Chapter 310 - Chapter 199 Why are you so proficient? (Part 3) _1

Peter was startled, then shouted towards the door, "Stop it! You can't do this, they're terrified...stop it now..."

When he saw that the people outside didn't react at all, Peter looked around one more time. He ran to the corner and told the purple goo, "Hurry, possess me, I'll get you out!"

The symbiote had no option to hide. It crawled onto Peter's arm again. In an instant, the Purple Spiderman reappeared. He slammed hard into the glass observation window, shattering it. The whole building trembled for a moment.

Drake sidestepped, his face utterly undisturbed. He took out his phone and pressed a few buttons, remarking, "He's on the loose again, initiate emergency protocols!"

Spiderman rushed to the door of the room and saw numerous armed personnel storming towards him. The purple symbiote told Peter, "Run! They will kill you!"

Looking at the dark muzzles of their guns, Peter said, "Don't panic, I've done this before!"

Saying so, he reached towards the wall but froze. The armed personnel facing him also froze, unsure what he was up to.

In his mind, Peter said helplessly, "Every time I make this gesture, could you please cooperate and shoot out a spiderweb?"

"Spiderweb? What's that?"

Peter explained, "It's when you turn your goo into a thin but strong spiderweb that sticks to the wall, allowing me to swing across."

"What??... Okay, I'll try my best!"

Within an instant, the armed personnel opened fire. Peter sprinted forward, reached out his hand towards the wall, and a strand of purple spider silk stuck to the wall. Using the momentum of his run, Peter swung in mid-air, kicking down two of the shooting armed personnel and leapt behind them.

Peter glanced towards the window and muttered to himself, "Doctor Dora should be on the third floor—ready! Jump!"

"Wait, human!! Are you insane?! This is the 32nd floor, I might not be able to..."

Before the husky feminine voice could finish speaking, Peter rushed forward, smashing the building's glass, and begun free-falling.

He even yelled out in mid-air, "Whoo!!!"

"You truly are insane!!!" the symbiote's scream echoed through his mind.

Just as he was about to hit the ground, Peter reached out towards the wall. A purple spiderweb grabbed hold of him, and using that momentum, he swung, kicking open a window and landing in front of Dora, who held a stack of files in her arms.

"Perfect!"

"Help..."

Dora pushed her glasses up her nose and asked, "Is the plan still on track?"

"Change of plan—Drake sent guards to kill me. So where's the security room? We need to get the map first."

"Follow me."

Ten minutes later, at the edge of a rooftop of another high-rise building in Brooklyn area, Eddie and Matt watched the blaze from the Life Foundation building. Matt said exasperatedly, "I knew it. It was unrealistic to expect that kid to sneak in—he only knows how to use brute force."

Eddie picked up his phone, the cold light illuminating his face, making his expression even colder. He said, "The map has been sent, prepare to take action."

At the same time, in the basement of the Life Foundation building, Thor rolled on the spot, evading an attack.

He glanced back at the group of ordinary people huddled in the corner. They were homeless people, elders, and crying children. The sedative injected within them started taking effect. Shivering in the corner, they could do nothing else, not even run.

What Thor faced was a man who had gone mad.

After being sent underground as a homeless person, those in lab coats injected everyone with a sedative, picked a man out from the group, and threw him into a lab.

Soon after being thrown in, the man came charging out, beginning to attack others wildly. The people in lab coats observed from outside the window and coldly commented, "Test subject 0083, a second-generation body. Combat ability has significantly increased, but still lacks rationality."

Thor, who hadn't reacted to the sedative, stood up to confront the mad man when he saw him attack the unarmed people.

The mad man constantly lunged at the crowd. Thor bent his knees, lowering his centre of gravity, and watched his movements intently. As soon as he moved, Thor would charge forward to attack his lower body, disrupting his balance, causing him to stumble back.

Compared to Peter's enormous strength and Matt's exceptional skills, the mad man was certainly aggressive but nothing as extraordinary.

Thor was a seasoned warrior. He had fought numerous strange races in the cosmos and had extensive combat experience. He quickly discerned the man's weaknesses.

Although the mad man was raving and strong, he had no rationality. He couldn't discern Thor's feints. Often, Thor would pretend to lunge left, deceiving him to attack right, then suddenly trip him with an extended leg, bombarding him with punches.

The researchers behind the observation window furrowed their brows, and one picked up an intercom, saying into it, "Initiate emergency protocols. Have someone come and deal with this batch."

Inside the room, Thor raised both arms once again to block the mad man's next attack. He shook his wrists, examining his arm—already scratched with several gashes, bleeding profusely.
