Taro's POV
Later that afternoon, ambulances and police cars came to the scene, assisting in the situation at the school. They helped and gave psychological and physical treatment to those who were hurt physically and mentally by the mass hysteria. Police officers asked questions to the principal, vice-principal, and other teachers and faculty staff regarding what had happened. They gave out true accounts to them in detail as the officers jotted down in their notepads. The scene was hectic as a result. And as I was sitting on a stretcher, my senpai came and apologized to me for chasing and attacking me.
"That yokai made me do it," he said to me while being remorseful.
"It's okay, senpai, it wasn't basically your fault," I replied back while reassuring him of our friendship.
He became happy again. "Thanks, man."
After that, I turned to the ones who helped me: Kuro, Saki, Bokuto, and the temporary PE teacher Sha.
Earlier, they told me their names shortly after defeating Amanojaku.
They were talking to the police and paramedics.
"You know, I felt blessed with these people," I said to my senpai.
"Yeah, you're right," he replied in agreement.
Then, Kuro and Sha called me to come to them, so I get off the stretcher, "I gotta go now, senpai."
"Okay, see you!"
I ran towards Kuro and Sha. "Hey, what's up?"
"Come with us, we will show you something," Sha said to me.
"Oh, okay."
They led me to an empty classroom on the first floor. There they closed the doors and windows and turned on the lights.
"Okay, why here, guys?" I asked, raising a question.
"We'll show you this," Sha responded.
He then glanced at Kuro. "Do it."
"Yes," replied Kuro, before raising his mighty scythe and, with magic, transforming it into a handheld kunai knife.
I was amazed at it. "Woah!"
Then, Kuro reverted back to his seemingly ordinary self.
His eyes became black.
"What is going on here?" I asked.
"This one here is Hoshi Santos," Sha explained, "and the Kuro you saw last time is his other self."
"What…? That was…awesome."
"Yes, it was, Taro-kun." Hoshi folded his arms while holding his kunai knife in his left hand. "That was me, and I and Kuro are in one body."
"Can you keep this a secret?" Sha asked me for a favor.
Eventually, I agreed, saying, "Yes, I'll do that for you."
"Thanks, man, welcome to our group," Hoshi happily responded.
"Okay, thanks, dude."
At this point, I felt something within me that gave a spark of inspiration, like a spark of fire to make a campfire.
Shortly after, the school will be closed for 2 days so mediums would inspect the school for any bad spirit or yokai.
Later, at home, at 5:12 p.m., I was lying on my bed staring at the ceiling while thinking about something. You know what? I wanted to be an exorcist, like them, but with a different style of fighting and exorcising. Those words then got stuck in my mind for the time being.
