Jade looked truly bitter which made me wonder if this was normal for her or she just had an attitude problem and didn't know how to comport herself in public.

"Well, if you insist Luna. I have nothing to tell you other than the fact that I cannot be of help if you would rather work with Marbel than me. However, I seriously doubt my master will give Marbel to you."

"And why is that?"

"First, you're a Luna, and Lunas need protectors." I have Reagan.

Jade seemed turned off by my input, and then she continued, "The Alpha King may be unable to protect you at times—"

"—Jade, following me around Is not going to do any good."

"I'm a trained warrior." Jade said, leaving me astounded. She removed her jacket and turned around, revealing the scorpion mark on her back.

I swallowed as I stared down at the number written beneath the mark. Seven.
