On the other side, a rescue team comprising Batman, Constantine, Superman, and Victor arrived at Shiller's mansion. They weren't there to investigate a clue, they came to borrow something.
Butler Merkel received them. After knowing Shiller's condition, Merkel allowed them to enter the mansion. Constantine's target was the bottle of liquor on the bookshelf in the living room.
This bottle of liquor had knocked down many people. Constantine and Merkel both fell for this bottle, they were once dragged into dreams. But now, it had become a shortcut for them into the Kingdom of Dreams.
If they were to fall asleep and dream on their own, they couldn't gather in the consciousness space. After all, Gotham doesn't currently have someone like Professor X, who could combine their brainwaves directly and let them meet in a dream.
If they were to sleep on their own, Batman could enter the Kingdom of Dreams through the hole at the bottom of his consciousness. But the others didn't have such a passage. And, gathering in the Kingdom of Dreams wasn't a good idea, as they might face danger and be defeated one by one.
Therefore, their plan was to enter dreams together by using Mad Liquor first. After entering the same dream space, they could then move downwards into the Kingdom of Dreams, which would be safer this way.
The effects of the Mad Liquor were powerful. The moment Constantine opened the bottle, everyone entered the dream, while Merkel in the real world carried them to the couch in the living room.
In the dream, they should have appeared in a room in Shiller's Thought Palace just like the real-world living room. However, the moment they entered the dream, they started to fall and landed on the ground like dumplings being dropped into water.
As they staggered to their feet with a woozy head, they looked up to see a huge ship docked next to them, and a row of Shillers peered at them from the deck.
"Oh my god, we found Professor Shiller!" Clark stood up first, waved towards the ship and said, "Hey, Professor, what are you doing here? Why aren't you returning to the real world? We are worried about you!"
Batman stood up, rubbing his head, and looked at the row of Shillers, until he saw a green-haired figure. Joker Jack "plop" jumped from the ship and crashed in front of Batman.
He thudded over to Batman, laughing uproariously, saying while laughing, "Batman! Have you heard such a hilarious joke? Someone lost his own house, so he couldn't return to the real world! And had to rely on Batman to save him, hahaha!!"
Batman bypassed the Joker, climbed the ladder next to the ship and found a Shiller in a doctor's uniform among many Shillers on the ship. At that time, Marvel Shiller was sitting at the edge of the deck, looking at the boundless white space, pondering where his home went.
Before executing this plan, DC Shiller didn't tell all the Shillers what he was going to do. All the Shillers on the ship just wanted to get some fresh air, so they didn't know why their home disappeared or where it ended up.
"Don't look at me, I don't know anything," Marvel Shiller shook his head. Now, he was still in a state of confusion as he said, "I just returned by ship and saw that the entire tower was gone."
"Gone? How did it disappear?" Constantine stepped forward and asked.
"It was... submerged by... a crowd of cats." When Marvel Shiller said this, he found it a bit unbelievable, he could only repeat: "It was suddenly submerged by a crowd of cats."
Batman narrowed his eyes, apparently disbelieving, and his facial expression clearly said, "even if you are making up a story, make it more realistic". But Constantine suddenly said, "The Thousand Cats' Dream. It should be The Thousand Cats' Dream."
Then, Constantine narrated an ancient legend to the others: "It is said that in ancient times on Earth, cats ruled. At that time, the human race wasn't flourishing, but cats had already developed tribes and built cities. Moreover, they became the masters of humans and ordered humans to construct various landscapes for them."
"To free themselves from this slavery, humans joined together to create a Dream of a Thousand People, overlaying reality with dreams. In the dream, humans became the masters of Earth, while cats became servants."
"But this dream didn't completely cover all of reality, leaving certain traces. For instance, the culture of Egyptians worshipping cats is one of the evidence supporting this legend."
"However, the cat tribe never gave up on reversing this situation. When a thousand cats have the same dream, they can return to that glorious era. And The Thousand Cats' Dream represents the dream of cats."
"The dream god is the representative of dreams. Therefore, he naturally has control over The Thousand Cats' Dream. I guess, there must have been an accident when Morpheus visited Shiller's Thought Palace, which led to his uncontrolled release of The Thousand Cats' Dream."
"The Thousand Cats' Dream represents the dream of cats. Shiller's Thought Palace probably got pulled into the dream of cats."
