Chereads / The Villainess Wins / Chapter 20 - Chapter 19

Chapter 20 - Chapter 19

Kiera picked up the box with the bracelet and looked at the smug Eileen, "How did you manage to register this to me?"

To register a credit stone, you will need to bind it to a certain genetic code, so no one else can use it.

"I'm still your legal guardian. There are ways."

"Are you planning on accepting this crazy project and actually become some sort of villainess?" Thea asked.

Kiera shrugged and contemplated if another cheesecake would endanger her waistline, "I'm interested in going that route. From the initial offer I will be getting all the training I would normally get plus villainess training. Probably understanding various popular villain characters and understanding them. It will be tough but I graduated high school and I don't need a part time job thanks to Eileen's wizardry. I can devout my entire time and attention to just being better."

Eileen let out a thoughtful hum, "If you do accept this offer then you might as well ask for several more perks. Historically villainess get hated, so maybe a flat with some good security? Though we can invest in one instead?"

Thea looked at her twin, "We can propose that, it's good to ask for a lot at first then haggle from there. Though I do agree a flat will be a marvelous investment." Thea turned to Kiera, "Give me a list of what you think you'll need and we can try to add them in our proposal. I'll hand them over to the lawyer I have in mind and you should be able to meet up with her during the week. When are you meeting the agency for discussions?"

"I really just want my classes and a speaking role. And as to the date, they haven't confirmed anything as of yet. They'll be doing background checks. Those take a while, don't they?"

"Not if you hire someone good. And technically there's not much to know about you and our family. There's the three of us and that's it."

Kiera rolled her eyes at Eileen, "Oh, and your apparent Midas touch."

Eileen let out a laugh, "Oh honey, everyone knows I make money by making money for other people. Just as you enjoy acting, I enjoy financial trends and getting richer."

"Well now that you have your money, I suggest you spend it. Get a new phone." Eileen suddenly paused, "I was going to say get a new wardrobe but they probably would want you to follow a certain style. No use buying clothes you're not going to wear." Eileen gave her a once-over, "It would be good for you to see a stylist."

Kiera glared at her and crossed her hands over her chest, "Stop judging me!"

Thea was typing away at her phone, "I'll note down that we'll need to ensure you get a right to agree or disagree about any style changes. You would not want to be stuck wearing things you don't even want to wear."

Kiera frowned at that, from her experience, new artists hardly have a say in what their agency wants them to do. From change in hair color, change in personal style, make-up and everything else. She shared those exact thoughts to her sisters.

"I'm not saying you won't follow their directive; it would be you having a say and actually telling them you don't want something done. A line in the sand if you will." The pointed at her and sneered, "I better work double time to get this contract air-tight, you're actually no help. You'll probably accept becoming some slave, barely earning anything as long as you can act. If you want to be good at something you need to show people you know that you're worth the investment. Accepting just anything is called a doormat and that will get you nowhere."

Kiera flinched, that was exactly what she did in her last life.
