"Hey, little one."
The man crouched down next to Yamato's chair and tried initiating a convention. He was cut off by Beatrice a moment later though.
"Can I help you?"
"No, not really… I just wanted to introduce myself to him. Is that a problem?"
"It is, actually. Please don't interrupt us again and take your leave now."
He was taken aback by her straightforwardness and forced a smile when he turned around and left. Yamato didn't even get the chance to talk to him. What a pity. He actually would've liked to.
"Why did you tell him to leave like that?"
"Oh, don't worry about it, Young Master. He shouldn't have even went over to us in the first place. You don't need to feel bad for him."
"Okay…"
"Why would I feel bad for him…?"
"Anyway, have you already forgotten about what starts today?"
"Of course not. My fencing and self defense training begins this afternoon. Then I have it daily. But we still have time before that."
"You should get ready now though. Because I need to attend to different matters now and unless you want to sit out here alone, you could use your time to get ready."
"Alright fine, I'll go now…"
After reluctantly agreeing to prepare for fencing and self defense classes early, he left the table and Beatrice cleaned up before going afger her other duties. Leaving Yamato on his own. After arriving early at their private training room, his treacher was already waiting for him. As far as Yamato could observe, he was relatively old. In his 50's or 60's at least. But he didn't seem weak. Looking at his stature he was probably abive average height and although he had long sleeves, his arms seemed muscular through the fabric. He was patiently sitting on the ground in a training suit with his hands on his thighs. Next to him there was another man. In his 20's, about average height, well trained but not as well as the older one.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Sir. I will be training you in fencing and self defense classes from now on to the foreseeable future. My name is Lambert Cree, but you may adress me as you like. I'm looking forward to teach you and see your progress. To my left is my assistant, he will support you in your training and take over in case of my absence."
The younger one bowed slightly but didn't say anything.
"I'm Yamato. I will just call you Mr. Clee, if that's alright with you."
"As you wish. I was told you weren't looking for conventional fencing and self defense?"
"I don't need you to teach me something I could look up online, yes."
"I see… in that case you will find that I have just the right training for you. I see you already do physical exercises to train your body?"
"I would describe myself as 'fit', yes."
"Would you mind if I test your physical ability first, to make a proper assessment of how to train you?"
"Please do."
Mr. Cree waved his hand at which the man next to him stood up and faced Yamato. He was about twice as big as Yamato, but Yamato just stared at him with a blank expression.
"How about a little sparring match? Everything is allowed. If you want to end it just tap on the ground twice."
"Fine by me. What if I hurt him?"
"Oh, I doubt you will. But if so, that won't be a problem."
The young man just looked down towards Yamato, he didn't seem as though he took him seriously. Which annoyed Yamato.
"We start on my signal. The winner is determined by knockout or if the opponent gives up. Should one party show a clear sign of resignation, the other party must stop all their actions immediately. Although this is just to evaluate your abilities, please take it seriously."
"Okay."
"Now. Three… two… one… Go!"
The young man tried to kick against Yamato's leg, thinking he was just going to make it quick. But to his and Mr. Clee's surprise, Yamato kicked against his kick to block it. It didn't just cancel out the young man's kick, it had even more force behind it and threw him slightly off balance. But due to the size difference he was able to easily catch himself and attempted to punch Yamato in the stomach. Yamato grabbed his arm and turned it with the motion, to then throw him over his back. But now to Yamato's surprise, it didn't go down like that. The young man wasn't pulled over Yamato's shoulder and instead stood just in place. Both of them seemed surprised by the other for a moment, they just stood still in their motion with Yamato grabbing onto the young man's fist on his extended arm. Yamato was the first to start attacking again, as he pulled himself up on the young man's arm, realizing if he couldn't move him he could use him as an immovable object. He pulled himself up in a turning motion where he pulled his head backwards to move his lower body up and use the yong mans arm as a bar to swing on. He also started to kick the young man in the turning motion against his leg, stomach, chest and face while moving his lower body up. All this happened in just one second and once his foot reached the young man's face, he pushed himself of from it with one last kick to make a backflip and gain distance from the young man, who seemed completely overwhelmed by Yamato's agility, which was only possible due to their size difference.
Now having a bit distance between each other, Yamato wanted to attack again once he found another opening. But the young man seemed to get more defensive now. He also did not seem bothered by getting kicked in the face, which was no surprise since there wasn't that much force behind them and they merely served as a distraction to allow Yamato to move away.
Once Yamato noticed that the young man was going to play on defense, he immediately went closer again and started to punch him from multiple angles, with little effect. Yamato suddenly felt a sharp pain in his leg. Exactly at the spot where he previously blocked the young man's kick. There seemed to be a lot more behind that kick than previously met the eye. He lost balance for a moment, which the young man used to push him to the ground and pin him down. With no way to get free, Yamato tapped on the ground and gave up.
