The next morning, Iris woke up first, after checking the time, it was already 9 am! She sat up startled because she would be late for work!
Theo was still asleep. She tiptoed out of the bedroom, quickly washed up and did a simple makeup, and grabbed her bag to leave. Just as she was about to go out of the house,Theo appeared at the door, groggy-eyed.
Iris walked over to him and gave him a quick morning kiss. "Morning! Find your own breakfast! I'm late for work!" she said hurriedly.
Theo reached out and grabbed Iris, causing her to stumble and fall into his arms. "What's going on?" Iris was startled, a mix of anxiety and annoyance evident on her face as she was running late.
"How are you going to get there?" Theo's voice made it clear that he had just woken up.
"Take a taxi!" Iris didn't hesitate, suggesting a quick solution to her time constraint.
