Chapter 549 - Chapter 373: The Avengers 1: Split (Part 3)_3

The pitch-black hallway was only dimly lit by flickering shadows. In this moment, the roles had been reversed - the mysterious figure knocking at the door at midnight had become the protagonist of a horror movie while the owner of Jiagao Sanatorium became the monster that could appear at any moment.

Shiller had no intention of having a private chat with this unwelcome visitor. He pulled out his phone and dialed Stark and Steve.

Every problem he could find was thrown onto these two. As long as they were dealing with enough troubles, they surely wouldn't have time to quarrel.

With this principle in mind, Shiller first called them and then appeared at the end of the hallway, face to face with the figure in the black cloak.

The figure sized up Shiller, who was dressed in a set of pajamas, and oddly, held a black umbrella in his hand. The cloaked figure started to speak, her raspy female voice echoing through the dark corridor.

"Are you 'the Doctor'?"

"I am indeed a psychiatrist."

"You don't have to beat around the bush with me, I'm also a member of Hydra, only I come from the Hive,"

Shiller remained silent. He didn't seem to want to ask questions, so the atmosphere fell into an eerie silence. After a while, the mysterious, cloaked figure, self-proclaimed from the Hive, had to speak for herself:

"The Hydra that you joined is a branch of ours. The Hive Hydra has powers far beyond your imagination, and now, we need fresh blood...

"Originally, we had high hopes for your superior, Alexander Pierce, but he is too old. We have ways to rejuvenate him but he is not worth it."

"We have been observing the entire Hydra Organization, selecting talented individuals to join us, and based on your performance during the past time, you have won a ticket…"

"And if I refuse?" asked Shiller.

"No matter, very soon, you will understand the greatness of the Hive."

As she spoke, the sinister cloaked woman suddenly removed her hood. Shiller saw a Caucasian woman, her forehead marked with a large Hydra symbol. She opened her mouth, and an unknown object flew out and hovered in front of her.

With a "bang," the window glass behind Shiller shattered, and Iron Man's Mecha flew in. He looked at the woman in the cloak and asked, "Who are you? Why are you here?"

Steve also came up the stairs. Shiller turned to Stark and asked, "Did you come together?"

"No!" "That's right!", they replied in unison.

Shiller was about to mock their relationship when he suddenly had a thought. He opened the umbrella with a "bang," and a tiny injector, resembling a bee, hit the umbrella at high speed. If it wasn't for the umbrella, it would have hit Shiller.

Shiller's expression didn't change. From the moment the woman opened her mouth, he knew she would use a hidden weapon.

But what happened next exceeded his expectations.

The injector suddenly turned into a rotary blade, emitting an extremely intense hum. Then, with a "sizzle" sound...it sliced through the umbrella.

A large slit appeared across the black umbrella, and a small part of it fell off, leaving only the bare ribs of the umbrella exposed.

Shiller paid no mind to the needle sticking in his shoulder. He simply stared blankly at his new umbrella, which had been torn apart after just a few days.

Steve and Stark both had a feeling that something bad was about to happen. Soon enough, they discovered that their feeling was spot on.

Because all of a sudden, Shiller froze, as if no consciousness controlled his body.

A few seconds later, a sparkle returned to his eyes. However, with the return of consciousness, came an insane, terrifying smile.

"Listen, I have a plan..." His voice filled with suppressed giggles.

"I call it...Hydra's downfall! Hahahahahahahahahahaha!"
