"why don't you move in with me? I don't need this much space, and you can save on rent."
Dalton Liddle didn't know why he offered. He only knew Lydia for two days. It would have been weird to ask someone to move in so suddenly. However, he still ask and was hoping for an answer.
The truth was that when he was with Sandra, he was the inferior party in their relationship. He listened to her most of the time and could barely speak his mind. However, it was different being with Lydia. She would always respect his wishes and ask for his opinion.
Being a man, Dalton like that she looked up to him and saw him as the lead. How she handled things and spoke made him very satisfied, and that made him like being with her more.
"Is that.....okay?" Lydia was unsure.
Despite her uncertainty, she was eager. She just needed to move in, and she would be set with Dalton.
She didn't care if Dalton wanted to cross the line with her. She might even seduce him on purpose.
Every woman would go through that one day.
Lydia had always been one with a mid of her own. She was the prettiest girl throughout high school until university and many young man chase after her. Some of which are the hunk of the school and wealthy powerful heirs. However, she rejected all of them.
Even if she had not been in a relationship until now, she knew what she wanted. If she wanted an ordinary man to spend the rest of her life with, she could have dated a long time ago.
However, that was not what she wanted. She wanted to realize her value and change her and her family's destiny. As for the things that would help her on this journey, it would make a huge difference if someone had touched her or not.
That was why she never dated and waited until this day. Dalton would be stepping stone for her to realize that life goal. She just needed to get her hands on the big tree that was him. After that, she would not need to climb to the top, and just the first branch would be enough.
She had never imagined marrying a super-rich heir like him. People like him would normally marry someone of equal background. Since she decided on this path, she had never considered marriage. I know where to draw the line...
So, when Dalton invited her to move in, the happiness she felt was surreal, and she had a hard time wrapping her mind around it.
"What's there to worry about? I don't need that much space anyway. It'll be great to have someone to talk to. Of course, it'll be different if you have a boyfriend. Then, you can ignore what I said on case it causes unnecessary misunderstanding."
"No. No. I don't have a boyfriend. To be honest, I've never been in a relationship. I was just worried that I would be intruding in your space." Lydia hastily explain, as she was afraid he would misunderstood her.
Never been in a relationship? Impossible! He thought to himself but still tried to convince her. "No, you're not. I like a crowd. It's lonely staying in such a big house alone. If you don't come, I will looked for a couple more housemates from the school anyway."
"Since you put it that way, then thank you. I'll move in tomorrow, then?"
"Sure. Do you need help?"
"It's okay. I'll be fine. I don't have much stuff, to begin with."
"Cool! Then you can tour the place now and pick a room to your liking. You can pick from any floor. I stay on the upper floor. It's fine if you want to stay on the upper floor as well, but remember to close the door at night." Dalton had a cheeky personality, teasing the lady naturally.
"Dalton.... My door won't be locked even if I stay on the lower floor. You can come in whenever you want." Lydia's voice filled with temptation.
What a minx! Dalton thought to himself.
"Didn't you want to go swimming together, Lydia? There's a pool here. We can go whenever we want in the future."
"Sure! Why don't we go now?" Since she had reached the point of being close to him, she continued flirting with him.
"Caught. Caught. We'll do a rain check."
Dalton could not handle her straightforwardness, especially with her sultry laid back posture. She was like Marilyn Monroe. He could feel himself hardening if they continued the conversation.
Lydia stood up and walked toward Dalton before leaning down to whispered into his ear. "You can always come to me. I got a new swimsuit, and I'm sure you'd admire it."
He was not and bothered and wanted to just push her on the ground, but he controlled himself and stood up.
"Make yourself at home, Lydia. I-I need to get something upstairs. We'll return to the hotel shortly."
He scrambled for an excuse with a flushed face because he couldn't take it anymore. It felt like a huge mistake to ask Lydia to move in. If she continued to tempt him like this everyday, he wouldn't be able to take it.
Lydia, on the other hand, stayed where she was and smiled. Oh, my! Isn't he just adorable?
She was almost certain that he was virgin. However, who would believe that a super-rich heir like him was one?
Could it be that he was impotent? That can't be. If that were the case, then what advantages do I have now? How am I going to get my hands on him? No. There's still time. Lydia could only comfort herself.
If he knew what she was thinking about, he would probably have pushed her onto the ground immediately. How could she suspect that he was incapable? That was too insulting, he would show her who boss was.
As he got to the highest floor and entered the bedroom, Dalton threw himself onto the huge bed.
Phew! Finally, I can catch my breath. She was too much of a minx, and he could not take it, but he wasn't disgusted at all.
Taking out his phone, he logged into Facebook to see there were over 100 comments on his post last night on the riverside.
Scrolling through them, he realised they were mostly comments messing with him.
So, he replied to a few that he was close with but didn't reveal that he bought an expensive unit. Nobody would believe him even if he did.
He returned to the chats and saw a few people had messaged him.
Josephine sent him a good morning text, while another one was from his cousin, Hazel Dawson. She was his aunts eldest daughter, but she was two years younger than he was and attending university as a freshman in different city.
They had a good relationship because he stayed at his aunts place during the first few years of high school and only moved to his another aunts during his senior year.
As the academic stress during senior year was huge, he had to move out because his aunt had a naughty, mischievous son who interfered in his studies. His first aunt only had a daughter two years older than him who had graduated and started working.
Hazel: 'Dalton, where did you take this picture? It's beautiful!'
'Took this in Kuastead. If you like it, you can come over during the holidays. I'll bring you around.'
'Really? Pinky promise.'
'Of course. When have I lied to you?'
'True. Then, it's set. I'll come to you when I'm on break.'
'Okay.'
'Btw! I'm a streamer on Whale Live Stream. Remember to join my stream when you have the time.'
'Oh wow. You're even into streaming now?'
'Dalton, you're so dull. All four of us in my hostel are doing it. It's fun, and we can earn some pocket money.'
'Then, I'll join in tonight and help you with the number of watchers.'
'Oh, right. Are you still working part-time now, Dalton? I got 3,000 from streaming last month, and mom just sent me 1,500. I'll transfer 2,000 to you in a bit. So you can bring Sandra for a nice meal!'
Seing that, Dalton was touched. After moving out from his aunts place after junior year, they rarely met up, but they were still close to each other.
'It's fine. Keep the money and buy nice clothes for yourself. I have a surprise for you when you visit Kuastead during your break.'
'What surprise?'
'A secret.'
'Dalton, you minnie! Fine. I've got to go now cause I've got a class. Bye!'
'Take care.'
Soon after, he saw that she had sent 2,000 to him.
After some thought, he decided to accept it as he was planning on bombarding her with gifts during the live stream.
Thinking that he had stalled enough time, Dalton went downstairs and handed a key to Lydia.
Since he made an offer, he had to deliver it. If he could not take it anymore, he could just move out and buy a new place since he had all the money in the world.
From his point of view, it was irresponsible to cross the line if two people had not confirmed their relationship. After that, they both got ready to head back to the Golddenn hotel.
