The Qinglong Dojo's sparring training area was vast, and its roof could be opened or closed at will; all the materials used were capable of withstanding professional-level battles.
There were fewer apprentices in the dojo than Fang Yuan had imagined, but the average age was surprisingly high.
"Qinglong Dojo, I remember it's a dojo that doesn't take in-school students as apprentices," recalled Fang Yuan.
This meant that the strength of the dojo apprentices would be very formidable.
Among them, there were likely graduates from major universities, training here to become Professional Trainers.
When Yun Miao and Fang Yuan arrived, a few people noticed them, but perhaps due to the dojo's rules, the apprentices continued to focus intently on their battle training without greeting the Sect Leader.
"Roar~~!" "Bwoo-yah~droo~" "Beep-touch~" "Grrlubba~" "Mmm-err~"
In the Qinglong Dojo's sparring training area, Fang Yuan feasted his eyes on many Dragon Type spirits... what ghosts.
Although it was called a Dragon Type Dojo, none of the spirits on the battlefields, Armored Tyrannosaurus... Seadra... Kingdra... Charizard... Ampharos...
All contained the word "dragon," yet not a single one was of the Dragon Type.
Do you dare to bring out a true, fully evolved Dragon Attribute spirit?
Naming it Dragon Type Dojo, but in reality, it's a mixed series dojo?
However, there weren't completely absent of Dragon Types, there were a few like Kingdra, Dragonair, Decidueye to be seen.
"How about it?" Yun Miao asked after taking Fang Yuan on a tour.
"Very impressive," Fang Yuan stated honestly. Although there were a bunch of pseudo-dragon types, the strength of the Qinglong Dojo apprentices couldn't be denied.
Randomly pull out one apprentice, and it was estimated they could compete with the instructors from the Wind Fist Flow Dojo where he had studied—a fifty-fifty match.
From the sparring interactions of these apprentices, it was clear that they all qualified to be called Senior Trainers.
And a few individual spirits had reached the professional level; no wonder Qinglong Dojo was a top-tier dojo, even the apprentices were this strong.
"How about a battle to check it out?" Master Yun Miao said buoyantly.
The purpose of bringing Fang Yuan here was to assess his strength.
If Fang Yuan's abilities weren't up to standard, even if he had been recommended by Xie Qingyi and Yun Kai, he would still refuse Fang Yuan access to Dragon Island.
Yun Miao knew the difficulty of the Dragon Island trials, which even very experienced trainers found challenging, let alone an Elves Researcher.
"Sure..." Fang Yuan scratched his head. The strength of the apprentices at Qinglong Dojo was better than he had imagined, so a battle wouldn't be out of the question.
Fang Yuan said, "I haven't had a battle in quite some time..."
Indeed, it had been nearly a month since Fang Yuan last battled after the fighting tournament, as he had been nurturing his Pokemon during this time.
The main reason for not battling was that he couldn't find an opponent in Pingcheng, and even in Demon Capital University, he could hardly find a suitable opponent unless he bothered the Combat Series instructors.
However, ever since Fang Yuan swept through Emperor Capital University and tied with Master Level Trainer Zhuang Rui using a Self-detonating Magnetic Monster during his training in the Muhai Mountain Range, hardly any Demon Capital University teacher was willing to have a formal battle with him anymore, and the main and deputy captains of the school team also avoided him...
Addressing issues raised by Fang Yuan was still OK, but a serious battle, out of the question.
In Demon Capital University, Master Level Trainers like Divine Dragons were elusive, and Fang Yuan truly had no match.
"Then I'll find you a Trainer who's about your age," Yun Miao said with a smile, leading Fang Yuan toward a battle arena.
Among a group of relatively mature young Trainers, there was a young man in his early twenties.
This young man sported a spiky haircut and had a sharp, serious look in his eyes during battle. He was currently commanding a Dragonair against his opponent.
Opposite the Dragonair was a Decidueye.
This Dragonair, skilled in dominating with Hail weather and Ice-based Moves, did not at all resemble a typical Dragon Type Pokemon, forcing the Decidueye into retreat.
Feeling the might of the Hail, Fang Yuan understood that this Dragonair's control over snowy conditions was practiced; just by this skill alone, one could tell that the young man was formidable.
One minute later, the outcome was decided, with the Decidueye frozen into an ice sculpture, and the Dragonair won with ease.
"Guan Cheng," Yun Miao called out.
At the end of the battle, when Yun Guancheng was shaking hands with his opponent, he looked over upon hearing the call.
"Uncle Yun, what's the matter?" Yun Guancheng walked over in confusion, his gaze shifting to Fang Yuan who stood behind Yun Miao.
"I've found you a sparring partner. Your next battle training will be against him," Yun Miao said with a smile. "This is Fang Yuan, a sophomore at Demon Capital University, introduced by Fairy Queen Xie Qingyi."
"This is Yun Guancheng; he previously studied on the Road of Champions, and is currently an Apprentice at the Qinglong Dojo."
As Yun Miao introduced them, Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng looked at each other and smiled.
Fang Yuan thought, surname Yun and calling Yun Miao 'Uncle Yun' likely means he's related to the line of Dragon Trainers. The Road of Champions is also not a new name to Fang Yuan; Jiang Ran, the sister of the Champion of the Four Heavenly Kings, Jiang Li, had gone there to learn, as well as the Psychic Xu Jing from the Heavenly Heart Dojo.
Fang Yuan already regarded Yun Guancheng as a professional Trainer.
Similarly, upon hearing Yun Miao link Fang Yuan with Fairy Queen Xie Qingyi, Yun Guancheng also became serious. Although Fang Yuan seemed young, a Fairy type beating a Dragon type could certainly happen. Was Fang Yuan also a Fairy type Trainer?
"Hello," Yun Guancheng reached out to Fang Yuan, saying politely.
"Hello," Fang Yuan extended his hand and shook hands with him.
"Xie Qingyi's junior?? This is going to be good..." Off to the side, the Apprentice who had just finished battling with Yun Guancheng lit up upon overhearing their conversation, mumbling to himself.
The Qinglong Dojo was swept by Xie Qingyi alone, and the Apprentices there somewhat held a grudge. However, it wasn't a deep hatred, because who would antagonize a beautiful King like Xie Qingyi? Not only did she not get viewed with hostility, but she even gathered a group of fans in the Qinglong Dojo, which birthed a number of Dragon Series Defectors...
This... was the real headache for Master Yun Miao.
Yun Miao called out to the excited Apprentice, "Go and tell the others, after the battle they can come here to watch."
"Yes!" The Apprentice immediately scurried off to gather an audience.
Meanwhile, Fang Yuan and Yun Guancheng had taken their positions on either side of the arena. Before the battle started, Fang Yuan placed his heavy backpack on the ground at his feet.
"Bwoo??" "Rotom..." Inside the backpack, Eevee unzipped a little to sneak a peek, then quickly zipped it back up. A battle... doesn't concern it.
However, while Eevee peeked out, the smartphone Rotom became anxious.
"Rotom! Requesting backup, Rotom!!"
