Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 – Victims

Third person POV

But, since he did this in front of Saki, Kuro looked at Saki, who was amazed to see him and his scythe.

 "So cool…" she uttered.

Then, Kuro sighed. "Yes, it's me, Kuro, the other self of your friend Hoshi."

"Yes, that's him, Saki-chan," Bokuto admitted. "Sorry for hiding this from you."

Saki understood that, and she smiled at them. "It's okay. All of us had a secret or two. In fact, I had a secret, too."

"What is it?" Bokuto asked, letting go of the young man.

 "I am a mage."

Kuro, Bokuto, and Sha are very surprised to hear that.

 "Woah…"

 "What?"

 "Amazing."

"Yes, I am," Saki replied back.

"That's okay, too." Kuro seriously said to her. "I am Hoshi's secret, you know."

He then stared at Sha, and he was a bit hostile towards him.

Sha is not hostile toward him back and completely respects him.

Then, Kuro reverted back to being Hoshi, and his mighty scythe reverted back into a handheld kunai knife.

"Yeah, it's me," he said to his friends.

With that, Sha looked at the young man. "Don't worry, sir, you didn't do anything. A yokai did it and made you do all that."

"Thank you." the young man nodded, before leaving the scene.

Sha then looked at the three students. "Come on, let's go to the hospital to see if there are any victims."

And so, the four of them went to the hospital in the neighborhood. There they saw that there were a handful of people being treated because of their wounds from being attacked by someone who was under Amanojaku's control. As they walked along, they began asking questions about the man's rampage on them. They became like detectives as a result. Then, Mariya came to them and asked if they were also in the market street at that time.

 "Yes," her younger brother replied.

"We were there at that time," Saki added.

"But don't worry, I managed to disarm him." Bokuto folded his arms.

"I managed to scare Amanojaku away and keep your younger brother and his friends safe," Sha said to Mariya.

Mariya then sighed in relief. "Thank goodness."

"It's my job to protect my students from harm," Sha added.

At this point, Hoshi began to trust Sha slowly with caution, but Kuro remained suspicious and distrustful towards him.

Not long after, the police came and began asking us and the victims some questions regarding the attack at the market street, hoping for a possible suspect. We answered honestly and gave out a brief physical description of the young man. They eventually understood it, and they said that they would search for him to arrest him for murder and attempted murder. But Sha wanted them to understand that the Amanojaku did it and not the young man himself. The young man was controlled by it. The police understood it once more, and they assured us they would give the young man charges and a fair trial in court. After that, they left the hospital.
