"Hey! Shiller, what's wrong with you?!!"
Stark turned his head to look at Shiller, but he didn't see him. Instead, he saw a floating gray mist. Stark watched as the gray mist suddenly dispersed and then directly enveloped the cloaked woman, pulling her backwards and flying away through a shattered window.
Stark and Steve looked at each other. Steve opened his mouth and hesitated before asking: "...Did Shiller abduct her?"
"Isn't it more likely that she kidnapped Shiller?" Stark also hesitated a bit before responding.
"But..."
"Just now, it was Shiller who called us to tell us that there were enemies here, so it should be him who was kidnapped by the enemies, right?" Stark continued.
"But clearly..." Steve wanted to say something else, but he paused before adding, "Alright, Shiller has no reason to kidnap her, otherwise why would he call us to come here? Maybe Doctor Shiller was controlled by her..."
"We have to figure out a way to save him." Stark touched his chin and continued: "Did you just hear that? That horrible laughter... it gave me chills..."
Steve nodded and said, "Absolutely, maybe there's something wrong with whatever that person planted on Shiller... Yes, it must be right! After the syringe hit Doctor Shiller, he started acting abnormal..."
Steve frowned, his expression showing a hint of anxiety, and added, "We need to rescue Shiller as soon as possible, or he might be in danger."
Stark pressed a button on his forearm and said, "Let's go back first, we need to start by checking the information that Shiller gave us."
"After Shiller had Peter deliver that information to us, a mysterious person attacked him. This could be Hydra trying to cover their tracks." After speaking, Steve jumped out from the window frame to land on the balcony. He turned back to Stark and added, "I understand that you're still angry at me. I admit it's my fault Peter got hurt..."
Stark also flew out of the window. Hovering in mid-air and turning back to glance at Steve, he said, "We can discuss apologies later. We still have a score to settle."
Elsewhere, the mysterious cloaked woman who was transported out of the hospital grounds by the gray mist was set down in a dark alley. Shiller rematerialized into human form, except now he wore a grinning joker mask. Before the woman could speak, he berated her: "You imbecile! You nearly blew my cover!"
"I've worked hard to infiltrate the Superhero Squad organized by S.H.I.E.L.D, a secret program containing all of New York's significant superheroes, including our archenemies, Captain America and Iron Man..."
"With the organization losing so many people recently, I had no choice but to come forward and address these issues. They've both been watching me. And you, like some foolish grasshopper, jumped right in front of me. If I hadn't reacted quickly, both of us could have been captured by them!"
Suppressed anger was evident in Shiller's tone, which left the cloaked woman somewhat taken aback. She responded, "I didn't know..."
"You knew nothing, yet dared to find me?! I truly don't understand what makes you all so confident."
"Perhaps one Captain America isn't enough to make you cautious. But what about adding Iron Man, Stark? What about S.H.I.E.L.D's Director Nick Fury? Or even the alien races and mutants you don't know about?"
The cloaked woman frowned and said, "It seems you know more than I thought. So, what is this plan? I mean, you mentioned a Superhero Squad plan."
"I don't want to explain too much to you, and I have no wish to join your foolish organization. I have a far more important mission."
With that, Shiller turned to leave, but the woman stopped him, saying, "Wait! The nanobug injector is still lodged in your shoulder. You need to properly treat the wound or risk infection."
Shiller glanced at the small syringe in his shoulder and swiftly pulled it out. The barbs tore off some of his flesh, but it healed quickly. He threw the syringe back at the woman and said, "Have you still not realized? We are alike. Don't compare me to those frail humans."
"That's precisely why you should join us!" The woman stepped in front of him, introducing, "My name is Jacqueline. I am a senior agent of the Hive Hydra organization and one of the top candidates for hosting a Hive organism."
"Before that, let me first ask you, where did your special abilities come from? Are they innate?" Jacqueline asked, staring into Shiller's eyes. He glanced back at her and said, "I'm a mutant. Is there a problem?"
Jacqueline smiled and said, "It seems, I've stumbled upon a treasure. You meet all the requirements to become a senior agent."
"Listen, this is possibly the most valuable opportunity of your life, to merge with that great entity..."
"Next, I'll tell you about the great entity known as the Hive..."
Back at the Avengers Base, Stark displayed information about the Hive on the projection screen. He pointed at a section with a laser pointer, saying, "Look at this here. The story of Hive's origin. A high-ranking Hydra leader revealed that the Hive is an experiment from an advanced extraterrestrial civilization..."
