didn't know how much it would cost to save as many as she could.

As days passed and the eight started to get into a routine to wake up did she start to drill flying back into them like they were kids.

The four had woken up and Shana had given them to another GT for physical therapy, they were increasing points and skills that they distributed evenly.

The other kids still couldn't get the basics down and had begun the attempt to bribe her.

Money was money.

Whenever they bribed her, the money in their account would transfer, she would then wave her hand and let them be for half a day before personally dragging to practice.

On some days she had leashed them together and tied it to her and made them jog for the entire day, at her own pace, if more than two did horrible in the simulators.

The kids with the systems watched the torture and were glad that they had gotten on her good side early as they begun to finish their day.

After another week of that technique did their flying skills improve to just above novice.

Now they could at least hit their moving targets but still couldn't prevent their objective from exploding.

With their still crappy attitude and they hadn't learned their lesson she continued to accept their money for half a day off.

Shana began to wonder if she could make them go missing with how poor mannered they have been since day one.
