"What are you doing here?" The sudden question made Kiera turn around and she found a woman in a light pink business suit scowling at her. She looked absolutely disgusted after she gave Kiera the head to foot. "You have no business here. You're trespassing."
Before Kiera could even say a word, the woman had her phone out, "I will be calling security to throw you out. The likes of you have no business being here."
The nerve!
Kiera leaned back against the window, "You can try. But I would like you to know that I am waiting for Ana Reed." She gave the woman a beatific smile, "We have an appointment and sadly she is running late. But feel free to call security, I would like to ask them why you are here. I believe we have a private meeting with her."
The woman totally ignored her and turned to the two women and man that followed her in. "I apologize, I have no idea how the riffraff got in. But no worries, we will make sure that she hasn't taken anything before she leaves."
'Now she's calling me a thief,' Kiera thought to herself.
One of the women who had had on a pair of sunglasses wrinkled her nose directly at Kiera and averted her gaze, as if Kiera's t-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes somehow personally offended her.
The man then gave Kiera a glare, "I suggest you have the place sanitized as well and absolutely up the security. We expect better from such a fine establishment."
Pink suit smiled at the man, "Of course. I will ensure to reprimand security on this lapse."
Though Kiera was absolutely disgusted with the conversation, she kept her cool despite the total disrespect to her person. She had met worse people in her life and had received more artful snobs. This was practically amateurish.
She swore to never to turn into such an entitled people.
At that moment there was a knock at the door and the same security personnel that showed them the way, opened the door. "Ma'am, you called for security? May I know the problem?" He seemed to be assessing the situation with Kiera still leaning languidly against the window and the tense people by the door.
Immediately Pink Suit marched towards him and pointed at Kiera, "Get her out right this instant. I have potential buyers with me and this is absolutely a disgrace. How could someone like her get in here? I will make sure to file a report on this matter."
The burly security personnel frowned at the much shorter Pink Suit, "Ma'am, she's Ms. Reed's guest and they were in the appointment list shared to us. I personally showed her up just earlier." Kiera wished she had a camera to take a picture of Pink Suit's sudden pinched look.
"Are you certain? Because I do not see Ms. Reed here and that woman could not possibly afford this place."
"And who are you to judge my guests, Sharon?" a woman in a business dress came in at that moment, her gaze focused on Pink Suit, "What I would like to know is what you are doing here? I've blocked this day for my clients and I should be the only realtor with access today."
She turned to Kiera and bowed her head, "I apologize for being very late and with this sudden intrusion, Miss Moireach."
Kiera waved a dismissive hand, "They did make my wait a bit more interesting. Though being called riffraff is quite something new."
Ms. Reed's eyes got visibly bigger and she rounded at Sharon, "Leave this instant. Your disrespect to my client is not to be tolerated."
Sharon immediately placated Ms. Reed, "I'm sure it was all a big misunderstanding. How could you leave a client here on her own in the first place. And I have a very interested buyer with me and they're only able to check the place today. I'm sure you'll understand."
Sharon turned to Kiera and gave her a strained smile, "I apologize for the misunderstanding, we were just alarmed, surely you understand."
The woman with the sunglasses turned to the man with her, "If this place accepts someone like her then I would rather not stay here."
Kiera was sure it was meant to be some sort of private conversation but loud enough for everyone else to hear, as if saying she wanted them to clearly hear those words. Well, it was most probably aimed at her.
Kiera put on her most charming smile, "I'm glad to hear that. As I am planning to buy this place, I would rather not have someone like you here. Riffraff like myself would rather have princesses like you far, far away."
"You bitch! How dare you!"
That got her brisling and she took a step forward as if to storm directly at Kiera and slap her, but the older woman with her quickly held on and whispered something to her. She gritted her teeth and if glares could kill people, Kiera was sure she would be dead by now.
Kiera's smile just got bigger and she wiggled her fingers at her as Ms. Princess turned around and stomped out. A magnificent exit considering she was wearing very high heels. Pink Suit immediately followed them and the man gave her another glare as he went out.
Ms. Reed immediately apologized to her for the entire accident.
"As long as you can give me a good deal then I'll forget the entire thing entirely."
They were discussing the floorplan and the furnishings when Eileen joined them around fifteen minutes later. Within the hour, Kiera had paid the reservation fee on the place and was planning to send the contract to Thea.
As Eileen drove them back to her place, she turned to Kiera and asked, "I thought you didn't like the place?"
"I didn't. But I'd rather have it than to have some snotty princesses to have it. Feel free to call me petty." And Kiera proceeded to share with her what happened.
She smirked at her sister, "The credits I spent are worth having her stomp out of the place."
