Everly
Everly was breaking the hands of men who dared to touch Kelly. Even when she got hit on the head, she didn't turn to see who it was or stop herself from punishing them. After incapacitating all the men, Everly glanced towards the head of the gang, who was looking at her with wide, open eyes. Eevrly stood up with the force of a thunderstorm and pounced on him like a lion eyeing its prey. She jumped on him and held his neck in her hands. Blood is flowing down from her head, but she isn't caring about it. Her nails digged into his neck and she looked at him with her cold eyes.
"How dare you take this step? How dare you touch my friend? How dare you invade my privacy and how dare you play tricks? How dare you enter my home?" She screamed out of her lungs and started punching him in the face. The head wanted to pull out his knife but Everly was a bit ahead of him. He pulled the knife from the collar of her jacket and started crisscrossing his face.
"Ahh, I am sorry. Please leave me," he started pleading. He could feel the blood on his face and the pain became unbearable. Eevrly isn't in a mood to entertain him or let him go because of his pleas.
"Everly, I am sorry. Oio won't ever dare do anything about this. Please leave me," he begged and hearing his pleading, Everly let out a sinister laugh.
"You said something when I came here, right? Where are those prideful remarks, mnow?" Evarly questioned herself as she carved intricate designs into her arms with her knife. She felt a sharp blow to her head, and then she heard,
"Oh, he is never wrong. He is always right, baby."
Everly immediately recognized her voice. She let that leader skip from her hands and turned around, only to see her best friend Kelly standing with an iron rod in her hands. There was no tenderness in her eyes nor could she find any love in it. Only she can; there is hatred and anger in Kelly's eyes.
"Kelly!" An exclamation escaped Everly's lips and her eyes turned wide. For the first time in her life, she is feeling the pain of backstabbing. His heart is twisting with the pain of Kelly's betrayal.
"Yes, I am Kelly. Do you have any doubt?" Kelly sat cross-leg in front of Everly and then played with the rod in her hand.
"How can you do this? Don't you know what he did to you and how can you do this to me? How can you betray your best friend? How did you get this heart to berate me?" Everly questioned.
"Ahhh! Cut the scap, Everly. This is a fight and until you are my love, I won't be able to get whatever I want," Kelly sneered.
"What do you want?" Everly questioned. Even though she knows what Kelly means somewhere deep down in her heart, she wants to hear whatever she is thinking is just her imagination.
"Don't play innocent, Everly. I know you already know what I want, and yes, I want your power and seat. Since the very first day, I have had my sights set on it, and I have always wanted it. In which way are you greater than me? You are just a point more than me; it doesn't mean that I have to spend my whole life under your arms as your assistant. I don't want to be your right hand. I want to rule this world and I want to get the respect you are getting right now," Kelly spat out in her words.
"In which did I make less for you? Everyone respects you the way they do; everyone bows to you, scares of you, and you get everything." always pointed out.
"I want everything in the sense of not only respect but also fairness. I need the power you possess; I want everyone to obey my orders and I want my decision to be final," Kelly said.
"You are nothing more than a snake that I have been caring for up until this point. I have been caring for her up until this point. Which I have protected till now under my wing. If you needed the power, you could have asked me directly, and KI would have given it to you without any second thought," Everly said with a lot of pain in her heart. However, she refused to express her suffering in any way, whether through tears or words.
"Yeah, I know; you would gift me it with just my word. But I don't want your sacrifice. I wanted to snatch it with my whole willpower, and I did it," Kelluy said.
"You would be punished for this," Evelyn said, pulling out her gun and pointing towards Kelly. Even before Everly could press the trigger, Kelly pulled her gun out and shoved Everly straight into her stomach. Everly crumpled to the ground, her gaze fixed on Kelly.
"I am sorry to do this but I have to do that and I have to do this. Have a nice journey," Kelly said, walking away from her. Kelly didn't even turn her head back, at least once. After moving a few steps ahead, Kelly turned towards the head of the gang and shook her hands, saying,
"You really did a great job today. Even though you are hurt, you helped me achieve what I wanted for so long."
"I don't need your thanks, but don't forget the promise you have given me," the man said, to which Kelly ran her finger on his cheek with a sneaky smile, saying,
"I won't ever. You will get your reward soon but for that, treat yourself. I will send my doctor to your place."
"Hmm, yeah," he said with lust in his eyes. Then Kelly moved in her direction. Everly looked at Kelly before closing her eyes and letting the darkness engulf her.
