It was only 3 am when I woke up from the loud noises that are coming from the outside of my room. It's normal to hear people yell in the middle of the night, but this time it was different. It doesn't sound like an angry yell it rather sounds like a screaming from a big croud as if they were all afraid of one thing. From the outside of my room I can see a strange orange light, which looks different than the normal bright white light which is normally coming from the lamps that are hanging on the ceiling. Something is strange here, something strange is happening here and I need to figure out what it is.
As soon as I open the door, that leads to the outside of my room, I feel the surprisingly warm air brush over my face. The air is weird and the few people I see look so afraid that I didn't dare to ask what is wrong. Then my eyes catch the sight of the cause of all this trouble.
About a half kilometer away I see gigantic flames that are destroying the buildings and come closer every minute. How did this happen? And where is everyone going? We can't go out, right?
Suddenly something comes to my mind, which was, in this moment, way more important than where the people are running at. Shin. Where is he? If he doesn't know about the fire, then he could die… That would mean the end of my plan. I need to get to him.
I look in the direction of where the special lab is where he should be at, but I only see the flames that are coming closer and closer to the exact spot I'm looking at. If I want to save him, I'll have to hurry.
Without wasting another thought on this stupid scene I run for my life. That's what I'd like to say, but in reality I'm running for the life of this stupid jerk. It's 3 am, I should be tired, but I can't think of anything like sleeping right now. If I want to escape, I need his abilities. Don't die on me here, you fucker.
Normally it would take at least 15-20 minutes to walk in a normal speed to the lab, but I made it in only 8. I'm running through the floors, through the hall and end up at the big metallic door that opens the little PC room. I take the keycard and open the door quickly, so that I can run to his room. To my surprise, the door was already open and as I look around and yell his name, I get no response. Shin is not here and the fire right behind me cracks, in order to burn me any minute.
