"What made him come here?" Someone questioned me, and it didn't go unnoticed by me. My assistant glared angrily at them before walking in.
He shifted in his chair and stood up when he saw us. His looks indicated that he was stressed and horribly worried about the file. I smiled at him a bit before walking up to his chair. Understanding my intentions, he walked aside, giving me space to sit in his chair.
"Have you ever given your key to someone?" My assistant, Ralph., questioned him.
"Hmm," he hummed in response, thinking something. After five minutes, he said,
"I didn't give my keys to anyone. But a week ago, they went missing suddenly, which made me tense. However, I don't know how they ended up at my table again. I searched the whole cabin three times before checking my car," he explained.
"Hmm, that's how the project's file was tarnished. Somebody got your keys and made a duplicate," Ralph explained the whole scene to him, which made him open his eyes wide in shock.
"So, the culprit is one of them but who was that?" He thought about it, wondering who it would be. Because every employee in here works with a high level of sincerity and never ever does that lead to trust issues.
"We will handle it. You don't have to worry about it. For now, you just behave like you don't know anything and are in tension," Ralph suggested.
"Then what if they do this again? How can I protect everything if I can't take any important ongoing project files home with me?" He was hell-worried about the safety of the upcoming projects, which made me glance at him.
"Nothing would happen. In just two days, we will sort out everything." Don't start any new projects until then," Ralph informed him of what he has to do and what he can't do. After listening to Ralph, the manager just nodded his head, indicating that he understood everything and assuring us that he would follow our orders.
"Great," Ralph said, and I looked at the manager with an evil smirk.
"It's been long since I paid a visit to this department, right? Come, let's go and have some fun with employees," I said, standing up with a smile dancing at the corner of my lips.
"Ok, sir," the manager replied, and Ralph was more excited than me.
"It's been long since we had some fun. Let's have some fun seeing the sweat beads on their foreheads," Ralph added, to which I smiled, and the manager was even more shocked by hearing his words. He is the only one who can crack these kinds of words in front of me, compared to everyone else.
"What happened? Why are you looking at me like that?" Ralph questioned the manager.
"I never thought that you loved seeing people scared of you. I always thought you were the best one with a silent nature," the manager replied, to which I burst out in laughter. After a few minutes, I controlled myself, and when I looked out casually, I noticed that every employee was trying to peek inside, and I already knew the reason behind their curiosity. If they have never seen me smiling, then how can they miss the chance to see me laughing like this?
I slowly stood up from my chair, and without making a sound, I moved towards the door. Ralph was about to walk quickly and open the door for me, but I gestured for him to stop and not make any noise with my hand, and they both looked at me with a puzzled face.
I winked at them and suddenly opened the door, causing everyone to clatter. They were shocked to see me in front of them, so I glanced at them with my cold, sharp eyes.
"Ralph, this month no employee from this department is going to receive their salary this month," I ordered without diverting my gaze away from them. I could hear the gasps of those people, and I could feel many employees' hands shivering with fear.
"Ok," Ralph answered, and I walked away from there. I know what's happening there now, and I'm sure Ralph won't be able to make it to our floor for at least the next thirty minutes. So I went back to my floor and waited for Ralph. After exactly thirty minutes, he was back to my cabin, groaning and huffing in anger, which made me smirk.
I whispered a glass of water toward him, saying, "Have this glass of water first. So you can relax, but curse them again."
He looked at him with his eyes, trying to commit an innocent act in front of me. He whined, "Why do you always do this with me?"
I scrunched my eyebrows at him, saying, "What did I do?" You are the one who always entertains them."
"So, you always make me a scapegoat there? How was it possible, and why did you leave it that way, creating chaos in the entire department? Only because of that, they were landed in this condition," he added, to which I rolled my eyes and replied,
"How can't I laugh when I hear such comments about you? Who said you are innocent and don't behave like a devil? When I understood how cruel you are,
"See, who is talking, hehe? You are saying that you are too innocent and will never do anyone harm to anyone. It was said that if we roamed with someone for six months, we would get their habit, and I've been roaming with you for more than a decade, so how can't I? He added, "If I am devil tgheb, you are a paranormal character," he added.
"Hmm, isn't it good that I am some paranormal one with handsome human features?" As I spoke, he rolled his eyes in response.
"By the way, how is the work going on? Did you acquire most of the shares, as I said?" I switched from my relaxing mode, to professional mode, and he nodded his head.
"Great, let's pay a visit today." I stood up from my chair, grabbing the coat.
