Upon hearing this, Lucius nodded his head and continued to speak. He told them everything that he knew starting from the burst of demonic energy to the sealing up of him.
Silence remained in the entire place for the next minute or two before the leader finally spoke up.
"If we assess the bandit based on his healing ability alone, he seems almost like a demon since demons have absurd regenerating abilities.
However, the likelihood of him being a demon is extremely slim, as no lifeform can breach the Divine Walls into the human domain, which is deemed impossible. Nonetheless, we'll inform the higher-ups about this matter." The leader said to Lucius.
The Divine Wall is the main barrier and the first line of defense of humanity which is created by the national treasure of humanity.
This barrier is very powerful and requires a very low amount of mana to stay activated considering the sheer size of the barrier. This barrier has fended off the attacks of Phoenix, Dragon, Demons, and Elves for thousands of years. Even when nearly a billion enemies attacked the barrier at the same time a few centuries ago, it still stood firmly.
Lucius nodded his head upon hearing the guard's comment. Lucius remembered something important, so he asked them about it.
"Have you guys killed or captured the D-grade Bandits?" Lucius asked, his voice carrying seriousness.
The faces of the bandit turned pale when they heard about this. Nonetheless, it didn't take too long for them to reply.
"We have failed to capture the bandits or kill them. They have successfully escaped with the item which they were here for" The leader of the bandit, sounded quite sad.
Upon hearing this, a notification flashed in Lucius's retina when he heard that. Lucius carefully read the notification.
(You have failed the D-grade Quest)
(There isn't any penalty if you fail this quest)
(You will not receive any rewards since you have failed to meet a single condition of the mission.)
When Lucius saw the notification flashing in his retina, he became a bit sad.
"Oh well even if I didn't receive any gold coins, this journey has been very fruitful due to the experience that I have received" Lucius muttered under his breath.
Lucius looked at his summons who were beside him.
"I don't need them now," Lucius mumbled.
He thought about canceling the summoning then a notification flashed in his retina.
(You have canceled Summoning magic)
(You have canceled Summoner's enchantment. This skill is not usable until the cooldown is over)
He looked at his summons dissipating into countless small fragments before turning his attention to the guards. The guard seemed very sad and frustrated. It was probably due to their failure to capture the bandits alive.
However, whether they were sad or not, this was none of Lucius' business so he just ignored this. He had one question in mind that he wanted to ask.
"What are you guys going to do now?" Lucius asked them.
Upon hearing Lucius' words, the leader immediately replied even though he was not obligated to answer this question.
"We are going to inform the higher-ups about this incident and request help," The leader said to Lucius.
Lucius nodded his head in approval, then he turned around.
"Since the bandits have already left the place. Then I will leave since there is no use in me staying here" Lucius remarked as he turned around.
He began to walk away, but none of the guards said anything signaling that they didn't care. A voice resounded through his ears that caused him to stop.
"Wait a minute," The leader said to Lucius as he walked towards him.
Lucius halted his steps and patiently waited for the leader. Without saying a single word, the leader threw a pouch towards him.
Lucius opened the pouch and was shocked to see what was inside. Two shining coins were inside the vouch, the coin was white in color.
It was the Diamond coin whose value was comparable to 1000 gold coins. There were two of them on top of that.
Lucius looked at the guard with eyes full of gratitude.
"Consider this a gift from us and don't worry we have a dozen more such coins" The leader of the guards replied.
When Lucius heard that the guard had dozens more gold coins he widened his eyes in disbelief.
The leader ignored his disbelief and continued to speak.
"We are also going to pass the information that you gave us but there is a small chance that you will be called by the royal family for questioning within the next week so please give me your address before," The leader said to Lucius.
Lucius nodded his head when he heard that. A few seconds later, he was given a piece of paper and pen on which he wrote down the address on a piece of paper and handed it over. He had the time to go since they were going to the dungeon 10 more days later anyway.
The leader of the guard took the piece of paper and kept it inside his pocket.
"Already, you can go now. We will not deactivate the barrier so you will need a key to create a hole in the barrier." The leader said to Lucius as took out something from his pocket.
A second later, he took out the red key from which a dense amount of mana could be felt from it. The leader tossed the key to Lucius. Lucius got it, he inspected it a bit.
A second later, a notification flashed in his retina as he was about to read it, and a voice resounded through his ears.
"This key can be used to create a hole in the barrier that's enclosing the entire area. But it can only be used once after that, the key will be destroyed" The leader explained the uses of the key.
Lucius nodded his head as he also confirmed the uses of the key by seeing the description.
"Do you guys know any healer who treats patients nearby since I will have to get my broken bones healed?" Lucius asked the guards.
"Yes, I know a healer who treats patients nearby. I can give you the address you want it" Eilo said to Lucius.
Lucius nodded his head, Eilo didn't waste any time, he took out paper and pen on which he wrote down the address. He handed the address to Lucius.
"I will be taking my level," Lucius remarked as he turned and began to walk towards the barrier.
He was moving very slowly due to the injuries that he had sustained. He felt an enormous pain in his legs with each step he took due to the injuries he sustained. He was forced to move slowly due to this reason.
Even though most of his injuries were healed, his bones remained broken since the potion that he consumed wasn't strong enough to heal his bones.
"I will have to go to a healer to heal my bones since natural recovery will be very slow" Lucius muttered under his breath.
A few minutes of walking later, Lucius reached the barrier. When he was a few cm away from the barrier, he took out the key.
He touched the barrier with the key. The moment the key made contact with the barrier, a small hole formed on the barrier just large enough for a person to fit through.
Lucius went to the other side of the barrier within a few seconds. The hole began to close up shortly after he walked out of the barrier. The key that he was holding started to turn into ash until nothing was left of it.
Lucius looked around him and saw that the place was as deserted as the last time he was there. There wasn't even a single soul. The place was fairly lit up but the lamps were blackish brown so it didn't reflect the light too well but it was still fairly bright.
"This place is going to become crowded soon, I should leave quickly," Lucius mumbled.
As he was about to walk, he remembered something important.
"Should I go home or to a healer to get my bones healed?" Lucius thought to himself.
A few seconds of thinking later, he decided what to do.
"I will go to a healer first. Let's go to the address the guards gave me" Lucius muttered under his breath as he began to walk towards a certain direction.
