Asumi, now in the body structure of a rhinoceros beetle, walked to a wall at the north corner, using his horns to scratch the surface of the wall, removing a small layer of sand.
He mused, "This horn is actually very strong." Then he turned and looked at the skill in the system window.
[Traits Extraction: 0/100%]
He questioned the system, "Hey, why is this thing at zero? Does it mean I can't use it again?"
The system responded, [System: In order for the host to use the unique skill, Traits Extraction, the host must consume other insects to charge it up.]
"Fine, for now, it's digging." Then he started digging, using his hands to pull away sand from his path till he eventually got to decayed nutrients, which he consumed.
Then the system prompted, [System: Host has consumed a decayed nutrients + 0.5 Exp.]
Asumi mused, "What happened? That usually gives at least five." He sighed and muttered, "Must be because I've gotten stronger. No matter." He continued his grind, digging a path and consuming as much as he could find.
A few hours later, the morning sun rose from the horizon, casting its warm glows on the forest and trees below. A glimmer of sunlight shone into the hole of Asumi's comrades as he ground to get his revenge.
Deep in the north part of the hole, dark and damp, Asumi stood looking at the system window in dissatisfaction.
[Experience points: 85.5/100]
"Huh? I've been here for hours and I still haven't leveled up," Asumi muttered in frustration. Then a memory flashed through his mind of when he battled the ants.
"Ah, if I want to get stronger, I need to go after insects now. I need to get out of this hole."
Then he turned his face and saw the ray of light coming from outside the hole. He approached it, muttering, "Morning, huh? This is perfect." He smirked.
Coming outside, his eyes slowly adjusted to the contrast, and he looked around, seeing the towering trees and grass all around him.
Now time to find some food. He started walking straight away from the tree until he finally got to a plant. Its leaves were green and lush, and the stem was not too thick.
Asumi looked at the top and saw some insects. They were green, round, with three legs on each side of their bodies, clustered underneath the leaves, feasting on its sap. Asumi mused, "Jackpot," then he walked closer.
Once he reached the point of contact, he placed his six legs on the stem and started climbing. As he reached close to the leaves, Asumi stretched out his front leg to grab one, using his other legs as support.
He missed. The green insect dodged, moving backward before he could grab it. The leaf he hung onto started dangling down. The small green insects, seeing a big threat, immediately migrated to the next leaf.
Using mana to coat their bodies and making a complete camouflage, Asumi, looking at the insects on the next leaf, muttered, "What? It's like they vanished. But that's not going to stop me."
He mused, "This body should have flight options." Then the system prompted, [System: Host, if you are trying to use flight, try tensing your back muscles.]
Asumi muttered, "Oh, okay." Using his legs to propel himself, he leaped, stretching his front leg to try to grab onto the other leaf. His antennae twitched with anticipation.
He tensed his back muscles, but nothing happened. He couldn't reach and fell to the ground, hitting his back on the rough ground. The grass below aided him, cushioning the fall. Asumi, now on the ground, muttered, "Ugh, I'm never trying that again," using his legs, he flipped back on his feet.
Then he raised his gaze, looking at the plant leaves. He tried again, climbing the stem, clawing to the leaves, getting close to the insect. Asumi stretched his leg. The green insect tried to run, adjusting backward, getting close to the edge of the leaf.
"Not this time," Asumi grabbed onto the leaf, stretching his reach even further. Before the insect could escape, he grabbed it.
He sighed in relief as the leaf started to bend. Asumi immediately moved down, retreating to the stem. Holding the insect in his legs, the green little insect squirmed in frustration.
The little green insect muttered, "What's your deal? Why the hell have you been bothering me so badly?"
Asumi, looking at it, felt a little hesitant as he couldn't really understand what it was saying. Then the memory of Gooper and Catherine flashed through his mind. Asumi steeled his resolve and opened his mandibles.
The green insect said, "Wait, what are you doing? Stop!" Asumi pulled the insect close to his mouth, then bit into it, chewing. As he tasted it, he commented, "Wow, it tastes like gummy bears. It's chewy and soft." Then the system prompted:
[System: Host has consumed a Green Aphid + 4 Exp]
[System: Host, the skill Trait Extraction has gained a percent.]
Asumi mused, "Nice, time for another one." And so he continued climbing and hunting down the insects. Eventually, he reached level 9, and the system prompted the upgrade in his movement skill:
[System: Host Advanced Movement skill has reached level 2]
[System: Host can now use the ability Rhino Charge under the Advanced Movement category.]
Asumi muttered, "Alright." He took a bite out of another green insect, but the Exp was low again. He muttered, "Only one Exp, huh? I guess it's time to move on to the next big thing."
He tossed away the remaining body part of the Aphid and started climbing downwards. He muttered, "Just you wait, pesky ant colony. It's only a matter of time before I get my revenge."
......
Let's head back."
The ants in group two joined their rest ants, and together they all marched home to victory, the general leading the troops. She mused, "For some reason, I can't help but feel uneasy."

With his stomach full, he muttered, "I must become stronger."
Asumi spread out his wings and took flight once more, soaring high above the field of towering grass below. "This is only the beginning," he muttered to himself, his gaze fixed on the horizon.
With a final glance back at the grassland, Asumi flew away, on his preparation for his next Battle with blade the one eyed green hunter
