This young master was truly observant. He had just put her in a fix.
Was she to lie or say the truth? She had no idea.
"Aren't you going to respond?" Ben pressed her for an answer.
"I wasn't mad or anything, you see,my sister is not loved at home as she's my stepsister, daughter of a maid, and your brother isn't loved at home," Madison paused as she tried to guage his look.
Seeing that he was paying attention and listening to her, she continued.
"When I saw the both of them, I felt as though they were a perfect match, probably it was fate which made my sister end up being your brother's wife," Madison said in a shaky voice.
She had to show that she was somewhat scared of his loud voice so he could lower his voice.
"So your sister is nothing but a stepsister, I think you are right, they do really match each other's personality," Ben nodded his head.
Madison heaved a sigh seeing that he blindly trusted her.
