Chapter 25
Snotlout Pov:
We finally managed to find what we were looking for, though, Mia was the only one smart enough to figure out how to work it. Using it, we created new Identities, backgrounds, and more for all of us.
"So, Tuffnut Thorstons new name is, Shtuffnut Ohmsffnut Elfffnut?," I ask. Where did he even come up with a name like this and is it even a name?
"Yep, my sir Ulgerthrope Rhaelpe," He responds to me.
"Ok, and Ruffnut Thorstons new name is, Cackleffnut Grangruffnut Elfffnut?," I ask again. Where do they get these names?
"Yes sirree, and our Mia here is Elmia Visercherous, a fitting name indeed," Ruffnut replies.
"Well, I don't know whether or not the computers can be tracked, but Jake gave me a Water tight box and a key to open it. He gave the same to everyone else, though they were only prepared for people living at the house sadly," I tell them.
Jake had given me a box, he said when we get to out destination to open it and follow the instructions. What they were, I don't know yet. I grab the box and open it as the dogs and other guys watch on. Opening it up, I find a note, and, something else?
"This is a new operating system I am working on. Currently it does not work for computers, but it is also compatible with our phones. Take the chip and replace the sim card. There are already numbers saved in there for everyone else and are working off of my personal network. The computer OS that I am working on will be sent to this when it is ready, Jake," I read out loud.
"He developed an operating system on his own?!," Mia exclaims.
"He does a lot that none of us can explain, if not more than Hiccup. He seems to be someone out of this world," I tell them.
"Well, enough on that, lets see what this chip can do," I say and get to work.
Hunter Pov:
Having everything set up now, I get to work on opening Jake's box. He put it in my footlocker and it is a little bit interesting.
"I gave you one of the three copies I currently have of the operating system. It is only ready for contact currently on the computer and some other processes, like the website preinstalled on it. You also have a copy for the phone which is fully compatible. Doesn't matter what you run, but it will be a new number as it is a sim card. Numbers are already saved on it, Jake," I read. He really is an over-preparer, isn't he.
I take out the sim card and switch out the one in my phone. It won't do me much good down here, but my wifi is set up. Next, is my computer.
For the computer, that is a little bit tricky. He did give me a motherboard though so that is a bonus. I have a Desktop here I was planning on setting up anyway. All I need to do is plug this one in, if it will fit, which it should. After that, if he comes out with a better one I just need to pick it up.
Hiccup Pov:
We are sailing to an island just out of view of Berk, but really easy to get to. It was a place that Thorfinn's family used to go fishing at. As we are heading there I check my pack and find something Jake gave me, Astrid has the same, but a different size.
"Hiccup, inside this pack you will find a sim card with saved contacts for everyone else. That way we can't be tracked, plus they are all on my new network that I have been working on recently. You also have one of three copies of the Computer version, set it up when you get to your destination. Then wait for my email, Jake," I read.
Astrid has something similar, but she only has the sim card. I still don't get that kid despite all the time we have spent together. I guess this will give me something to work on when we get to the island in around an hour from now.
Emma Pov:
As we set off, all Items needed on the small ship, Jake gives us two boxes. "Take the Sim cards and switch them out for the ones in your phones. They are new numbers on a private network I made. They also have everyone's contacts saved in them," He tells us.
Taking that into account I start by heading below deck and sitting on a bench with Hannah. This is best as to not lose it, knowing how upset that would make Jake. There we take our phones out of their cases and go to the sim card section. There we use a tool to open it up and delicately remove the card. Currently all our phones are shut off as to not transmit.
Taking the card, I put it in a tray with Hannah's. Taking the new card, I put it into the phone, Hannah doing the same. With them installed we put our phones back into their cases and I grab the tray. I put it on the ground, take a Iron Sledge Hammer, and break the Sim cards. Was all that necessary, no, did I want to, yes. We could have simply broke them in half.
Taking the tray after making sure all is in it, I throw it over board. The reason we did all that is it will be almost impossible to find even a ship in the sea, let alone a card that can be covered by my thumb, or one that is smashed to pieces.
As we travel, I watch as the ship takes random turns here and there. Eventually I realize we are only a mile from Berk, but I can't see it even though there is no fog behind us. Looking forward, I see fog, and as we go through, I see an island towering before us.
"What in the world is this?!," I ask aloud.
"An island Hiccup's ancestors found, but they kept it hidden. He had an old book but could never decipher it. Due to our origin's, I am an expert in deciphering information. Welcome to New Berk," Jake tells me and Hannah.
