Elder Xing replied "Of course, this stone never made an error neither do I." then he continued "It's been a while since we had an A-talent youngster like you."
Without any more explanation, Elder Xing took out a while scroll which he had never taken out before, and gestured He Chin to come closer and sign his name on it. As He Chin walked over slowly, Elder Xing said "You got an A-talent, so obviously we won't treat you badly and you could come to me if you encounter any troubles that could endanger your life without a chance to fight back."
After He Chin signed his name using his red blood on the scroll, the same things happened but this time instead of a two-wings bird appearing, a four-wings bird popped up behind Elder Xing back and flew beautifully onto He Chin's shoulder.
He Chin seeing this was startled, but he didn't dare to ask any questions. Elder Xing managed to read his curious expression and explained kindly to him "This bird is called the future bird by our organization, given to those who can take our organization to the next stage, this bird couldn't be called an animal anymore but a soul beast."
Elder Xing continued "As for what soul beast is, I won't explain that to you, you will know when you get stronger, as for this soul beast capability? That will be up to you to explore it, but keep in mind that the specialty of this beast is its intelligence, its intelligence surpasses any of the ordinary beasts like the two-wings bird that most people get.
So if you have any questions just ask the future bird, now that's it, I wish you luck on your journey toward greatness." After, he gestured for He Chin to keep moving on. The bird that was observing smartly saw this, it flew up slowly, giving time for He Chin to catch up.
He Chin bowed down and expressed his gratitude awkwardly in a hurry, and left to follow the future bird.
Elder Xing didn't call up the last person but kept glancing in the direction of He Chin while muttering something to himself silently as if he had forgotten about the existence of Zheng Lin. Zheng Lin being the last person to have his talent test just stood there quietly not daring to disturb him.
After He Chin had completely gone from his sight, he turned to Zheng Lin and told him to come up and get his talent tested.
Zheng Lin who was called out as the last person, walked up slowly to the stone.
It's finally my turn... Will I be as lucky as He Chin?
But no matter what the results as long as I have the talent to cultivate, I will gladly accept it with both hands.
Just please... Don't let the result of my talent turn out to be talentless...
Without realizing it, he had arrived next to the stone, but then a question struck him. What was the purpose of the stone next to it? Why does it just stand there and not have anything to do with us?
But soon he just decided to just ignore it, that stone had nothing to do with him, only the stone close to him would determine his fate. Unlike everybody else who closed their eyes when touching the stone, Zheng Lin chose to have his eyes wide and opened ready to face his fate, no matter how harsh is it.
Elder Xing who was lost in his thoughts suddenly came back to his mind, and a look of approval flashed in his eye yet he didn't make any comment and just stared at Zheng Lin and the stone with interest.
A moment later a symbol appeared on the stone, Elder Xing took a quick glance and said "You got B-talent, not bad, not bad, especially with your character, I'm sure you will be able to go farther than any other people just now after all talent isn't everything."
Zheng Lin heard the news, and his eyes brightened up immediately, he was so happy that he just wanted to laugh out loud right now but seeing that Elder Xing was still here, he held himself back and waited for Elder Xing to hand over the contract.
Elder Xing sighed deeply and said in a low voice "If only those talented people had the same character as you... but it can't be helped." then he handed over a contract to Zheng Lin.
Upon holding the contract in his hand, Instead of biting his hand and signing the contract with his blood quickly, Zheng Lin took his time and read the words written in the contract one by one.
On it, a lot of terms were written, like you're not allowed to harm the organization by any means whether it's directly or indirectly...
You're not allowed to talk nor share any info related to the organization to anyone regardless of their relationship to you...
...
...
...
After reading all of these terms, Zheng Lin only has one thought in his mind, the slave contract. This contract will last for 10 years and for those who go against it or break any one of these written rules, a suitable punishment from heaven will befallen on them depending on the seriousness of their crime.
It was not written on the contract what would happen to those who luckily survived until then, but one thing that he was sure of was, that it would be anything but good. Because after 10 years, who knew how far or how high you would have reached in the organization?
By that time, you would know too much which would make just your existence alone a threat to them, so who would leave a time bomb that could possibly go off at any given time when they could just get rid of it?
So Zheng Lin secretly made up his mind to find a way out of these hellish places as soon as possible. One more thing that he wondered about was the punishment coming from heaven, but he couldn't find the answer to that for the time being, so he could only put it at the back of his mind.
