The grass was prickly beneath his back as he lie there without a single idea what to do with himself. An hour ago, he was a normal high school graduate taking the college entrance exams. But on his way to take the test he was suddenly killed by a speeding truck.
Leave it the faithful truck-kun to cause the situation he was in. What's even more unsettling is the fact that when he died he didn't die. Instead, he found himself in another world when he opened his eyes.
Not just any world, either. This world was based off a very popular kingdom building romance from the Modern world. It was called "Heavenly Maiden Builds Her Sect Alongside the Emperor". And Feng Zhi was a commoner with the same name as his, who only appeared once and was killed by the villain.
If god was trying to punish him then he was doing a great job of it. With a drawn out sigh, Feng Zhi sat up and took a look around. The area was filled with nothing but grass in every direction. There were hardly any signs of life.
Back on Earth, he played this game so much that he managed to beat it several times with many routes unlocked. Unfortunately, he never did reach the highest rank of cultivation even while playing the FL several times.
Since he's already here, why not destroy the death flag and climb to the highest rank possible? He could also build his own sect, find love with a beautiful Waifu, and become the most powerful cultivator ruling the world of cultivation!
He smiled and drooled at the thought of a woman with enormous boobs. But something snapped him out of it. Feng Zhi glanced in the direction he could hear the voices coming from and remembered something important.
Right! Though he's only a commoner who appeared once. He must be here in an unknown place for a reason! He made his way closer to the cliff nearby and peered down to see people wearing the traditional Chinese clothing. They carried with them unlit torches while heading north of the cliff.
Where could they possibly be heading? His curiosity beat his reason as he slowly followed closely behind. After a few hours of following them at a safe distance, he noticed the large rock formation ahead.
A cave of a significant size lied ahead. He was certain that this was not a normal cave. When they entered, Feng Zhi waited before going in after them. Since he was traveling far behind, he did not have to partake in fighting the beast they continued to stumble upon.
He waited behind a wall while watching the group. There was no way to go around them, so he could only wait patiently. They began to move again within an hour. Taking short breaks in between. They finally came to a fissure in the wall.
That's what he remembered they were called in the game. Fissures were like dungeons. Inside, are treasures beyond anyone could imagine. But the downside were the powerful beasts that gaurd these treasures.
The fact that such a thing existed in this cave was a rare chance. But this one looked a bit off. As though someone had already managed to enter it. The fissure was a dark purple hue. This signified that it was being raided as of this moment.
"Who made it here before us? What now?" Someone asked.
"We can only hope they die in the process." Another person says.
Feng Zhi could only wait as well. But then an unknown variable appeared. Actually, it was more like a person with a dark and dangerous aura. The figure floated out of the fissure. Long silver hair cascading down thick broad shoulders.
Strong and gorgeous features followed by golden eyes that glowed slightly. Along with a straight narrow nose and a shapely square jaw. Feng Zhi was at a lost for words. He felt tiny compared to such a person. He exuded such a powerful presence that the whole entire room became hard to breathe in.
Who was he?
If he were a gay then he was certain he'd spread his legs for such a man instantly without shame. "Humans? why have you come here?" The gorgeous man asked.
He even sounded amazing! That deep and rich tone! It was like honey dripping down his spine that he shivered as it reverberated throughout the cave.
Feng Zhi stayed hidden. He was certain that his presence could not be detected when he lacked any cultivation. With everyone distracted by the being floating in the air he took a short route to the fissure. Thankfully there was a few pillars to keep him hidden.
Though what he hadn't expected was the next thing that happened. When he reached out to touch the fissure, there was a reaction. Instead of being able to enter the dungeon he was suddenly flung backwards.
Ah. Shit.
He expected impact but there was none. He opened his eyes to see that he was falling. Beneath him was a crack in the ground and above he could see that man still floating there. But this time their eyes met. It was a fleeting moment.
Feng Zhi slowly closed his eyes once again. Regretting the greed he had as he fell. Seriously. He'll die again and this time there may not be a rebirth. Is what he thought. But why did it feel as though he was no longer falling? Shouldn't he be dead if that's the case?
