Finally, my knives are done. David, the blacksmith, contacted me after he's done.
"Oh, it's done earlier than the schedule, right?" I asked after I arrived to the smithy.
"Of course it is. You bribed me. And your bribes made me work harder," David said.
In his hand, he's holding a bottle of champagne that I gifted him before. He's been drinking it seems. I hope he's not drinking when he forged my knife.
Though I heard that there are some people who work harder after drinking. I don't know about David though. It hasn't been long since I met him.
"You do know that I will only gift you more bottles whenever I need something from you from now on, right?" I said.
"…I'll drink this one slowly," David said.
He then told me to wait outside of the smithy while he entered to grab my knives. He returned not long after.
