Chapter 10
Snotlout Pov:
I had just finished Studying for the 7th day in a row with Emma. Today was the day that we went to the school open house. From what I understand there will be other groups like ours to cover for us in a way. Or discourage those who mean us harm from finding us.
I go up stairs after getting a shower and dressed. Once I am up I find everyone else getting ready seeing as we are leaving early. Basically all students are being picked up by a bus to take them to school. Everyone should have received a ticket in the mail to enter.
I go to the dining table and grab my ticket as Night comes up with a tennis ball. It seems that he wants to play. I stuff the ticket into my back pocket and go outside with the ball after saying to Hiccup. "I'll be outside with Night." Who yells back. "Ok."
As I exit though Summer follows, I guess they both wanna play. I go into the yard and throw towards the front as they go after it. They play fight over it before bringing it back. I do that 3 more times before they get bored.
Looking around I go into the shed and grab the tug of war rope. As I am bringing it out into the yard Night grabs one end so I pull the other. Then Summer joins helping Night and I end up being dragged to the front lawn!
As we arrive I hear laughing and see everybody else ready looking at me. "Stop laughing! Its not funny!" I yell at them but they don't stop.
After they finish Hiccup and Emma put their pets on their leashes. From there we set out and arrive at the nearby school busstop. We wait for five minutes as more prople arrive and then the bus arrives. Looking around I notice some other people with pets as well, though no wolfs.
People see Night and just think that he is a rare breed. Mainly because you never see domesticated wolves in the city, or anywhere for that fact. We get on the bus showing out tickets and sit in the back by ourselves.
Emma sits sith Summer, Hiccup sits with Jake and Night. Hannah sits with Astrid while I sit with Hunter. As the bus leaves a cocky guy trys to sit with Emma who does not want to. The guy trys to but is forced away by the protective Summer and he sits elsewhere.
During the ride I notice people with devices in their hands. Looking closer I recognize them as smart phones. Though going by Stoicks rules, no phones until we are 13. Hunter being 13 already is actually waiting one year so it is more fair. Or one could say that everyone gets one in eighth grade.
Looking around I notice that all schools are not in the main town of berk. After 10-20 minutes we arrive at the school grounds on private property. It turns out that the schools are on the other side of the docks, all elementary, middle, and high. Seems that they are near the old arena of Berk, or as records once say: Berk ᛏᚱᛅᚴᚬᚾ training academy. No one knows what the second word is as it is lost in translation.
Looking as we enter the schools are pretty nice, I wonder what they hold.
Hiccup Pov:
As we enter I take note of our surroundings. When the bus stops we get off and I notice alot of people with dogs like us, not me. Mine is a wolf, even if no one else knows, my friends do.
We walk with the crowd into school and follow the guides down to the arena. I guess that instead of having an indoor auditorium we have the arena saving time. I guess this place never really upgraded.
When we get down we all settle into the old wooden seats and wait. About a half our later the entirety of the stands, 125 feet tall and 150 feet wide, is full. I also notice some smaller stands down by the arena with adults.
The chain dome of the arena suddenly opens and we here. "I would like to thank you all for coming to our schools! I am the overviewer of the Elementary, Middle, and High schools of Berk." A singular man in the arena says.
I look around and notice that subconsciously the elementary took the bottom 25 feet, the middle the next 50, and the high the rest. I guess that we have a lot of students here this year, but what did the other years look like?
"Now my name is Thorfinn, and this is my companion Hild. We are in charge of making sure that the schools follow protocol. Here we have the Elementary, Middle, and High principles. Their names are if you already didn't know are as follows. The Elementary school Principal, Loveable Lars, The Middle school Principle, Silent Sven, And finally The High school Principle Old Olaf." The man named Thorfinn says.
From the looks of things him and Hilde are what you would call Superintendents. They watch over school districts and make sure they are keeping up with laws and code. "Now if the people I call would please stay after you all leave to go look at your classes that would be nice. Luisa Dixie, Arne Butler, Lucas Terror, Jackson Olaf, Hailey Hanson, Scott Jorgen, Hudson Olaf, Birger Silver, Ariadne Stone, Eugene Lionheart, Mia Terror, Rome Seven, Emma Olaf, Tuffnut Thorston, Ruffnut Thorston, Elizabeth lioness, Halfdan Newland, Aaron Hamilton, Ayana Dhruv, and Harry Hanson, along with any of their pets."
Why did he have to call us out, then again those might be all the transfers and or orphans. Or stuff Pet related since all of those would be new.