He opened his eyes again and was greeted with quite the sight. A space glowing a golden hue. He blinked as he notice he was floating while lying down.
There was someone glowing over there.
"A SOUL NOT OF THIS WORLD. FOR YOU TO FALL INTO THIS REALM. IT MUST BE FATE."
Did the glowing person just talk? Wait. That;s not the issue! Where the hell was he?
"YOU ARE IN THE DIVINE REALM OF THIS GODLY PRIMORDIAL BEING. I'M KNOWN AS HUSHU. WHAT IS YOUR NAME, HUMAN?"
Did it just read his mind?
"I DID. I AM THE OWNER OF THIS WORLD. READING YOUR MIND IS ONLY A PART OF WHAT I CAN DO. NOW TELL ME YOUR NAME HUMAN."
"Ah! I am Feng Zhi." He introduced himself immediately.
"FENG ZHI. IS THAT ALSO THE NAME OF YOUR SOUL?'
"Um..yes." He says.
"I SEE. THEN FENG ZHI. AS SOMEONE WHO FELL INTO THIS DIVINE REALM. I SHALL GRANT YOU THE CULTIVATION RANK THAT I HELD DEAR TO."
"Wait. Why?" He asked.
"IT IS BECAUSE OF YOUR PURE SOUL. NO ONE HAS EVER FOUND THIS PLACE. I AM PERISHING. IT IS ONLY RIGHT TO GIVE YOU MY CULTIVATION."
Feng Zhi was at a lost for words. Did he just stumble upon a God? But how!
"THAT IS IRRELEVANT. I DO NOT HAVE MUCH TIME. ALL OF THE ANSWERS THAT YOU SEEK WILL EVENTUALLY UNRAVEL. FENG ZHI, DO YOU ACCEPT MY POWER?"
Ugh! Why not? He could use it.
"THEN I GRANT HALF MY POWER TO YOU, HUMAN FENG ZHI."
The words that were said immediately caused the bright golden light to glow even brighter. It filled the entire space that even he had to cover his eyes. Something burned inside of him. It was so hot that Feng Zhi felt an immense pain within his body.
He fell to his knees while gripping his chest tightly.
"I SEE YOU HAVE NO CULTIVATION BASE. THAT IS FINE. I WILL HAVE TO GIVE YOU ONE."
As if the pain he felt was not enough, it grew even worse. The golden light shout out of him and he then passed out.
A figure appeared from out of nowhere and saw the body lying there.
"WHY HAS THE HEAVENLY DEMONIC GOD ENTERED THIS REALM? YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE!"
The figure stares coldly, "do not fret. I will not harm the newly born Heavenly Gentleman. I only came to greet the Primordial God." the figure spoke.
"YOUR GREETING IS NOT WELCOME. LEAVE THIS PLACE!"
"Should I? If I do that, who will escort this person out safely?"
There was silence.
"I CAN SEE YOU DO NOT LIE. IF YOU HARM ONE HAIR ON HIS HEAD, I WILL FIND AND KILL YOU MYSELF."
"What threatening words. The great Primordial sure is domineering. I won't harm a single hair on his head. I do want compensation from the dying god though."
"WHAT DO YOU WANT?"
"The seed to the Primordial Flower. What do you say?"
There was another silence.
"FINE. I WILL GRANT YOU THE SEED."
The figure used darkness to lift Feng Zhi's body off the ground. "I'm glad we came to a trade. I will safely escort the Heavenly Gentleman from this space. Why don't you die peacefully?" The figure vanished.
The being that glowed no more stood there. His long dark hair flowing behind him. He stared up though there was nothing to look at.
That Demonic God. He must have entered when the Divine Realm weakened. Lets hope he did not make a huge mistake.
New Heavenly Gentleman, you were greater than I thought. I only wanted to lend half of my power, but it seems you drained me of all of it. I can no longer withstand this space. I hope that you can fight beside the Heavenly Maidens to keep this world from suffering even more.
