Quentin did not show any expression of either surprise or worry. According to Quentin, Heimrich would eventually realize he could never win against Hildemar.
"W-Weren't you joining this war to help Heimrich?" the soldier asked, gasping as Quentin didn't say a word or show any expression.
"Sir Austen and other businessmen from Heimrich agreed on an alliance deal, but you're making things difficult for us," Quentin replied.
"We could have attacked there, but you made us hesitate," Quentin retorted, explaining his reasoning to the soldier.
"H-Hesitate?" the soldier asked.
"Our representatives went there before, but you didn't respond well. In fact, you rejected our representatives because Helferich is an enemy," said Quentin.
"I-I don't know about—"
"Go and tell your lord. Helferich will not help. Let Heimrich be destroyed and remain a name in the history of the Athalaris Kingdom!" Quentin insisted.
