Chapter 201 - Chapter 128 R: Big Bat Incident (Part 10) _1

"Alright, let's go over our mission objectives once more." Peter crouched on top of a building, with Pikachu on his shoulder, his ears being thrown around by the wind on the rooftop.

"After an initial investigation, we confirmed that the location of the bat commanders is in the underground of this block."

"Now it's daylight, they must be hiding in a room, so we need to cooperate with a vampire hunter called the Daywalker. Hopefully, we can take down their command center in one fell swoop."

Peter's gaze was fixed firmly on the street below the building, where a bar appeared to be shut during the day, but obviously held a secret within.

This was a contact point for a group of advanced vampires and after the invasion began, it was chosen as the headquarters for the vampire commanders.

"Soon, the Daywalker will make a scene at the front door to draw their attention. While I storm in to carry out a decapitation mission, you need to find a suitable opportunity to pull off a massive attack…"

"Don't worry." Pikachu patted itself on the chest and said, "The energy stored in my body is enough for me to release a 100,000-volt blast, but I'll only have one shot. You must force them to group together by using your agility, only then can we achieve maximum damage."

Peter extended a spider silk, sticking it to the wall of the building across the street, and began to descend, saying, "Watch me."

At that moment, a car exploded at the doorway of the bar. The debris shattered the glass of the bar, causing quite a stir. Not two minutes had passed before several shadowy figures ran out from the bar.

However, they didn't dare show themselves on the street, instead hiding in the shadow of the building. Blade Warrior crouched behind a truck not far from the street, observing the situation. He muttered to himself, "These rats are so cowardly, terrified of a bit of sun."

Having said this, he headed out, assault rifle in hand, firing a barrage towards them. A few vampires were hit by this sudden attack and quickly retreated into the bar, but soon reacted, teleporting behind Blade in the shadows.

Blade was all too familiar with this tactic, being a half vampire himself. He swung the machete in his other hand, striking it directly onto the arm of one vampire.

This vampire did not seem to be a native of New York, he was unprepared for Blade's fighting style and shrieked in pain, transforming into a bat to escape after being cut.

But this was precisely what Blade was waiting for. He swung his machete and dropped his rifle, swiftly pulling out a rather peculiar handgun from his waist. He fired a blue ice cone from the gun, hitting one wing of the bat, instantly turning the entire bat into a block of ice.

The other vampires, seeing this, rushed to provide aid, completely oblivious to the fact that at the back door of the bar, two figures had stealthily slipped in.

Spider Man originally intended to break in violently through the window, but at Detective Pikachu's suggestion, he chose to pick the lock, managing to enter the ground floor of the bar with Pikachu with barely any noise.

But this was just a facade, the real location was on the second basement level. Peter bent down and took a peek down the stairs, saying, "I did a quick headcount earlier; there are usually five vampires on patrol here. Four just left, so there should be one still guarding the entrance to the second level. We need to figure out how to deal with him."

"Use the freeze gun." Pikachu jumped off Peter's shoulder onto the floor, and grabbed the freeze gun hanging from Peter's waist at the same time. He said, "I'm smaller in size and can move into the blind spots of their field of vision without being noticed. I'll go and shoot him, freeze him in place. Just catch him before he falls to the ground and makes any noise."

Spider Man gave him an OK gesture, and Pikachu carried the freeze gun, which was pretty big for him, and slowly walked down the stairs in the corner.

Just as they planned, the vampire guarding the door, who had just had a fight last night, was now in bat form, hanging upside down from a beam to rest.

Pikachu managed to approach him without being detected. Pikachu felt it was a bit boring, raised his hand, and fired a shot. The result was just as planned — the bat froze on the beam without making any noise or falling — Peter didn't even need to lend a hand.

Peter tip-toed down, he crouched outside the door and took a peak into the room through a window on the door. He saw two figures inside. Just as he was about to go in, he heard a furious argument from within the room.

"You actually believe the nonsense from those humans? Why don't you understand? All of that is just gibberish they spread to divide us!"

"You are the one who's stubborn! Don't you know what they are spreading amongst themselves now? They say that our blood carries something that can grant humans eternal life. Do you understand how dangerous this is?" A female voice came from the room.

"So what? Do you think these weak humans would dare to hunt the noble Blood Clan? What ability do they have to do such a thing? These fragile ants are really just food for higher life forms!"
